*Note: TDLR at the end of the review Firebird: 6.5/10 I fully went into this knowing this sandwich was going to be a tad pricey, but for amount of ingredients they put in and the taste, not worth the price. Do not be fooled by my photo LOL. It is indeed NOT FAT. They're very light on the sauces. The dutch bread is fireee asf and honestly the saving grace of this sandwich. Service: 5/10 The staff were pretty timid, but they were nice. They took LONG ASF to make three little sandwiches. Bro, 30+ minutes?? For some sandwiches??? This is coming from someone who's worked food service. They weren't even busy fam. They had like 2-3 dine-in customers that already had their sandwiches and like 2 online orders. Also, some of the tables were dirty. Had to clean ours with a napkin. Ambiance: 6/10 The interior design was pretty nice. It did feel quite empty inside. The arrangement of the tables is pretty sporadic. They could definitely convert the tables into booths with all the space they got, but it seems like they don't get a lot of foot traffic. Parking lot was quite small, but my friends and I had no issues finding a spot. TDLR: Sandwiches aren't worth the price. If you don't care about prices, have at it. I wouldn't come back here purely because our sandwiches took 30+ minutes to come out as dine-in customers. Parking lot is small but found no problem finding a spot.

Today, we visited Ghost Sando for lunch. I ordered a large Santa Monica sandwich, which included pastrami, turkey, bacon, with house slaw, pepper jack cheese, on Dutch crunch bread. The young woman serving me informed me that it was her personal favorite. The sandwiches are categorized as either hot or cold, and the Santa Monica falls under the hot category. Since we were splitting the sandwich, we opted for the large size. The sandwich provided a substantial amount of protein, making it quite filling. While it is possible to consume one sandwich on your own if you're hungry, splitting it was ideal for my wife and me. To enhance our meal, we added chips and a fountain drink. The interior of the establishment was clean and well-maintained. However, there are a few drawbacks. The parking space is limited, and the egress from the lot, located at the southwest corner of Imperial and La Mirada Boulevard, can be challenging. Despite these minor inconveniences, I would rate the food and experience at 4.5 stars. We intend to return in the future.

Staff here is super friendly The food is good. The bread is the best love that you can customize everything like Subway, but the sandwich is so much more superior to that. I always get the biggest one because I like that the sandwich like stays the same size but the insights grow making that thing ginormous by adding a bunch of extra meat and cheese. They're pretty good options. The inside of the building is pretty clean and spacious very minimal.

I've always seen this place but never bothered to drop in until last week. Ambiance was clean, open seating, limited parking spots but I came when it wasn't busy. Service was friendly and quick. I ordered a 6 in sandwich that cost me around $14 with tip. It was good but a little steep in price for a 6 inch sandwich. For a couple more dollars, I should have just upgraded to the next size. Anyway, would I come here again? Maybe.

My husband and I have been wanting to try this place for a while. We recently ordered takeout and weren't disappointed! We both ordered the large (8 inch) sandwiches; I tried the Club Sandwich and my husband had the Pastrami Mami. Both sandwiches were absolutely delicious, flavorful, and filled with high quality, fresh ingredients. The Dutch Crunch bread complemented both sandwiches well, and we thought it was unique and tasty. This place is pricey, but they give generous portions. We ended up feeling very full and satisfied with a large sandwich. I think we'd probably feel the same if we each ordered a shortie (6 inch) sandwich. When we went inside to pick up our food, the interior was clean. It's more of a takeout spot, so there are only few places to sit, and the interior is fairly small. The staff were friendly and had our order ready quickly. We had a great experience and we're looking forward to coming back again soon!

