Decided to try them at lunch on the weekend. we were greeted and seated fairly quickly. Server, TJ, looked to be running part of the kitchen and all of the front of the house when we arrived. He was running and doing his best to make sure all the tables were taken care of with refills, orders. etc, We did a make your own deep dish for our order and was told it would be 30-40 mins for the pizza. Time went fairly quickly for the pizza to come out. Pizza was hot, he did the cheese pull for photos for the first slice as her served it and them was off and running to cover other tables, One of the best Chicago Style pizza's I have had in a long time. Crust and pizza were well cooked and was. it greasy like other brands tend to be. Looking forward to going back and hope TJ has some help with staffing on the next trip. read more

Pizza used to be great, just like back home. Go into today and pay $31 for a medium pepperoni. No problem the pizza is great and it's the only ticket in town for this item. Get home and bite into it and immediately get back in the car to bring it back because I thought it wasn't cooked enough. Call in and let Jessica know that I'm coming back for a refund or new pizza. She's nice enough and gets another pizza started for me. It comes out, she opens the box, looks well done. Good to go? Noooooo! When I get home and bite into it THE SAME!!!! Straight nasty and nothing like it used to be! The cheese they are using is not the same and you can totally tell. Received excellent customer service over the phone had delivery to my uncles house but I think they forgot the pepperoni but charged me for it but that's OK had a deep dish with pepperoni and sausage and of course the pepperoni was missing and also ordered a thin garlic olive oil, with sausage and black olives It was very good. Asked about that menu, only can receive happy hour if you're at the bar (maybe it's a thing cause of COVID, we were sure but wasn't complaining about it--took it as a sign not to have happy hour that day LOL). The best part, the Chicago style deep dish pizza. It's 45 minute wait, BUT IT IS WORTH THE WAIT & mind you, I do not love pizza. I rarely every eat pizza. But this pizza was a different experience that made me actually like pizza. It's not too greasy, actually not at all greasy. It's crust or breading was soft yet crunch. The cheese... the cheese pull was real. Everything was so well put together it didn't come apart when you bit into it. They even do a cheese pull for you for your satisfaction if you're into cheese pulls. I was here in the Summerlin area for work and I had noticed that there was a Giordano's location in town. Since I'm a huge deep dish pizza fan and never actually had Giordano's when I was in Chicago I really wanted to give it a try. I had placed my order online. I was told that my food to be ready in about 30 minutes. And I guess the thing with these pizzas being so hefty that sometimes it does take a while to cook. So I had to wait another 15 minutes when it's I got to the store for it to be fully done. The restaurant itself looked pretty busy. There is a front entrance that it went in first but was told there's a side to go entrance. I ordered the meat deep dish pizza and it was a wonderful and it's a bummer that here in LA we don't have any decent deep dish restaurants. The next time I'm in town I will definitely stop in and order another pizza. There's plenty of parking around the restaurant. There's also a few other places in the plaza to go shop and visit if you need to. read more

The cheese go for miles and the outer crust has that nice crunch. I had the special today. It consists of a deep dish with sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and onions. When we get pizza, this is one of our go to Spots. A family favorite! We went for our sons birthday and had a waitress that typically helps Us. She took great care of us and our team of boys! She kept our drinks full and checked on us often. As the kids were getting restless she would come and let them know it was only a few more moments. The food was delicious and all we all enjoyed it. I placed an online order today at 545pm in which the system told me it would be ready by 645pm. I showed up on time and arrive to the togo section. There was a man who helped and couldn't find our order and realizes they never started the order. Instead of admitting their error in forgetting, they told us that the pizza was still in the oven and had us wait. 45 minutes later we're still waiting and ask him how much longer and he says 20 minutes. Mind you it's been 2 hours now that we've waited. At this point we're upset and disappointed and wished he just told us the truth that they forgot our order so we can come back 1 hour later, but instead we just sat there waiting. The best pizza in this country. This location is bette than the Strip location because it's far easier to visit and more fun. The shopping center has lots of free parking and this Giordano's has some craft beer selections, whereas the Strip location only has domestic draft beer. When you wait 40 minutes for perfection, you want good beer. The wifi is great here, whereas the Strip location has nothing and the concrete facade blocks the public signal. The employees are great at the Strip, but the folks at the Summerlin location were extra special, funny and had good custom recommendations. After your done with the feast, there's plenty of convenient shopping in the large outdoor center called Boca Park. It's all in the same parking lot. Since I've done a more detailed review on Giordano's already, this is focused on the merits of the Summerlin location. Unless you're already on the Strip, there's no reason to not go to the Summerlin location instead. The better draft beer selection, wifi, easy parking and better location set it apart. It's much easier to find if you have parties meeting at the restaurant as well. For full disclosure, I've also attended the original restaurant in Chicago. The Summerlin one is the most fun, the outdoor seating at the Strip location most unique, but Chicago feels the most traditional and warm. For those confused about leftovers, the pizza tastes equally good cold or warm. They also have thin crust pizza available to please everyone, but I've never seen anyone order it before at three different locations. read more

Every time​ my travels take me to Chicago, the two things I always do for fun are go to the Art Institute and eat deep dish pizza. Actually, my priorities​ are in the opposite order, but if I do nothing but just these two things, I'm happy. Giordano​ has always been one of my stops​ during my Chicago stuffed pizza-eating​ treks It's an institution! Luckily, there are other locations now outside of Illinois, like the two that now are in Las Vegas. I prefer the more local feel at this location, as opposed to the typically jammed packed spot on the Strip. This Charleston location is huge, so there's plenty of space for social distancing. The service​ was good. As much as I enjoy a classic New York slice, I'll never pass up a classic Chicago deep dish. Never. Ever. I always end up getting cheese, spinach,​ and mushroom wherever I go, but the so-called "stuffed pizza" spots in the SF Bay Area tend to fall flat. Oh well. The ones here are so much better. They're generously stuffed and the spinach and mushrooms don't water up the filling inside a bit. We also got a ​plain cheese, which was fine, but boring. Stuffed pizzas are pure bliss for me, but they are super cheesy rich and filling. A bunch of us once had 8 different kinds of deep-dish​ pies in Chicago for dinner and I had hours of studying and preparing to do later that night for an important workday​. Instead, I fell asleep totally stuffed. Not good. Consider yourself warned. Bring your crew whenever you have stuffed pizza! The more the merrier. This way, you can try more than one pizza and won't end up eating it all yourself. If you're dreaming of a solid deep dish pie, I wouldn't hesitate to come​ here.
