There is always a restaurant which represents one neighborhood in San Francisco. A place which is a home away from home. A place where you feel like you are family or feel the food is being served by family. There is a neighborhood staple in San Francisco's Glen Park Village. You feel the electric family vibes while you are inside. This restaurant is named Gialina after a family member of the owner. On a Winter stroll on Diamond street in the Glen Park Village there is a neighborhood pizzeria which serves pizza with an egg on top for almost two decades. Inside you will find a menu with pastas such as potato gnocchi and ricotta cheesecake which has pistachios and cherries. I like getting the hot honey like in the hot honey pepperoni pizza. It was so tasty a bit cheesy like some in SF. It has a bit tangy but add the hot honey and it's makes the pizza not too sweet and savory. They also have a variety of wine available. This is a great place to have an intimate neighborhood dinner in the heart of Glen Park Village. Inside they have a picture of the "Tower " called Pisa and they also have pizza with roasted "cauliflower" and hand make their pizza with their own fresh "flour" and you can top it off with the hot honey which is sweet and not "sour " When comes to a true Glen Park neighborhood restaurant in San Francisco "only"called Gialina is a true "testimony" of a place to get the hot honey pizza " pepperoni "and wash it down a beer name " Peroni"

Overall: very good pizza, smaller portions for the price, cozy feels, I'll come back when I'm in the area 11 inch pizzas, thin crust, we ordered 3 for 4 people and we recommend ordering 4 if you're hungry. Each pizza could be a personal pizza if you're hungry. We ordered the Moto Pizza $26.00, Bianca Pizza $23.00, Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza $24. Pickup was smooth and easy. They have a small parking lot that we heard is typically always full (I have driven past here in the evenings and sometimes can see one spot open but this time I went there were zero spots). I double parked and was in and out in less than 3 minutes. Always seem to be people inside. Local place.

Cute neighborhood spot, but overpriced for what it is. Pies were solid (we split two pizzas and a salad between us two) but light. Even before leaving we joked we'd need a second dinner. We understand the dollar doesn't get you very much in SF in 2026 but definitely left feeling underwhelmed, overcharged, and under fed for what we paid. Service was decently friendly but by the time later parties arrived, the team of two seemed under water.

A friend found this place because we had another engagement in the neighborhood right after. The place is really only set up for groups of 2 or 4. Since we were a party of 5 they just added a seat at the end which kind of blocked the main aisle. It also meant table space was pretty limited, a lot of shuffling constantly. Everyone seemed friendly but it was pretty windy and we had to ask to close the door because the wind blew right into our table. When one door closes ... a window opens. The food was great. Nothing mind blowing but solid bites all around. Was nice to find a new spot in a new neighborhood.

I hadn't been to Gialina in 14 years (according to my last review), because they used to not accept reservations, and I refuse to stand around and wait at restaurants. But I recently learned they now take Resy, so I decided to come back. It's as delicious as always, with the added bonus that they've added some truly incredible sides/starters and a phenomenal ricotta cheesecake. A neighborhood gem with many vegetarian options that I feel so lucky to have within walking distance.

What a find . Hiding in plain site this gem in Glen Park. This unsigned building is a clue of the casual elegance of this destination. I had reservations and was seated promptly upon arrival. Even with a large groups of people piling in this place knows how to serve tables quickly , efficiently and every staff person was friendly and helpful. I ordered the meat balls, Burrata , and the Motto pizza Pie. I have to saw the meatballs were delicious and tasty with ample sauce. They are a good appetizer and a reasonable portion for some quick bites. The Burrata was creamy and fresh with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and with mortadella that was quite a refreshing addition to enjoy with the flat bread that is provided . The pizza pie was a thinner type of crust pizzeria , delicious and packed with flavor and was easy to down. The inside casual elegance of the interior, the casual and friendly patrons , and the delights and sweet and attentive staff make this a super find in my book . Reservations highly recommended as this place gets packed on weekends .

