I would like to thank the idiot who pretty much ruined my dining experience here. And unfortunately he is not an employee... I decided to try this place for a quick bite. Very polite staff. The place is mostly take out with about four tables. After debating for about two minutes on getting a slice I opted for a gyro combo with fries, small salad and a drink. Wait time was about five minutes or so - good wait time. The food was just so-so. I could tell the Kronos gyro was a bit overcooked and the pita was greasy. The fries were hot but relatively tasteless. The tzatziki was too thick and when I attempted to pour it on the gyro the entire amount fell out in one big glob. So the beginning of the gyro tasted right but the last part, not great. Now to the guy who ruined my meal. This shady looking guy in his early 30s probably came in and ordered a pizza to go and then came up behind me muttering something. I turned around and he said something unintelligible like "bet you thought I was talking to you" or something. Then he laughed, and sat across from me muttering and cussing to himself and said something about spitting in food. He made mouth fart sounds and paced around a lot. He had to have been high or something. I started to eat the salad which didn't taste great to begin with, and of course started thinking about his remark about spitting in food and I just couldn't finish. I gave the guy somewhat of a dirty look. He was really disgusting. When I got back in my car he was touching his face a lot and just acting weird. I could see him through the window. I give this place two stars- it might have been three had my meal not been ruined. read more

Tonight was the first order I've ever made here. This is by far the fastest pizza delivery I've ever had. I was tracking it and they were already at my door within 20 minutes and I don't live THAT close. I even said in the special instructions to just call because it's difficult to find our apartment but they went above and beyond and came straight to the door...wow... Very impressive. Absolutely my favorite pizza place in San Diego, save coronado. It is easily a 5 star for California pizza but compared to pizza back east it only gets a 4. The pizza is California fantastic: Crispy and soft crust, perfect sauce ratio, real mozz cheese and well cooked toppings. The mozz cheese sticks are awesome too. One thing I respect is a family business because I know a family will take care of their customers more than a regular employee. Giant Pizza King was my go to place for pizza but the rude guy on the phone changed that. That guy wants to be a punk on that phone when we ask for specials, never had an issue in the past when we ask. I will take my business to dominos. We had a wonderful experience ordering a pizza for pickup. They kindly apologized that their delivery would take a couple hours due to order placed before ours. We decided to pick up our food instead. After placing our order, the restaurant called us back to ensure that they had the order correct as we had picked a new item on the menu. Once the pizza was ready, they called again to say it was ready. We had the speediest checkout, and the man working told my husband to let them know what we thought of our pizza. We got the Popeye pizza and added bacon, and it was delicious! The crust is excellent, and we're excited to go back soon to try other items on the menu! Gluten Free pizza tasted GREAT! However, I will caution that I'm not sure if it was carefully prepared with separate pan / cutter / etc. I did have a pretty bad tummy ache afterwards as I have a food allergy. I ordered garlic bread with cheese for $5.99 with my order. When my order was delivered it was 2 slices of toast with cheese melted over top. I called and told them what I received. I have ordered before and this is not what I should have gotten. The gentleman I spoke with was very nice and offered to correct it and have it driven to us. I said yeah and thank you. 15 minutes later I received a call back from Michael telling me because I ordered through Uber eats, that I needed to call them to fix "my mistake". I was craving fried zucchini, which is hard to find in Santee. Got a generous portion that was pretty good. Chef salad was simple, but fresh. The Philly Cheese Steak sandwich was tasty. Delivery time was good time and food was hot. However, we had a problem with the chicken wings which were very small and overcooked. Spoke to Mario the manager the next morning. Wasn't the best pizza. The service was very friendly and they were fast, however the pizza itself wasn't really that good. Got the Greek Pizza and just not good. They had an interesting twist on garlic cheese bread, which was two big slices of bread with butter garlic and cheese. I was honestly surprised at how good it was and I enjoyed it. Just came in at 2 in the afternoon and there was only one employee working, his name is Mike. He seemed overwhelmed by the two orders that he had. On top of that he refused to honor the yelp coupon because he was fearful of losing his job from his boss Mario. Mario must be cracking the whip around this place too because compared to last time this giant pizza I ordered today has about 1/2 the amount of cheese and pepperoni on it. Kenny and his family have the perfect combination: Great food, great service, great price! I just drove into town after a very long drive from northern CA. A drive that averages 8 hours took an