Don and his crew worked on a neighbor's sewer line, so when ours backed up, we called him right away. We had previously had roto rooter come out and clear the line, and got a quote for replacing the line. When Don's crew came out, Don quoted a very fair price for the work, much better than the other guys. Our line needed to be replaced, and they did a very quick and thorough job. They also discovered a leak under our house and fixed that on the same day as well. Our ADU was backed up and we needed a roto-rooter to snake and use a camera to check out what was going on. Given that the unit was new and had recently passed its final inspection, we were at a loss at what it could be. Don was very responsive and was able to come out the next day. Both him and Juan worked hard to diagnose the issue. Once Don was able to spot the cause, he offered to fix it even though the appointment was really just to diagnose the problem, and he also continued to use the camera and make sure there wasn't anything else further down the pipe that could be a potential problem. He was very straightforward on what needed to be fixed and what could be left alone, and I really appreciated that. I found him to be honest and incredibly thorough with the job. I had an urgent issue pop up with my home water main line. It developed a leak in the 25 year old pvc line and was in danger of massive failure. Way over charging, never on time and the biggest problem is we had other company to come and finish there job as they did a very sloopy job. Worst plumber ever! Avoid this plumber at all cost. Nice guy when he bids the job. After he's got the job he's an asshole. Constantly argues and raises his prices. I hired this guy for $6,000 to repipe and to fix a leak after three weeks and the worst Plumbing job I've ever seen, he still did not fix the leak. May 2018 I hired Giant Plumbing to replace my septic tank with a sewer line. The normal time to physically get this job done would be 2 weeks max. I understand that there is permitting and government regulations. That is why we hire a contractor to deal with this. I was assured by Giant Plumbing that this project would be complete by the end of August 2018. By October of 2019 all I had was a pipe in an open trench that aggravated my neighbors and I. This trench on the edge of a driveway that services 4 homes, is still open on my property, but the neighbors got so frustrated that they buried it after being open for 4 months. Giant Plumbing was great at responding to the request for work but extremely poor on the follow through. They make a point in avoiding communication. They will communicate with you when it suits them. Weeks of texting, emailing and phone calls go un-answered. They also make a point in letting you know that you are not a priority. If larger more lucrative jobs become available, you end up on the bottom of the list. I was "ghosted", abandoned. After sixteen months of trying to get this project done, I let him go (with no response from Giant Plumbing). I am now stuck with going through this process a second time. I've been played. My reputation and standing with my great neighbors was diminished. I would never consider them at all on any major work. You'll be left stranded. read more

We had Don to re-pipe our house with the copper one, and the work was completed on time and met our expectations and, most importantly, our budget! When we first call the company, we thought it is another issue which will take much longer to fix. After Donny came and identify it is different issue and easier to fix, he reduced the price. We have a leaking garbage disposal and previous plumber we worked (also who broke it) said we need a new one (our garbage disposal is new last year) and charged over $500. Donny quickly identified the issue and said the garbage disposal is good and don't need replacement. Another thing is that the communication is very good. He explained the things very well to us. Giant Plumbing was recommended to us for a simple drain unclog. While they were quick to setup an appointment, they never actually showed up. The first time it was because they had forgotten the machine. That's ok, I'm pretty patient, I'll continue eating off of paper plates and keep the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. It's only been about 5 days...So we rescheduled to the next day, and he stated he would give me a call when they were on the way. I suppose that part was true, cause I never got a call. I called them back and left a message asking for an update. That was 4 hours ago. In those 4 hours, I called RotoRooter, they confirmed my appointment, sent somebody out right away who was professional and friendly, and cleared my drain. AND they charged the same price as all the other plumbers in the area. I don't mind mistakes, everybody makes them, but I can't stand incompetence. As part of selling our house we agreed to abandon our septic tank and connect to the city. I got three quotes and while Giant Plumbing wasn't the cheapest I felt like they were the most competent. Sure glad I did! While pulling permits, Don let me know there were some old permits still open from the previous home owners which could have slowed the current permit for the septic abandonment. I was completely clueless on what to do but Don helped me out and let me know exactly what to do to close out the permits. His crew was on time day 1 and they were very respectful and took extra care to protect our landscaping. On inspection day Don was personally there to walk with the inspector (the owner walking with inspector? Is that typical?). There were a few items the inspector pinged us on from the previous owners but Don had his team fix the items on the spot.
