Came here with high hopes after the other yelp reviews but was VERY disappointing. Our Food took an hour and we had to ask the kitchen what happened bc the bartender somehow never noticed. We ask the kitchen and they lost the order or forgot it or something they said, so an hour later we get two honestly average burgers. For $18 the burger needs more than 3 toppings like what's that about? Also nearly broke my tooth on a huge chunk of bone in the meat. For $18 I shouldn't have to sacrifice my teeth on bone. Hopefully Gil's can sort it out for others but we won't be giving it another shot after this. read more

While having an adult beverage at Murray's we order Linner from Gils. At the table we had the Antipasto Salad, Tuna Panzella Salad, Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup "best ever" and Hot Hawaiin Pizza. There wasn't a drop of food left. Good food, good prices and matched with Murray's it's a win win. read more

I love Gil's Goods, they have the best Margaritas and pizza! Their menu is good because you can get a veggie burger or a salad, they have to Taquitos that are amazing. They make really good French fries! This is a good local hangout spot. read more

This was our dinner stop in Livingston while on our way to Bozeman to catch our flights. I quite like how they open the doors to the bar connected next door and the servers basically brings out the food with the animal flower vase. We arrived around 7PM on a week night and the place was quite busy. However after getting our orders in by the counter the food came out quite fast actually with only maybe 10 min wait at most. They have a pretty nice selection of burger and sandwichs and I didn't feel like their fried food were that greasy and oily My personal favorite is the BLT sandwich that I got as a take out, very crispy and thick cuts of bacon and soft breads. The steak was nicely cooked just wish the portion was a bit bigger. Very clean and fast service and definitely appreciate the more fast food/casual dining experience with some good quality foods. Myself and three others ate here tonight. Not a fancy place, but a place where it appeared locals liked. We had the flautas and two pizzas. All were very good. Good selection of beer, also. We all really liked the classic rock music being played. Definitely recommend. read more

My wife and I visited on a Saturday night (Oct, 10th). We both had a burger with a salad as a side. For our surprise the salad came with the burger on the Same plate. Not a big deal but I've always had my salad as a side dish coming before the main dish (burger in this case) by the time I finished the salad the burger wasn't as hot and fresh. (That's not a big deal once again) What bothered me was our server. There was a game on TV and the server was way more interesting in watching the game than helping us. I had breakfast here with my family and some friends on Saturday, 10/8/16. We were seated pretty quickly, even though we had to put our own tables together. The breakfast menu was small, but what is on there was definitely done right. I had the Huevos Rancheros with hash browns. When it arrived I was a tad overwhelmed. I dived in and was not disappointed. There is a lot going on with this dish, but all the ingredients worked very well together. I got to try a bite of the Bacon egg and cheese sandwich, and eggs and grits. The biscuit for the sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. The grits were also good, but not my usual fair. The seating was not comfortable. It was metal bar stools with no back support. Blargh! Also, our server was very unknowledgeable, forgot food that had been ordered, left the table before obtaining everyone's order, and spilled food on my brother's shorts as she was clearing away dishes....and didn't apologize! I have been through Livingston quite a few times over the past years. My sister recently moved there from Bozeman. Every time I go through town I stop at Gil's. This visit I stopped by twice- both times I ate at Murray's which serves their food. The service and the food was all amazing- I had a caesar salad, gluten free pizza and we tried many of the desserts. A unique cafe with a small-town feel. They have homemade pastries and lots of specialty coffee options. Fast and friendly service. We are from out of state so stepping out and seeing the snow-covered mountains as a backdrop is breathtaking. I like that they make their food from scratch using local suppliers. read more

Everyone in town was here. I walked around to all the breakfast places and this was the one that had people at it. It's a coffee shop that serves breakfast. Open air seating. It's not a staff waited service place. It's a cafe. Food is great. Simple stuff that you walk away happy after eating. I had the croissant sandwich with sausage. We drove over an hour to get to Gil's goods after a long day at Yellowstone National Park. We were craving pizza and we would've settled for an okay pizza spot. Gil's goods blew it out of the water; the pizzas we tried were great (roasted garlic and P3) the draft rose and cider on tap were superb as well. Our waiter/bartender was extremely nice and very attentive. The restaurant itself is super cool, it connects to a coffee and dessert/ice cream shop and store. The barista was also super nice! If we ever visit Montana again we'll make sure to pay them a visit! read more

