Food 5/5: Wow I'm surprised this Pizza Place did not get at least 5 out of 5 stars. This is a thin sized crust with delicious sausage, onions and pepperoni. Service 4/5: There were 2 guys working there and I know pizzas take at least 10 minutes to bake in the oven but they could of been a little faster. I would call ahead of time and order the pizza. Other than that, the server was friendly. Ambiance 4/5: Its not anything fancy. Its located on the outer sunset right across from the beach. Got their House Special pizza to go and it was way too salty with all the meats. It was the closest one to a combination pizza. It was either that or a vegetarian pizza. The House Special had sausage, salami, pepperoni and mushrooms. Not sure why they don't just have a straight combination pizza on their menu. You're better off choosing your own toppings if you want a combination pizza. The crust was a bit thick and dry. I am going to update this review and upgrade Pasquale's to 4 stars. After I wrote the first review on 11/8, I received a Yelp message from someone I don't know pointing out "Saw your review on Pasquale's, just wanted to let you know they're closed on Tuesdays and wednesdays. So if you tried to call or go there on either day, that's why you couldn't place an order. And they have a sign on the window disclosing that information. Just a heads up since a 3 star review is distasteful considering you haven't even tried the food and couldn't do enough due diligence to find their hours. Have a good one!" Wow, I'm glad he didn't ask to speak to my manager or have my pay docked. So I pulled out the paper menu I took with me: it says they are open seven days a week. But those can be outdated, so I looked on their yelp page: Mon 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tue 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wed 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thu 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM Open now Sat 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM OK. Not that I'm feeling defensive but I want to point out that no one really eats in at the Sloat location, it's almost all delivery or takeout. So I think most customers will look at Yelp or the paper menu. And be confused. OK so it's good old USA pizza, nice sauce, nothing fancy but good. And they are closed Tue - Wed. The dough and the sauce is on point. Soft crunchy crust with a sweet tart red sauce. Unfortunately the Mushrooms seemed premature/ skimp. Threw me off tbh For $38 delivery the large house special was above average. The pepperoni sausage and salami was good but the mushrooms was bottom of the box which was no bueno This place is nostalgic for all those in sunset growing up eating pizza , It's great to see the indoor dining and booth seats available. I don't recommend this place. Check the picture below, but the cheese was this weird consistency and tasted bad. Crust was hard and sausage alright. Came here looking for a bite on my way to the beach, and I have to say the location is pretty convenient. Priced reasonably, service good too, the employees looked COVID-conscious and had the pizza ready within 10-15 minutes. I just can't overlook how bad it tasted though. You're better off going a little more out of your way for something else. read more

Pasquale's is a little neighborhood pizza parlor. There's a ledge on the outside where you can enjoy the pizza. Most of the indoor chairs were on top of the tables so I'm not sure if you can eat inside. I always wanted to try their pizzas because I pass by this restaurant almost every weekend on my bike rides. This afternoon, after a six hour bike ride, I was famished. It took about 20 mins for them to make my XL clams, garlic and pesto pizza. The pizza tasted great! It was oily, had a strong garlic/pesto taste with bits of clams. The texture of the crust was a bit stiff. It was like bread sticks. Good job staff at Pasquale. Always stop by on our way home from the zoo. Our go to is the charbroiled chicken pizza with chicken, garlic, green onion, and tomatoes. If you like garlic and savory flavor, this is the one! Usually if we want Pasquale's, we go to the Sunset location. We were driving down Sloat and had a random pizza craving before heading home, so why not. Made that u-turn and before I knew it we were calling in for pick up. Theres a tiny parking lot there. Big enough to park your car, call in for pizza, watch the guy pick up the phone, then make your pizza. No frills about the ordering process, but the guys were nice! The bathroom is outside and tiny; think gas station in Lebec,CA. (Sound familiar? Think I-5..almost at Disneyland...) We got a simple pepperoni pizza. The pizza was good! We may or may not have ate the whole thing in the car as we were driving home. The cheese did its thing, the pepperoni did what pepperonis do, and that was that. Would I order again? I loved dining at Pasquale's Pizzaria for decades until I noticed a decline in quality, quantity and service. The only thing that went up was the sky high price. I ordered a thin crust Hawaiian pizza; it didn't have any cheese or sauce on it. Their grilled meals are better. I enjoyed the hamburger steak with mushroom burgundy sauce, pasta, and vegies. But the delivery service was a disaster! The driver failed to include several items. A horrible dump with extremely rude service. First off, the on-line menu has offerings that aren't available. So after coming in to find out that all that food was not available , I asked for a menu. They gave me a menu from the counter. The first three choices they did not have. So out of desperation I ordered the sandwich which the menu said included a salad. Was informed ranch dressing was the only choice. After waiting at the empty, filthy, hotbox for 35 minutes, finally got the sandwich. I asked for the included salad per their menu, the rude white guy says they don't have that here. False advertising. And to top it off, an hour later I had diarrhea from that horrible, burnt sandwich. Never go to this place. Also, look at their reprimands from the health department. read more