Hidden gem alert! Gialina Pizzeria in SF is a must-visit for pizza lovers. We stopped by 30 minutes after dinner opening without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised to get a table with minimal wait (they said we had one hour before the reserved party comes in and we were down for it) Kudos to the staff for being super accommodating and friendly despite the crowd. The pizza? Absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked crust, and unique and fresh toppings. Our little one loved the attention from the owner, who stopped by to say hello - such a nice touch! If you're planning to visit, make sure to book a reservation for next time. We were lucky to get in without one, but it's clear this place is popular for a reason. Can't wait to come back and try more of their menu!

Yummy neighborhood spot with friendly faces & some seriously good foods. I have walked by for many years since it opened. Finally tried it last Friday &I will absolutely return for the good people alone. New York,New York pizza was my fav thing we ordered. Food 4/5 Ambi 4/5 Service 4.5/5

We ordered 2 pizzas to go. The vegetarian one I didn't care for. It had pesto, olives, cheese. The tomato based one with mushrooms and sausage was much tastier. The crusts are perfectly crispy, crunchy, thin. We also had a side of meatballs which had lots of sauce but unremarkable as I can make better tasting meatballs.

Came again for my usual moto pizza with pepperoni, and got a mushroom pizza for my 2nd one. First time trying the mushroom one and it was a hit with the whole family! Definitely will get the mushroom again!

I don't want to parrot what everyone else has said. This place has solid pizza and I love the salad. Parking can be challenging.

So while I can't speak to in person service or decor the delivery is on point. My peachy salad was just ok. The chicken was cold and not crunchy, and the cornbread crumbles were not crunchy at all, like kind of in between stale and crunchy... weird combo. Peaches and pickled onions were awesome though. The dressings that it came with which were a bbq sauce and some type of special ranch also were a weird combo, glad it was on the side vs in the salad itself otherwise I'm not sure I would have eaten it. Crispy cauliflower was good but definitely not crispy at all! Probably got softer on delivery but definitely not something that should be advertised as crispy when it's not... The saving item was my carrot ginger agua fresca- this was amazing! Loved it, that gets a 5/5. Food is 3/5.

Steak was barely flavorful, quite cold even though it was "cooked on the spot". The caramelized onions were cold and nothing out of this world - if anything because they were chilled, they lost a bit of their flavoring. The croutons were nonexistent, I almost had to go back and ask if they could add some until I found 3-4 at the very bottom of my bowl. A lot of greens which was good, good serving there. I got a side of focaccia and that was delicious (do wish they offered to toast it a bit, it'd be that much more yummy!). As for my other visits, same applies - unfortunately it's just an overpriced salad I know I can make better at home. Not to mention 1 of my visits was a pickup order and they completely forgot my dressing on the side. All in all, I am very let down by this place. Dare I say I love and prefer it to be Sweet Green. Bummer, I really was happy to have this in the area.

The restaurant itself made a great first impression. It was clean, organized, and even had a nice little area set up for social media photos. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the presentation. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with Greek chicken. The chicken was dry, and it was obvious the seasoning had been sprinkled on after it was cooked instead of being cooked into the meat. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts and fried cauliflower. The Brussels sprouts looked perfectly crispy, which is exactly how they should have been, but they were soft and soggy instead. To make matters worse, the sauce was packed inside the same container, so the steam made them even soggier while also heating the small plastic sauce container inside. The fried cauliflower was equally disappointing. It looked crispy because of its golden brown color, but there wasn't a bit of crunch. Instead, it was oddly firm, almost al dente, making it feel more undercooked than fried. I also tried the garlic chicken soup, expecting something similar to Avgolemono. Instead, it was a thin, watered down broth with the same dry chicken pieces from the Mediterranean Bowl tossed in. The pita bread served with it was honestly the worst part of the meal and the only thing I threw away. Nothing was completely inedible, but for more than $60 worth of takeout, I expected food that matched the clean, inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. Sadly, this experience fell well short of that, and it's not a place I'll be returning to.

No legitimate phone ordering system needs your CVV read aloud over the phone; that's the kind of information you only enter yourself on a secure, encrypted checkout page. Asking for it verbally is a red flag for how they're handling (or storing) customer payment data. On top of that, the location was too busy for me to just park and order in person instead.
