Wow the negative reviews just seem like people complaining because they are bored. When I come I sit at the bar order a few drinks, get a steak or a pasta and it's been amazing everytime. Usually the bartender is Britt and remembers my drink order everytime. Unlike olive garden when your at Gino's your family. The person who complained about a "bloody" steak that's not blood you're just ignorant to flavor. Maybe go to Applebees or even chilis for a cheaper cut of meat you can burn. read more

Everything was going well until a small issue they could have been easily resolved was overlooked by our server and the manager. We came on Christmas Eve and it was busy. But for sure they should have been prepared. Had some cocktails. They were strong. The old fashioned wasn't made correctly. One ice cube. Not multiple. We had the crab cake. It was decent. A ton of filler. Not a lot of crab to be found. We ordered the ribeye with fries. Excellent. Definitely cooked medium to specification. Fries were hot too. I ordered the peppercorn filet medallions. They were covered in the demi glace. Also I had a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The plate was NOT hot. The steak was warm at best. Could have been HOT. Especially if you are paying $50. The potatoes were COLD. I sent them back. The new potatoes I received were ALSO COLD. Unacceptable. You should not have to send cold food back twice. I was also told I could get the vegetables instead but would take long. We waited. They never came. Even asking our server at the end she said it's included in the price so there is nothing she can do. Salad was watery. Should have dried the lettuce before serving. First time at this restaurant and it was very nice! We sat in the bar area at a high top table. Cloth napkins on the table and really excellent drink menu. They bring you bread and soft butter to the table. i had the strawberry lemon drop and hub had the captains punch. We had the colossal shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. Ordered the main entree and we both had the 9 ounce filets with twice baked potatoes. The filet was so flavorful, we did not need A1 at all. Delicious. Went for dinner Xmas eve 5: 15 reservation. Noticed it was a special menu. Waiter took order 5:45. We told the waiter we had to make church by 7PM. After complaining to management food arrived 7pm. Got bill and noticed Gino's had already added 18% tip and 3% credit card charge. This place is a goat ranch with Lousy service that you pay for. Steak was not cooked to medium , More like med rare. When I complained to the manager he said it's cooked with a timer and that is medium. To anyone contemplating this dump save yourself and go to the Gino's in Dyer. Much better experience. Waitress told us they close at 8:00 so we needed to order everything at one time. My daughter and wife split the surf and turf at market price. Steak was just ok nothing special. Lobster was tough and was far from the best lobster I've had before. My filet was not that good. My son in law orders the seafood diavolo and didn't eat much of it We tried to get finished asap. The bill came and market price was $155 for filet and lobster. They added an 18% gratuity for four people along with a food and beverage tax. Total bill was $331.79 for three meals. NYE 2024 we had a reservation, called ahead to make sure everything was still on. We arrived to be greeted by the GM that the kitchen was closed. This was a very nice steakhouse and one you should try. It is located on US 30 just west of the I 65 overpass as you head west on US 30. It is on the north side of the street and you should look for it right as you near I 65 eastbound or pass I 65 westbound or you'll miss it. Inside it had a wonderful ambiance ... sort of like the old fashioned Wisconsin supper club thing. Meals came complete with salad or soup and bread on the table with butter ... things that you have to pay extra for at some places. Anyway this place is a nice throwback. We had the tenderloin medallions Diana (solid 4 1/2 stars) ... nice tender pieces of beef with mushrooms and onions in a red wine sauce ... only complaint was it was sort of a mess since the portion was large and the toppings were also large and all over the plate ... could have been a bit less generous with the toppings. The other in our party had the 9 oz filet (5 stars) a perfect piece of beef cooked just right. Both meals came with a potato and a side salad so one certainly had enough to eat. We shared a couple glasses of wine (4 stars) all very nice and fairly priced, and they had nice generous pours. They had a full-service bar. The staff was tip-top as they had enough people working the tables and they knew what they were doing. They also had a nice music list playing in the background - sort of an 80s thing going on ... nice and unobtrusive. For an over all score I would give them 4 1/2 stars - rounding down to 4 stars. