When I say that Darrell literally hustles around, I'm being literal. This guy is friendly! He's polite! He can hold a genuine conversation. Giordano's is lucky to have him on staff, and I was lucky to have him around for my dinner tonight. When he's gets busy, he literally jogs to help patrons. He's always saying, thank you, and politely adds in a 'Sir,' here and there, he's checked my drink like a half dozen times, checked my salad three times, maybe more, Checked in as he brought out my dinner, served my a few slices himself, and he drew a smiley face on my receipt so- that was kind of him. Plus his bar section is immaculate. I can see myself in the reflection, all the glassware is crystal clear, the counters as all shined to a polish, and just now another employee waved at me randomly. I can also through in the Baylee is a Diamond, and chatted with me after she was clocked out, which was super friendly. I really like the atmosphere her. Came here tonight with a friend of mine who recommended this spot. I have driven by it a few times. My friend has been raving about this place for awhile. When we got in, we stood there for a bit and finally the person that sat us was also our waiter. They have been shorthanded without a host. Our waiter was attentive and on point. Since I had not been there before, our waiter was informative and also gave us a baseline wait time on the deep dish. He said it was cooked from scratch which most places do not do to save money. We ordered the special which was sausage, mushroom and green pepper. It comes with onion which I would have liked but, but my friend can't have them. We were told a 45 minute cook time but ended up only being 25 minutes. The pie came out hot. I'm thankful we got only a small size. I couldn't imagine a large. The slice that I had was filling of course. The middle is layered like lasagna. The toppings were evenly distributed which was great. Sometimes one item will over power the taste. The sauce saw excellent. The crust, when you eventually made it to the end, was nice and a flaky crust. I had 3 slices! The restaurant was well lit and had some nice tvs that had the football games on. Good pizza, great service, and a quiet clean place. Great dinner! read more

Wow! My boyfriend surprised me with a pick-up Deep Dish Cheese/Pepperoni and Garlic [Large] from Giordano's one afternoon. What inspired this? We recently had a Chicago Pizzeria open up in the Northwest Las Vegas, called the Chicago Guys. I had a deep dish pizza from that location several weeks ago, and was craving.. another deep dish! I ran into one of my work colleagues down at the Bally's casino, Monday night, and he had a Giordano's deep dish, in his hand. My boyfriend had scheduled the pick-up after his hair appointment. When he had arrived, 15 minutes earlier than originally intended, his order was already ready, to his surprise! He paid $34.00 for a [large] - Cheese/Pepperoni and Garlic deep dish. It was not presliced. We sliced up the pizza at the house. Super yummy! The dough was nice and flaky. The garlic was cut fresh, which was refreshing to see! The sauce had a nice texture, not too zesty and was a decent amount on the pizza. The Pizza was layered, Dough, Pepperoni, Cheese and then Sauce. Great combination! The pizza warmed up perfectly in the oven! I would highly recommend Giordano's for a deep dish pizza in Las Vegas! It's just slightly expensive. read more

Ahh how the mighty have fallen. Called in for delivery and guess what? No delivery on a Sunday at 7:30 This went from an amazing place to get a deep dish to a nightmare scenario. The past 2 times I've ordered I have received the wrong pizza. The young man who answers the phone is not qualified to tie his own shoes let alone get a food order correct. Although my spouse still craves the food here I choose anywhere else for an option. It's a shame to see what was a great place 5 years ago fall to an absolute hole. My first ever trip to Giordano's was the strip location when I was a tourist years ago, so it only made sense to visit this West side location as a local for a second go-around. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was still pretty empty. We were seated right away and had terrific service the entire visit. We were here for two reasons and that was to try the deep dish pizza as well as see what the regular pizza was like, so of course my girlfriend and I ordered 3 pizzas (what else were we supposed to do?). We each ordered our own pizza as well as split the deep dish and since I didn't try hers, I'm only going to review the two that I did indulge in. I ordered the special thin crust pizza which had sausage, green peppers, onion, mushrooms, and of course cheese on it. Let me tell you, I did not expect to love this pizza nearly as much as I did. Thin? Yes, it was on the thin side, but it still had some substance to the dough and I absolutely loved this pizza. The deep dish came out a little later (They generally take about 45 minutes to make, so be ready for that). I have eaten deep dish pizza roughly three times in my life (twice in Chicago) and never really loved it.....UNTIL THIS TIME!! Let me tell you, Giordano's isn't just a name, it's the real deal. The deep dish pizza was absolutely amazing. The sauce was delicious, the cheese was fantastic, and the dough was crispy enough that you could actually pick a slice up and take a bite out of it, which is the first time I was actually able to do that when eating a deep dish pizza. Overall, Giordano's gets five stars for incredible food, wonderful service, and a great restaurant to enjoy both of them in. I absolutely loved the thin crust pizza and feel even stronger about the deep dish pizza. I was pleased that they offer individual deep dish pizza (YESSSS) because my husband only likes thin and I wanted deep dish. So he got his own little thin pizza with his caveman meat woman meat! toppings. I got my plain old cheese and black olive deep dish and I am a happy woman. There is nothing better than a long anticipation for the Chicago deep dish to come out. Even the way the server presented it (cut a big slice, serve the slice up in the air with a long trail of cheeeeessse) and the stringy mozzarella goodness begins! No one was working or even watching the front door and we stood there for a couple minutes before someone came over to seat us. They were out of Sam Adams draft beer and bottled Guinness (Michale was SOL). My beer of choice today was Stella, which I was able to enjoy. Food over was good but we had a party of 9 and went to check out as soon as I hit 18% tip for the server which I thought was generous considering he wasn't a very good server and took forever (we had appetizers come out with our dinner and after our dinner. He even forgot a pizza) the server changed my tip to 20% and said it was mandatory because we were a large party. I told him no where does it say that and gratuity wasn't added to our bill so it was my choice and his reply was "I can get my manger it's mandatory 20%" as he closed out my bill for me at 20%!! I've been wanting to try out this place for a while. Finally finding I was in the area my family and I decided to try it out. Elisha our server was the perfect example of what a server should be friendly and engaging also there when we needed something. Nowadays with lots of places being short staffed service has suffered because of it. So it was really refreshing to have Elisha tend to us. The appetizers were delicious the Calamari was tender and the sampler platter we had a little taste of what each item was like for future reference. Both medium pizzas were deep dish because hey that's what they are famous for and they were delicious the Meat and more was my favorite the sweetness and fennel taste really did it for me. Expectations were high when we tried Giordano's, and overall it was sort of "OK." The place was minimally crowded, and there was no one at the reception desk. We waited five minutes or so before someone walked up to greet us and seat us. We knew from previous reviews that the deep dish pizza takes a while, so we ordered the appetizer sampler to start. Apparently everything takes a while here, though, as it was a good 15 minutes before we received the starter. It was solidly "OK." Nothing spectacular but decent. The bruschetta was probably the highlight with the tomato topping kept separate for you to add yourself to your liking. Eventually the pizza and spaghetti with meat sauce arrived. The pizza certainly looked inviting, and the waiter made a nice presentation of slicing the first piece displaying the gooey cheese. It was very "OK." The crust was fairly bland. The whole pizza was overall fairly bland. Plenty of cheese and sauce but honestly not a lot of taste. The pasta was similar as well. The pasta was cooked beyond "al dente" and the sauce was rather bland. Overall "OK" again. Finally the tiramisu. Not too many points for presentation, but overall a fairly good taste with pleasant coffee flavor. Nothing amazing but again "OK." So, overall a very "OK" experience with nothing that set this place apart from any other pizza/Italian restaurant. read more
