I worked with Able about 2 years ago and had a great experience, as did a family member. With this in mind, I contacted Able to get estimates for some sewer work and replace a tank water heater with a tankless one. Was told I had a belly in the line and that it was failing. Had one phone call, was promised a call 2 days later. After 4 days, called and spoke to Mark. He said he'd try to piece together the story and would call back that day. Got a call the next day where I got rough estimates but he said he needed to come out and redo the video. Made an appointment for 8:30am today.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] - [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mark didn't show, and they only contacted the backup number for my account (my ex) instead of the number if confirmed 8 times before to tell me a tech would be out at 1.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I called at 11am, they told me they texted and called (none of which I got), and that Mark would call me back in a few minutes. I asked for my fees to be refunded, wasn't given an answer. The office is a hot mess, emails go unanswered, and another plumber came out (for free) and scoped my line and neither of us see any belly - so now it seems like I'm being given false information as well. Able Plumbing changed the scope of work at my property without authorization by placing catch basins in wrong locations & moving a drain line where it didn't belong. They also cut a major power line that never got fixed properly for several days effecting 56 tenants. To make matters worse they spliced the cut power line leaving the wires sticking out of the ground, exposing it to children instead of running a new line to the junction box. In addition the contract called for a progress payment of 70% of contract amount at a certain stage but Able took 92%. They still owe me close to $5,000 for correcting some of their mistakes. Beware in using this company, Glen, the owner is unethical and lies to coverup mistakes. The Contractors State License Board has sent Able Plumbing a warning notice dated 11/8/2024, that any future complaints will result in more severe administrative action read more

I can't say enough positive things about the team at Able. Contacted them for a 2nd opinion on a sewer line backup that a different plumber couldn't resolve and quoted $25k for dig out and repair/replace of the line. Time was critical because a family member was returning home from a major surgical procedure in a few days and would need functioning plumbing during recovery. The owner of Able personally called after normal hours and scheduled his "go-to" tech to come out the next evening after already scheduled work that day. The technician was able to successfully clear the sewer line and clean the work area in under 2 hours and provided video of the line before/after the clean out. The manager Mark threatened to put a lien on my property after I refused to pay $150+ (for something that cost $50 at home depot) for a tiny plastic cartridge for my shower knob valve. They also charge a credit card surcharge of a couple percent Their guy messed up w the installation of the cartridge and billed me for their mistake as well. I really appreciate Tim from Able Plumbing company, Tim came out found the problem, got the parts that were needed, flushed the water heater a few times the calcium buildup in water heater was unbelievable, 15 years of so much buildup, he came back the next day flushed it again, continued to finish up the job by making sure the pipes were bolted down also secured them. I just want to say if you don't have a big project. Don't call Them. My property manager called them to solve my shower draining slow problem. They got a pink straw from the pipe. And it is from last tenant. Then Manager sent the bill to me and asked me to pay it. 5 mins work. They asked to charge me a full hour payment. So they don't have 30 mins range and some project price. I even didn't hear any quote from them before they came. Compared the service and price I got from another company before, they are disappointing me. I was able to determine that our septic tank was in need of servicing. I had a challange locating the second lid, but after talking to Able I was given a clue to find it. I located it and had both uncovered. Alberto and Lucas arrived in the appointment window after calling to update me with an ETA. They were quickly set up and worked for an hour pumping out the tank, which it was obvious was overdue. In addition Alberto check the inlet to make sure that it was unclogged. 1-17-2020 Last and final update, after many days they finally did return the call and apologized that the guy that did the work is no longer with them and why he did not recommend replacement of more of the line. They did a new quote and asked for more money, more than double the first charge. I grudgingly agreed with them, signed the work order and they never showed up. Called few times again and still no response. So finally I gave up and will find someone else to fix their mess. Not really sure how people run their business in this fashion. read more

When I started, I had a sink that leaked in two places and wouldn't drain. In no time at all, Evan had my sink doing everything it should do: drain and not leak. We had 2 faucet leakage and a slow drain sink. Evan changed the small springs inside of the faucets to save the cost of changing 2 whole faucets. He also advised which brand would be a better choice and some ideas to fix the water mineral build-up. For the slow drain, he pulled out a hair clog and a lot of toothpaste in the pipe. Maybe they are professional but do not rely on their committed time. Our septic tank pump has some problem so we called them and they arranged an appointment on Thursday. But on Thursday morning, right before the scheduled time, they said they cannot make it, and we need to move it to Monday. Sure, we can still survive. But today (Friday), we called to ask if Monday's appointment can be confirmed, they said no. ??? Ironically, this happened last time as well when our pump had some problem.