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars was their added credit card charge of 3% or so. I know I am a dinosaur but I hate that nickel and dime charge many places are now going to. I hate to spend $100 or more on a meal and get nicked an extra $3 or $4 at the end ... this should be a cost of doing business. I think they should raise all the prices a small bit and continue to accept credit cards with no upcharge as a convenience to customers. But that's just me. Found this local place by seeing their billboard on Interstate 65. I needed a good meal after battling that darn Chicago traffic and construction! So glad I stopped!!! It was delicious they brought out some fresh baked bread with creamy butter and a delicious mix of peppers! Oh yes... I ordered the Gino's fillet which is a special fillet with blue cheese on it and some type of wine big dinner it was fantastic and melted in your mouth. I Slo-mo suggested a twice baked potato and it was out of this world is good I could only eat half of it is so large! The price is a little high here but I expected that for a nice steakhouse. Not at all impressed with the filet mignon I ordered, pretty much tasteless and almost. tough. I believe it was precooked and then put on a grill for esthetics..a few char lines. There was no tasty, crispy crust and the interior was dry. I don't mind paying $50 for a quality meal. This dinner was far from acceptable. The accompanying potato was also dry and not hot (as any potato should be), it was almost room temperature. The cheesecake dessert was very good & so were the cocktails. For a Friday night, I was really surprised by how empty it was. We were seated immediately at a cute little booth. There were 3 of us and the booth was a bit tight for us, so I wouldn't recommend those as a seating option for more than 3 people. The menu isn't massive - all food fits on one side then all beverages are on the opposite side. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly to order (medium) and was so tender and tasty. I opted for the mashed potatoes instead of the baked potato - a great choice. My sister ordered additional Shrimp D Jonghe to go with her filet and she really enjoyed it. My other friend ordered the lamb chops and she said they were very good. I enjoyed both the Provenance Lemonade and Penthouse Margarita - the provenance one was cute and a lavender color, and you can't go wrong with a margarita. I had wine but someone had coffee. The coffee came no sugar or cream. Had to flag a bus boy down. I asked for coffee during the meal, but not once did anyone ask if either of us wanted more coffee. So Im out here in Indiana visting my family and we decided to come check out this place. Upon entering they have beautiful Christmas decorations up. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful. We were seated right away. The waitress we had Jo'el was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We first started with the appetizers. Me and my dad had the crab cake. Now this was truely the biggest crab cake i've ever had. It was so delicious. We also had the Lobster Bisque soup. It had no meat in it. I was not a fan. For the entrees I had the full rack of ribs and my dad had the pan seared salmon. Both we very good. The ribs were so tender and juicy. And that sauce. . .just delicious! I write this review while seated waiting for our salads. Yes, our experience is worthy of starting a review before the food arrives. This restaurant is very clean. Props! So many are not. OMG the music! 1950s and oldies upbeat music playing or should I say blaring on the speakers. Holy Lord in heaven. They could use a lesson on how music sets the mood for an entire experience. Ginos gives a FREE glass of house wine when a customer checks in via Yelp. Our sever wasn't aware of this coupon. I ordered a moscato. Server asked if I wanted red or white. I didn't know moscato came in red. Perplexing is the large bottle of San Pellegrino on the table. We were never offered to have the bottle opened. The little candle on the table was not lit but was lit on a few vacant tables. The menu is extensive and pricey. Plenty of delicious options. I went with the crab cake which was quite large, moist, spicy and delicious. I also had a side salad with poppyseed dressing, which is a rare find in most restaurants. We went to dinner here last night to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. We both ordered margaritas. Our server brought them and we both tasted them and couldn't taste any liquor in them. We are both in our 70s and have had many margaritas in our lifetime. We brought it to our servers attention and asked him about it. He brought us a shot of tequila to add to it. I was surprised when I got the check that they charged us full price for the margaritas plus another charge for the shot of tequila, nine dollars for each of the margaritas and eight dollars for the shot of tequila. we have never had to complain about the taste of margaritas before. My sister treated me to a birthday dinner here and it was my first time at this restaurant. It was an absolute treat! I ordered the porterhouse steak and it was probably the most tender steak I've eaten. It may seem like an exaggeration, but, I mean, the meat just melted like butter in my mouth and it was so flavorful. The onions and mushrooms added that extra bit of flavor as it does with most steaks. And the twice baked potato was good too. But the reason I decided to write this particular post is because of the phenomenal server we had. Her name is Casey (not sure of the correct spelling) and she was awesome! Pulled off highway on way back home to Indy, for dinner. Ordered 16 oz ribeye. Waitress recommended I should order it bone-in. When we got our food, wife's food was perfect. Then we tried mine, It was tough, and was hard to even cut it. After trying to chew a piece we got off, I had to spit it out because I couldn't get it broken down enough to swallow. I spit it out under napkin on bread plate. When waitress came by and saw I pushed it away from me, and sharing my wife's meal, she took it away, and said "sorry". The icing on cake, was when we got the bill, the steak was not the 16 oz, but was charged for 24 oz. Thought when I said 16 oz, I would have received that. So for salad, bread, and potato, I PAIDED over $60 with tax. I thought waitress would have least have someone from management come over. Told her we weren't trying to get something free.