extra hour due to several construction projects along I-5 and a couple of accidents to boot. I was hot, miserable and needed something in my stomach for the 800mg of Motrin I needed to take to battle the pain in my neck and head. I was greeted by the friendliest face and a welcoming smile. I was choosing between the pesto and the white garlic sauce. Kenny swore his white sauce was THE BEST white sauce ever, so I opted for the large pizza with the white garlic sauce and chicken I then asked him if I may have a glass of water so I may take my medicine, and he pointed to the cold drinks and said, "Go ahead and get one - free of charge." I took the 20-inch (!!!) pizza and took it to my uncle's house, where I was meeting my mom and her siblings. Everyone loved it so much I returned that evening with my mom to order another large pizza. This time we also ordered 2 orders of the BBQ wings with the salad and fries, and 1 order of the lasagna, all of which were also very yummy. I use to come here all the time, my husband especially enjoyed this location... But, I decided to stop by the other evening and to my surprise it was greatly lacking. The salads are on point! I'll have to give it another shot with the pizza to know if that has changed but the onion rings and poppers were no good. Dry, hard and old. I didn't even bother after one bite. I have ordered twice and both times they screwed up the order. This time the delivery driver did not have any change at all and brought the wrong drink. I called the store and was assured he would "handle it." When the driver returned with change he did not have the correct drink or any drink for that matter. I called the store back and the same guy answered and was only concerned about if the driver had my money, not if my order was correct. This is our local go to pizza place. Our favorite is the 20" with gyro meat and any other toppings that we feel like having. Their continous specials include hot wings, fried shrimp, sodas or salads. Prices are reasonable, the guys are always friendly and courteous and we've never had a bad pie from there. The only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars is that I love thin crust NY pizza and this isn't it, but they don't try to pass it off as NY pizza either. read more

Just picked up pizza, wings & salad. Pizza under cooked & doughy. Wings soggy & under cooked, red meat inside by the bone. Peppercinis in salad old & dried out. Something hard in the salad, didn't investigate that, don't really want to know what it was, I spit it out & want nothing to do with any of the leftovers, pizza or wings, will toss it all, very disappointed. STAY AWAY. I had a horrible experience! I was overcharged and the owner Louis was racist. I would give this place 0 stars as our experience was the worst, and right out of a movie. We ended up ordering the UFC fight with a bunch of friends that came over. The host ended up ordering the pizza around 5:50pm about, and we expected to get the pizza way before the main fight of the night started. We were quoted at 1:15 delivery time which is pretty standard on a Saturday night. Yet we were now going on 7:20pm before some of us start making comments about being hungry and where was the pizza guy at.. So now it's about 7:40pm and the Host calls the Giant Pizza and they tell us that the delivery guy is on his way. So we were still waiting at about 8:10pm when the Host calls back and tells the owner we were going to refuse the order as it was taking too long and we were done waiting as all of us were starving. He tells us to wait and call him back when the delivery guy gets there. Ordered at 5:50 and the delivery guy gets there at 8:45pm.. So the Host calls up the owner again and as he is on the phone we tell him we are only paying half for the pizza or we are refusing it. The owner begins to haggle with us and drops the price from 44 to 35 dollars... We tell him no matter what he will only get half. More haggling ensues as he is only dropping the price by dollars at a time. Finally we are frustrated and just tell him that 22 is all or nothing firmly. The guy has the nerve to tell us 25, which we were frustrated and over it and handed the guy 25. So here is where the real fun happens.. Our order was 1 Giant Peperoni, 1 Large Peperoni Sausage and Onion pizza, 10 Wings, 1 2-Liter of soda. The delivery guy hands us just the 2 pizzas and no wings or the soda. The host asks him if he has it and he tells us yes and he will go down to the car and get it.. The driver just gets in his car and leaves!!!! So now we are all even more pissed off. We then drop it and go get some pizza and try to salvage the night... Little did we know as we open the pizza boxes was that the Giant was HALF Peperoni and HALF Cheese WHAT!! We then check the large... Peperoni, Sausage, and MUSHROOMS WHAT!! How are you 3 hours late, haggle the price(instead of being good customer service and giving it for free or a really work with us to keep us as a custoer), have our complete order incorrect, and have your driver take off after telling us he had the wings and soda in the car. Is this a great gourmet or high end pizza place? no, it is a simple giant pizza. And as giant pizzas go this is probably one of the best i have had. I also enjoy getting a gyro from here from time to time. but what we really enjoy is the salad dressing. I think it is a creamy italian of somesort. All I know is my family cant get enough of it.