Was told by a true San Franciscan that the pizza was a MUST to try. We went in and greeted immediately by wait staff... clean, COVID safe panels separating cooking area from ordering desk. You can't help but be drawn in by the delicious odor coming out from the doors that lead into a deli type set up with and option of ordering to go or being seated to the dining area. It was FAST service and to say that our pizza was DELICIOUS.... Is leaving me with the need to check for a more appropriate adjective. DIVINE, NO GREASE, thin crunchy crust and the cheese was perfectly gooey with the portions of meats and olive placed carefully to ensure each slice had the perfect combo of flavors. We normally eat about 2 pieces each and head out but NOOOOO... my fiancé and I devoured and left 3 small slices..Needless to say... WE FOUND the PERFECT pizza in SF!!! If you've been to Toto's in San Bruno... it's comparable BUT WAY better tbh. Not drippy nor was it over the top with a yuck greasy feel on the hands or the box! We will have to come back and try the other traditional pasta dishes but for now... GOOOOO get that PASQUALEs PERFECT pizza for game day!!!!! Was recommend this from a local on a Uber ride , apparently this place is over 40 years old . The negative reviews must be competition . This place easily smokes all the competition . This Pasquale's location has been around since I was a kid, so that's at least about 40 years (not that I wanted to date myself). I thought to swing by after visiting the folks and ordered a medium - half cheese and the other pepperoni. Just for the longevity (and sure because I'm a nostalgic kind a guy, who misses the Doggie Diner once nearby), I give points for this Pasquale's. This place also hasn't changed its look much - if at all - since my childhood days in the Outer Sunset, so more points for that. In addition, this joint has a no-frills decor and still uses an old cash register though credit cards are accepted. Now for the pizza: It had the right amount of cheese, didn't skimp on the pepperoni and had a good chewy though not doughy crust and bread. Bottom line, my family liked it a lot, and that's all that really mattered. read more

This place is legit. I usually don't review a place until I've been there a few times, but this was definitely worthy of some kind words. Had a long day of walking around the zoo with my daughter and this place is conveniently located across the street. There are only 3 tables in the tiny dining room, but there's a cool outdoor counter along the window ledge outside. It's also really warm in there, but that wasn't gonna stop us. The sausage goes on raw and is just super fresh. Nicely laid out on a layer of sliced mozzarella. Each bite was incredibly juicy and the crust was awesome. When I come back, I'm definitely gonna dive into some seafood pizza. Can't wait to try those clams. Great job guys, I'll see you next time read more

It takes several bad experiences to review negatively on yelp. Just so you know... Order delivery down the road takes 1-1.5 hours every time you call. No matter what. Last 2 deliveries were late and incorrect pizza orders. When I ran to catch the driver he made me call the shop to which they blamed the driver to which he blaMed the shop. My party to watch football had to wait another 40 minutes for the other pizzas. Pizza never arrives hot, always need to oven to reheat. So we started to do pick up. Not be lazy and verify wE get it hot but the last two orders were wrong on pickup. I loved pasquales on Irving and when i heard it was on Sloat after we moved I was ecstatic. But they are not the same. The pizza is ok. It lacks the quality of the Irving location and freshness. Veggies always seem old or not ripe and the meat has left us with sour stomachs from time to time. I want to love this place but I just can't. If you need some late night pizza this will do, just don't n expect anything like the inner sunset location. The staff at the shop have been apologetic and I appreciate that. But I think 4 strikes is enough for my own out. read more

Bad experience. I was at the SF zoo with my son and craving some pizza. Out of convenience I thought I'd try Pasquale's pizza. I called and ordered my pizza while still at the zoo. Quoted 25 mins for pizza. I arrived 30 mins later. Issue #1: ordered a medium half veggie/ half Mediterranean and was charged $30. Apparently if you order half pizzas, they charge you for every single topping on the second half. I've ordered at many pizzerias before and if you order half/half they charge you for the more expensive half, not both. Sketchy. Also, I usually order a side of pizza sauce for dipping my crusts. They said I couldn't have any side sauce because it was raw. I've never known of any issues with raw pizza sauce...? Next issue: after paying for the pizza, I was handed 2 pizzas, I almost left with them but realized they weren't the correct box sizes for the pizzas I ordered. Turns out they gave me someone else's meat pizza. Found out, my pizzas were just put in the oven and I was quoted an additional 10 more minutes. I have a tired kid with me so was pretty annoyed at the extra wait time. Note: Apparently the chef decided to cook several pizzas after my order was placed....so I was told. So nice of him! 15 mins later my expensive, over-priced pizzas were ready. Got home and pizzas were mediocre. Had way better pizza for less money at other local pizzerias. Nothing fancy here, just a solid neighborhood pizza place a few blocks away from the beach. If you're worried about the presentation of your food, this might not be the place for you. But if you're just in the mood for some good hearty pizza, this is the spot. We got the Meat Eater minus the beef and it was exactly what you'd want in a meaty pizza. I Completely 100% DISAGREE with Jrod E. & Benjamin W.... I've been eating Pasquale's Pizza, etc., since I was a little kid and always LOVED the Irving Street Location's grub. The Pizza and the Antipastos were ALWAYS Fantastic! Then there was a fire in the Kitchen of the Irving Street Restaurant way back when (70's-80's?), and since then their Pizzas were hit-and-miss at Best, and sometimes Dreadfully Awful. I've heard it's because the old Ovens were REALLY HOT and that Ovens that Hot were not up to Code... but were Grandfathered-in, and the New Ovens they replaced them with, don't get as Hot, which supposedly REALLY affects the Pizza. After that, we started eating exclusively across the street at the Villa Romano, which was a much better Pizza than the "New" Pasquale's. A few years ago, me and my gal ordered Delivery from the Irving Street Location Three Times in a row... and every single Pizza was like a warm Brick that gave me the worst stomach aches. After the first, I assumed it was just a freak situation...So I tried another... and then another... Obviously I'm a Gluten for Punishment. They were the worst Three Pizzas I have EVER Had. But this entire time, the Sloate Street Location has been Tops. Always a Great Pizza! read more
