Right off the bat I was not a fan of the texture and the crab tasted like it came from a can. The flavors were not great either so we ended up adding our own sauce. It also did not taste spicy at all despite ordering level 4. Pad Thai Pork ($17.45): Got this with spice level 3 and vegan sauce. The pork was overcooked and tasted almost like chicken. The spice level came through on this one but the sauce leaned too sour, which I think was from too much tamarind. Mi Krop Crispy ($12.50): Crispy wontons tossed in a sweet and sour tamarind sauce with some scrambled egg and one jumbo shrimp. The wontons were not crispy at all and the flavor was only slightly better than the pad thai. Still not worth it. Dallas has so many solid Thai options that this one just did not make the cut for us.

Regardless, the food was very good and it was authentic, we did get dishes similar to what we got at Street to Kitchen in Houston, which is the most authentic Thai we've had. Food: I forgot to take pictures of two other dishes we ordered, the Thai chicken, wings, and the drunken noodles. But let me start with the complementary sticky rice. I've actually never had a complementary "starter" at a Thai restaurant, so they stood out, and it was a good meal prepper. The dip is an eggplant type of dip so it's not peanut sauce based. It was really good. The best dish was the crab dip with the shrimp chips, the dip was curried and balanced well with the crab. The chicken wings weren't as crispy as we're used to, and there were more on the saucy side, but it was a solid 4/5 dish. The drunken noodles were good and I feel like they had a great mix of veggies, beef, and noodles in the dish, so it wasn't so carb heavy. But we've definitely had better flavor drunken noodles before. Lastly, the mango sticky rice presentation was unlike anything I've seen before, and I loved it. Do I prefer the traditional sliced mango over a bit of rice? Perhaps. But I did enjoy tasting the mango and the condensed milk and a sticky rice together inside the coconut for a change. Service: we went during dinnertime on a Saturday night, and I was so impressed with the level of service we had. Because don't get me wrong, they were busy, but the food came out so fast & we had multiple servers filling up our water and ensuring we're doing okay. We were literally out of there in about an hour, but it wasn't because they were pushing us out, it was truly because everything was so quick. And I loved that strategy they used where we didn't have just one server assigned to us, which is probably why they are thriving here in Dallas. Overall, if you're craving Thai, I would recommend coming here.

The combo protein came with chicken, beef, pork, and shrimp and the dish came out piping hot and fresh. It tasted really good and is worth ordering.

You just order at the register, and they bring you the food to your table. This is definitely a well-to-do, ladies-who-lunch crowd with a significant mix of Highland Park high school girls. The patrons often seem to know each other. While not my crowd, I love a couple of items on the menu, most notably the Herb Roasted Chicken Salad. I now get that salad almost every time. Their iced tea is also very good. The service varies, though it's usually good. One time I waited 30 minutes to get my food. It turned out they had put it on the to-go table instead of bringing it to my table. There is a man there who appears to be the manager, and he is excellent at multi-tasking and attending quickly to the many demands. The customers casually expect attention (they are all very polite, but it's clear the staff know who they are serving, and about once a month, I am one of those being served). The prices are on the high end. I regularly pay about $25 for lunch of salad and a tea. Of course, that is getting to be closer to the norm these days. I've never bought from their cases of to-go food, but I was somewhat taken aback when a woman in front of me got food for her and her husband's dinner (she was talking about it as she ordered), and it was more than you would pay for a very nice sit-down dinner (but not as much as you would pay for dinner at a high-end restaurant). The case of to-go food has prepared food like roasted chicken, baked salmon, twice-baked potatoes, cooked vegetables, and multiple desserts. The parking is a nightmare. There are a couple of other businesses in the small shopping complex (e.g., a hair salon). The parking in front is tight, and for some reason they have a valet. There are two valet parking spots in the front. It makes absolutely no sense and clogs up the very tight parking area in the front. There is parking underneath the building. You enter on the left side. It's cramped with itty bitty parking spaces down there. Fortunately, I drive a compact car because anything bigger hardly fits in the parking spaces. And that area of Lover's Lane by the tollway is always a mess. I sometimes go elsewhere just because I don't want to deal with the traffic around there. But, the lure of the Herb Roasted Chicken Salad causes me to brave the traffic and parking.
