I use to work for this company. This was probably the worst service I've ever experienced. We had a party of 15. It took 2 hour's for our food. The only pizza that was hot was the thin crust cheese the other 2 stuffed pizzas were cold. Also we had to cancel a pizza because it wasn't ready with the other 3. This place is more horrible than I thought. Have them serval chances and this last and final time is it. Ordered a medium deep dish and onion pizza for delivery at 12:15 gets here at 2 cool whatever I know it takes them a lifetime to make pizza. But it gets here and looks like my 3 year old son made it called in right after I opened the box and the manger is horrible he wants to send me another pizza that's going to another Hr to get to my house I tell him I don't wanna anther pizza what else can he do. He says he can't do anything but 10% off like this is a joke I don't want anything free but 10% after waiting two hours for a pizza that's not even hot or warm come on now. I was excited to try this restaurant as it was my first time eating there. The spaghetti was so bland and the waitress rarely came to our table. We ended up having half of the order canceled. I grew up on the north side and I know what this franchise should taste like. With that being said I have visited this location 3 times. My first visit I spent over $127.00 and the pizza taste like cardboard box the cheese was NOT smooth and the crust was not buttery. My second visit the oven was not working properly and we order salad instead. My third visit it was a party of 18 and the waitress Letra did her best to accommodate us. Because our food was not right. I called and emailed corporate, but never received a response. I grew up on Giordanos and even worked for them during the taste of Chicago. Ordered a veggie deep dish pizza (and other food) on Saturday 8/31/19. Within one hour of ingesting the veggie pizza ONLY the individuals that ate the veggie pizza were vomiting into Sunday morning, had the chills and suffered from food poisoning like symptoms. Once able to function again, I called the location and spoke to a location manager who had no real response except that he would report this to the district/general manager. Well its two days later and I did not receive a call to confirm they have addressed the potential BAD food public health concern that I expressed, so I felt the need to tell others to be weary of ordering food from this location. Not only did we get sick but they also failed to follow up on a report of sickness from their food. Bad customer service and very long wait times. Even calling ahead for a pickup you'll be on hold for what seems like an eternity and you have to wait at least an hour and a half for food to be ready. Again the service was horrible, employees doing nothing standing there watching as the pick up counter started to pile up with people. This time I didn't have to wait 2 o hrs for pizza only 1.5 hrs this time, however once again it was cold and the pizza was so poorly made. The staple used to be the big deep crust and loads of cheese. Cust: flat cheese: about half of what's normally on one of their pizzas. I'm sure these locations are franchised so this owner needs to have words with his staff, or corporate needs to step in. Absolute worst Giordanos experience ever. Ordered a thin crust to come out first for the kids while the adults waited for deep dish and entrée. Alfredo came out 15 minutes before the thin crust, and the deep dish came out 45 minutes after the thin crust. This was our first time patronizing the new Giordano's in Matteson. We waited 10 mins for our server who came to our table to tell us he was getting off work and would get someone else to wait on us. About ten minutes later a young gal finally comes to our table. She takes our order. She returns 10 mins later to ask us again what we ordered! She told us it would take 45 mins for the pizza. The pizza and salad were good, but the service was horrible. Observing the wait staff was interesting. There were several persons just standing around doing nothing. Others showed by their demeanor that they were not happy working. Another was angry that a large party was coming and very loudly moved chairs around for the table. So loud, that most of us looked to see what the commotion was about. A bus boy came to our table and asked if he could take our dirty plates. We asked him to bring us a box for our leftovers. We are still waiting for him to come back. Finally we get the bill, but the waitress didn't come back. We ended up having to go to the front to pay. There we were told to WAIT for our waitress because she had to ring us out. Going forward we might just get a pizza to go IF we every come back. read more

Mom brought me home two slices of giordanos stuffed sausage and cheese pizza. I don't know what was wrong with it. I tried a bite of both pieces expecting maybe one tasted better than the other for whatever reason. I feel bad because I literally threw both full slices in the trash!! The pizza itself is tasteless which is inexcusable for the times they make you wait for it If you want real Chicago style deep dish or thin crust pizza. Go to Gino's east or Aurelio's. Preordered a couple pizzas for a change of pace on a road trip. The deep dish chicken sausage deluxe was delicious and filling. My boys loved the deep dish cheese pizza and almost finished it. Our waitress Nikki was excellent and gave great advice to cut up the pizza as it was super thick! The only constructive criticism I can give is the garlic cheese bread was a little heavy on the garlic butter. This is probably the worst giordanos I've ever been to. The sauce given with the cheesy garlic bread tasted like vomit. I swear it burned on the way down. Threw it aside. The pop is watered down. They could do a much better job at this location, but since I have been visiting them not much has changed. I have experienced "help" from slow and unconcerned waitstaff. I have had problems placing online orders and have been informed that this location would no longer deliver to my address, because "It has been taking too long for deliveries." We were driving through and phones in our reservation for 6 and pizza order. When we arrived the hostess seated us right away and was friendly and helpful. The table next to us was a large birthday party and just after being seated the staff came out to sing, "Happy Birthday"! It was good fun to get in our the cheering and singing. Our waitress was on it and got us drinks, appetizers, and let us know when our pizza was close to coming out. I like Giordano's pizza and took my son and granddaughter for pizza tonight. The Matteson location was not crowded and at first our waitress was friendly and attentive. We waited for quite some time for our pizza, it was a good thing we ordered appetizers. By the time we got our pizza it was barely warm, which means it sat in the kitchen for awhile. She turned into a turtle to get our box for take home and just as long to get our check. I did leave a small tip only because she was pleasant but could have gotten more if she had provided better customer service. read more

Used to love Giordano's and ordered regularly, but Matt the manager, just lost this location a customer with his dismissive response to an inquiry. I ordered a pizza online for delivery. The quoted delivery time was 2:33 - 2:43. I called at 3 pm to inquire and was told the delivery driver was dispatched at 2:21 and he was still within the delivery window although beyond the quoted time. Not sure how many deliveries he had, but I didn't get mine until 3:10. When it arrived the pizza was lukewarm, looked and tasted like it had been left in the oven too long. Matt couldn't care less about my issues. Lesson learned. I will not patronize this place again. read more

Every time a person that lives out of state comes to visit us , they want Giordanos pizza. We ordered a large deep dish pizza Friday and it was ready when promised for pick up.