I have been here a few times , I've ordered the Santa Monica sandwich and the Farmer Breakfast Sandwich. The best way I can describe this place is like a mix between Ike's and Jersey mikes. The bread is similar to Ike's, but the quality of the meat is similar to Jersey Mikes. The sandwiches are more saucy and filled than Jersey mikes, which I like. These are definitely a shareable size, even a regular sized sandwich. The Santa Monica sandwich is always my go to, it has a good amount of meats, they all blend well together, and I like the sauce that's in it as well. If you don't like a sandwich that is messy, I wouldn't get this one, otherwise i definitely recommend it. The Farmers Breakfast sandwich wasn't really up my alley, I felt that all of the meats didn't really blend well together. It wasn't horrible but I believe if I would've gotten a more simpler sandwich this could easily be one of the better breakfast sandwiches around. The size is huge, it will keep you filled up until dinner. Overall, the sandwiches here are very good and I would recommend to come here, the staff are friendly and the ambiance is more of a grab and go place but there's plenty of seating inside as well.

Went AGAIN!!! Second time in a week and it was amazing once again. I ordered the XL Better and hubs created his own. This was my second time there and hubs first. He's very picky and he loved it. The bread, veg, cheese n proteins were all very fresh. Last time I had the Better I shared it with MIL and it was perfect. This time I got it for myself thinking I would save half for dinner. Didn't work out too well. Didn't enjoy it at all 6 hours later. Won't do that again. I think next time I have it yo myself I will do their new shortie, so there will be no leftovers. The bread got hard and the lettuce made the sando soggy along with the spread n sauce. Service was just as wonderful as the first time. The shop was clean and enough space to spread out. Has about 6 tables or so.

Ghost Sando had been on my must try list for over a year now, glad I don't have to venture out to HB to finally try these sandwiches! Stopped in tonight (11/7) to grab a sandwich to-go & service was above and beyond. I was able to get a sample of the meat before ordering & ended up getting the Firebird. It was super good & the Dutch bread was everything I had been craving. I ordered the regular (shortie) & it was a good size. Interior is small but there is seating if you wish to stay and eat. It was clean & staff was super super friendly. Parking lot is small, it wasn't too busy & we were able to swoop in on a spot pretty quickly. I can't wait to come back & try their signature sandwiches!

HAVE: Pastrami on a Dutch Crunch Bread Tuna on a Dutch Crunch Bread TAKES: I was excited to try this spot after reading so many positive reviews, especially about their famous Dutch Crunch bread. Unfortunately, the bread was hard and chewy when I was expecting something light and crisp, but you certainly get your money's worth with the size. Their sandwiches start at size 'Large" which can easily enough to split between two people. In my opinion, it's a good value for the size especially they load them up with fillings, however, the taste is pretty standard rather than a specialty. The restaurant is new in an old establishment so it is clean. Service was straightforward for my takeout order which was all you need. Parking is very limited.

This place was a shot in the dark for me, my first time here and so I played it safe and got their "Uncle Nikki" because I guess that was their most popular. It was actually REALLY GOOD, the bread for the sando was nice and crunchy but also it kinda had like a sweet butter taste. The bread was actually the best part of the sando. I would definitely come here again if I'm craving a sandwich. The staff was normal, like proper etiquette for a workplace. She even made sure to let me know how big their regular (6in) was because it's a new size they had and that's what I asked for. The parking it shares with neighboring business is pretty small and compact, I got lucky and found one.

The vibe here was on point from the moment we walked in. Even with a packed front room and tons of to-go orders, Christina handled everything flawlessly. She was welcoming, engaging, and never once lost her spark in the middle of the rush. Truly the kind of customer service this world sometimes lacks. The sandwich was fresh, full of flavor, and absolutely delicious. I even had a cute little heart drawn by my name -- such a small touch, but it made it feel like it was made with love. Love when something from the west side hits this part of town. Ghost Sando does not disappoint. Hearty, saucy, flavorful sandwiches on that Dutch crunch bread. Lots of great Sandwich spots in La Mirada, however I'm not sure if this is my favorite. The quality of the food was excellent, very fresh I just don't know how I feel about the Dutch bread! Anywho parking is limited, service was quick, small indoor shop, but cozy. Overall I may give them another try perhaps a different sandwich. read more