We definitely recommend Gil's, both for the food, and for how they are handling COVID-19. The pizzas are delightful and creative. The online ordering system is well set-up, and they still have their indoor dining room closed. On a Friday night the staff seemed a bit more frazzled, but I have driven by several times, and usually to-go orders are waiting on a little table out front. This place was such a wonderful surprise. My girlfriend and I were on our way back from such a disappointing yellowstone trip. Snow flurries and road closures. Just for clarification this venue supplies food to the bar at the hotel adjacent as well as having its own tables. My first night in town I had one of their amazing hamburgers in the bar and it was wonderful. Great fries and a craft burger. Read good things about Gil's so my wife and I were very excited to try it on our trip. We pulled into Livingston at about 9:45 and found our way to Gil's. It was decently crowded, the pizza smelled and looked fantastic! My wife and I were very excited as we waited in line. We got to the counter and the girl told us "that's it, not serving anymore food tonight" we were confused as it was 10:10pm. I asked "oh I thought you were open until 11pm" she replied "yep, but we gotta get people out so we can leave at 11". Let me mention my wife is 8 months pregnant and was starving from the long day on the road, but we were turned away during business hours. My wife and I were staying at the hotel next door and decided to go back to the room to get our phones to find other food then walked out passed Gil's again and what did we see? Them making pizzas for themselves and friends standing near the counter as they were flipping chairs at 10:20 while others were still eating. So they will turn away paying customers to feed themselves, and making the remaining customers feel they need to "get out" during business hours. That's just poor business. I'm sure I'll be in Livingston again, but won't be supporting Gil's. *******UPDATE after we got back to our hotel my wife and I met a couple staying in our hotel that were heading to the west coast and they said they are so sick from eating at Gil's they couldn't travel on, they had to stay a few extra days in Livingston to nurse their sickness thus ruining their vacation. I feel very bad for them but the thought of my pregnant wife getting food poisoning at this stage in her pregnancy is terrifying. Looks like the laziness of the staff helped us dodge a bullet! Husband and I split the Gil's signature burger (with tomato basil bisque) and the Garlic Pizza. Kids has the pepperoni pizza. The burger was probably the best I have ever had. Grass-fed beef, homemade bun. Garlic Pizza was good! Kids pizza was huge! But it was so so so so greasy!!! Get tons of napkins. Get drinks at the Murray. They are great! A few of my family, friends, and myself stopped at Gil's on our way to Yellowstone. The place is really cute, and the menu looked fun as well. The experience was not so great. The waitress that took our order at the counter was short and rude with us. There was no room to eat in the restaurant, so we set up two tables for the eight of us in the bar area, confirming that this was ok with the bar staff. 15 minutes later, the same waitress brings my salad out and drops it in front of me and says nothing else. No dressing, no word on when anyone else's food will arrive, nothing. I find her to ask for dressing, and to find out when everyone else's food will arrive, and she says she put them all on different tickets so they will come out all at different times! Not wanting to eat by myself, I wait for the rest of my party to get their food. 30 minutes later, everything thing is out but the pizza my brother ordered. I ask another staff person, and he says pizzas take 45 minutes! The waitress did not set that expectation when my brother ordered. His would take twice as long as everyone else's at least! When she finally brought the pizza, I told her we all waited to eat, and why didn't she explain when we ordered that pizzas take 45 minutes. She replied, "what do you want me to do about it." Clearly nothing. Top it off, I got sick from the food. Don't eat here. Stay far away. Bad food awful service. The bar next door seems cool though. read more

Didn't know what was the 'flower in the glass bottle' all about which the front desk handed to me after ordering. I can't convey how truly horrible our lunches were. I'm not sure why I ordered the pulled pork quesadilla and less sure why I ate it. 2 days later I'm still in bed with incredible stomach pains - my vacation is basically ruined. The meat was mystery meat, there were no black beans (probably a blessing), and it was tasteless - no sauce, cheese, nothing! My husband ordered the meatloaf sandwich, which he pronounced the worst he ever had. The meatloaf was cold, pallid, and flavorless. It was served on some tasty bread but the bread was light-textured and fell apart. It's safe to say that this was the worst lunch we've ever had. ******** 6 days later I'm still having cramps, although not nearly as bad.