First, the parking is absolutely awful. As for the sandwich, I wasn't impressed. The bread didn't seem that fresh and the ingredients were just okay. I will admit that I was not aware that the larger the sandwich meant the more protein. Well, I'm from the SoCal, and when walking into all the other sandwich shops, larger means a longer sandwich. The store is modern/contemporary and fairly clean. Thanks, but it's a hard pass for any future visits. read more

Location is not ideal for me at least, but not horrible. Good music, clean restaurant and excellent food and service with a smile. We typically get the sandwich called the Uncle Nikki, which is essentially a ramped up Italian sub, and let me tell you it is simply awesome, the Dutch crunch bread, with quality ingredients is crave worthy!! It's a bit pricey but well worth it for the quality of food. It's hard staying away from this place!! Staff here is always friendly and welcoming. read more

Tried out the new sandwich shop in town. Seems like they have other locations in Orange County, so they are expanding. The workers were very helpful explaining the menu and even provided a sample of the sandwich dressing they make. I went with the Mobster XL sandwich which is essentially an Italian deli meats sandwich. They really load up the meats and veggies and their bread is unique with a crunchy top. The XL sandwich can feed two people due to how much they pack it. Sandwich comes out to $23 bucks with tax n tip and if you make it a combo, be ready to pay close to $30. Very delicious though. I'll be back, just not too often. read more

The friendliest host ever. She was genuinely interested in our conversation about "cash". Super amazing selection of sandwiches. Something for everyone. I only wish Breakfast Sandi's were served a little later on the weekends. But we will go back a little earlier to get a breakfast Sandi. My friends and I tried Ghost Sando Shop for the lunch today. I was pleasantly surprised at how huge and hearty the sandwiches were. I had the club with no mustard. It was SOOOO good. The pepperoncinis added the perfect little baby kick and went so well with the avocado. The crispy outside of the of the bread added the perfect kind of crunch. We were helped by Christina, who was super nice and had great energy. 100% recommend! Definitely going back to try another sandwich. read more

Just tried this sandwich shop that opened in La Mirada, and it absolutely delivered! Everyone in our group loved their sandwiches -- fresh ingredients, delicious bread -- crunchy and soft, generous portions -- especially if you upgrade to XL or XXL, and great flavor combinations. The Firebird sandwich was the star of the show. It's perfectly spicy -- just enough heat without overwhelming your taste buds. This place is definitely going to be a regular stop for us. Impressed! The service was fast and friendly. We got 3 sandwiches and a drink and received it in under 10 minutes. The store was super clean and organized. The team was super welcoming and went over the menu with us. And the manger came over to introduce herself after and asked what sandwich was our favorite. We agreed on the Tornado. We tried the Tornado, The Better, and Rubin's Cousin...all were 10/10. The Dutch bread was delicious! I was going to take pictures, but it looked so good that we just dug straight in and once we started we didn't want to put the sandwich down. This place is definitely our new favorite sandwich shop. The overall quality and quantity of each item was 10/10. We'll be back soon to try other sandwiches. I hope they open up a location in Whittier next! read more

First time coming to Ghost Sando Shop. It's like Jersey Mikes but WAAAY better and much tastier. Veronica took our order and was so friendly and provided some excellent recommendations. We had the Melrose and Uncle Nicky, both were equally delicious. Definitely will come back for the sandwiches and delightful staff. :) read more

I walked in here after seeing the "Ghost" sign and fully expected it to be Ghost pizza that was once in Burbank. Once I was in and realized it was not pizza but a sandwich shop , I wasn't going to just walk out with nothing, so I ordered the club sandwich(ate it before I could take a pic) and the tuna sandwich. I'm not sure what they put in their sandwiches, but this tops any one I've ever had before!!! Service was quick as well, so you can't go wrong with that, and the place was really clean. read more

The holiday sandwich was tasty but at the bottom was soggy. Turkey was a bit overcooked but still tasty. Service top notch and the restaurant itself tastefully decorated. The sandwiches are expensive though. For the money I'd choose La Scari's or Claro's Italian deli before here. read more

The place was clean, the employees were very nice, and the food came out quickly. Taste wise the sandwiches were very good. The only issue for me is the price. Two sandwiches, two bags of chips, a fountain drink, and a cup of water came out to $48. That's close to the price of a sit down restaurant. Too steep for sandwiches for me. If the price was lower I would definitely not hesitate to come back on a regular basis. But at around $20 for a sandwich I don't see myself coming back, even though their sandwiches (especially the bread) are delicious. read more

Update: You can see by the owners response where the staff gets their poor attitude - enough said Food is ok but the prices are high & the service is the worst kind where they are trained to sound friendly when you walk but the give the WORST customer service time & again if it weren't for the BOGO on Uber there'd be no reason to come here read more

Found this place while scrolling through yelp and it has quickly become one of my favorite sandwich spots. I have tried Uncle Nikki and most recently their breakfast sandwiches (the farmer & sunrise). I would highly recommend all of them. Great and friendly service. We have been curious about this spot for a while since they were first renovating. Today was our first time trying it out, ironically on National Sandwich Day . These are absolutely incredible, hands down the best sandos i've ever had. We both got hot sandos and are hard foodie critics, my boyfriend gave it a solid 11/10. Which we don't take lightly lol, Right from the beginning the customer service was amazing, the lady gave us sauces to try and my fav was the Howdy, my boyfriend's was the Blast. I was in the area and my husband suggested this place since he has tried it before and said the sandwiches are good. It was AMAZING!!!so much flavor packed into one bite. The ingredients are fresh, the spread was flavorful, and the bread was to die for! I had the Santa Monica and I'm not a fan of pastrami, but I didn't realize it came with the sandwich. This sandwich definitely made me a fan of pastrami. I'm in West Covina and I would love for it to come to our neck of the woods since La Mirada is a drive. Please bring Ghost Sando to my town!!!! read more

I actually tried this sandwich shop in LA and it was super duper impressive. I got the Santa Monica and I was happy to find out that this place is close to my house. The guy who took our order seemed like he didn't want to be there and we felt kinda rushed to order. The service was great only because of the lady noticed that our order was taking a little too long so we got a free fountain drink from her which was appreciative. The sandwich was great and I plan on trying the whole menu. I'll still come back regardless of that uncomfortable interaction. read more

Ordered a sandwich that had no spicy symbol next to it on the menu and couldn't even eat it bc it was too spicy. Called the shop and told them and they said other people have had that complaint too. So why not update the menu items or clearly state the spice level? Really disappointing. The worker said the Melrose isn't supposed to be spicy but people have diff spice tolerances as they have heard. Not coming back again. read more

Third times the charm! Tucked nicely into a Penn St. neighborhood, Uptown Provisions can easily be spotted by the loyal patrons waiting/dining outside. May the street parking gods be kind to you as they always provide me with a spot nearby. I went with the "Tom's Way" sandwich. Dedicated to one of their favorite customers, it's a crossover between an egg sandwich & a pastrami. It was perfect! Chef Aaron describes his sandos as the perfect West Coast sandwich, & that I can totally agree with. Tom's Way provided me with a robust sandwich blend that never knew I needed until now. We said yes and she said "Go to the register" where two younger girls were laughing and talking- literally doing nothing, we walked over and asked if we could get some salami, and the girl said do you know what kind? And we said no we had some questions to which she responded "Well go back over there. They're going to be able to help you better than me." What? Why are you open at all, let alone on a holiday if you hate your customers or don't want to help anyone/work? There were very few customers inside and the employees attitude (the ones not preparing orders) was just nuts. I have 12 minutes of video, it's wild. The absolute best place you can go for sandwiches, deli meat, pretty much anything deli/Italian market is Claros in La Habra. They were closed- that's why we tried Lascaris. Claros also likes their customers so try them out. It's a win win.

Anyway, the guy said, "You must have got a tough cut" or "bad cut". I can't remember exactly the wording. But then he just shrugged me off. No offer to fix the problem. I was hungry, I hadn't had breakfast, and it was obvious the guy didnt care, so I just went back to my table and ate the rest of the bread and fixings while gnawing off any edible meat from my horrible steak. $26 for a sandwich and fries.
