Giordano's holds a special place for me as it was the first deep dish pie I had years ago during my first visit to Chicago, so when I was staying in nearby Lombard for a few nights, I had to seek out a deep dish pie and was pleasantly surprised to see this Giordano's location! While I have sampled and tried many iterations of the deep dish pizza over the years, Giordano's is the classic...maybe not the best, but definitely the most classic of deep dish pizzas in my opinion. For this visit, I bellied up to the bar, grabbed a signature cocktail and went all in for my dinner. I started with an order of the cheese bread and followed up with a personal pepperoni deep dish. The cocktail, Windy City Punch, was okay. Nothing special, but it hit the spot and was a solid drink to wash down the pizza with. Food wise, the deep dish was great. Personal pizza was a tad smaller than expected, but it was just enough. The pizza itself was tasty, just what I was after! While the pie was good, the cheese bread was disappointing. First, they either gave me the wrong bread, forgot the cheese or need to rebrand the dish. It was lacking cheese and was pretty lackluster for a starter. Service was okay at the bar. The bartender was friendly and helpful, but was also doubling as a waitress on the floor, so she was not around most of my meal. Overall, decent visit to Giordano's. Always nice to get a deep dish when in the Chicagoland area!

First time at this location with my wife and sister! We were seated immediately and our order was taken shortly after. The restaurant has a nice reddish ambiance. We ordered the following items: - Deep Dish Pizza ( Half Cheese/Half Veggies) - Calamari - Cheesy Garlic Bread - Root Beer Float The calamari is not that good would not recommend, the cheesy garlic bread was ok, Root beer float was good, and last but the least the deep dish pizza which was good.

We came on a Saturday evening. yes it was a little busy, but there was no wait when we walked in. It took a while for anybody to notice us waiting to be seated. Finally, soneone did and seated us. It took a while for a server to come to the table. We ordered the Sampler, the cheese bread was not good - The chicken nuggets tasted like frozen - the mozzarella Square was not bad. Their version of Buscetta is a joke. The server didn't have any silverware napkins for us so we had to get The manager to give them us. Then we ordered the thin crust pizza. It was OK we've had better. the service was not great.. He took the order and Drop the food off, then gave us our check and that was it He never checked on us. so unfortunately, we will not be back.

After living in Chicago for 45 years, decided to give them a shot. The traditional thin is too much dough IMO. Got a 12" pepperoni. Certainly not loaded with toppings. I should have asked for well done as I like the cheese blistered. Took half home so can torch it for leftovers. Service was a tag team. I must have come at shift change. Hostesses were helping out. I thought it was good but have other favorites.

Yep. Solid. Fits the cliche perfectly. Win win win. Ordered for take out. 1000% good.

I believe it's the manager for the Oak Brook restaurant. My son was minding his business cutting up his straw paper and he came up to him and wanted the paper from him because he didn't want him to drop it on the floor cause it would've made a lot of mess for them to clean up very rude. My son is on a spectrum. Don't think you should go up to anybody's kids and ask them from anything I came to this restaurant to have dinner with my son. By the way, he's 10 years old restaurant is filthy. Will not be coming back here.

Have been waiting to come back to Chicago to taste the buttery goodness of deep dish pizza. And of course, Giordano's is a staple. We ordered a cheese and a pepperoni. The cheese was ok but the pepperoni definitely packed more flavor. The crust was a bit drier than what I remember but was still good. Unfortunately, the service was not great. Our waitress was not so friendly and got a bit snippy when we asked for ranch dressing to accompany the pizza.

We are in from out of town and had to try this pizza! The double crust is similar to pie crust, and is amazing! I don't want to know how much cheese I ate in one slice, but it was worth it!!

Delicious Chicago style pizza can be had here. That buttery crust and good quality cheese will have you coming back time and time again. I was surprised at how tasty their salads were too. The personal pizza might seem small initially but this thing is like a casserole and you keep eating, and eating, and it doesn't seem to get any smaller. Left about a quarter of it because I just couldn't finish it as much as I wanted to. There's a reason why it's so popular, definitely worth a try.

The tomato sauce was flavorful, and the shaved Parmesan and arugula complemented the dish beautifully. Unfortunately, the arancini themselves were disappointing, as the coating was much too thick compared to the small amount of rice filling inside. For our entrées, my husband ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken was unfortunately very dry and overly salted. I chose the pappardelle with short rib ragù. The fresh pasta was excellent--perfectly made with a wonderful texture--but the ragù was also overly salted, which overshadowed what could have been a great dish. One of the highlights of our evening was the service. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The hostess, who may have been the owner, also stopped by our table to check on us, which we appreciated. Overall, this certainly wasn't the worst Italian restaurant we've visited, and there were several things we enjoyed. However, the entrées ultimately fell short of our expectations, especially for a special dinner.

The outside was quite hard, and I do wish I knew all four cheeses were in it. The pasta we had was fabulous. My husband ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara. I had a bite, and the cream sauce in that was absolutely delicious. I went out on a limb and ordered something I normally wouldn't, and got the Truffle Fondue Cappellacci. Which is a folded pasta, almost like a ravioli. But I would have to say better. It had a black truffle brown butter sauce on it and I was wondering if it may be a little too sweet, but the aged balsamic was perfect enough to cut through it. And the toasted pistachios on top gave it a slight crunch. The dish was perfect! Just perfect. I ate the whole thing except for one piece of pasta. Who doesn't love fresh pasta, especially when done right & great flavors! Wow. We will be back. We ordered desert to go, so I didn't get any pics but that was probably the best tiramisu I've ever had. I have never had a tiramisu with orange mascarpone in it, but that was something else!!

The price point was on the high side for us but not out-of-reach. We arrived and was immediately sat in the bar; in fact, everyone is sat in the bar. The dining room has about twenty tables, and they were two tables being used; the bar also had about twenty tables and every table was sat. I asked the waiter and they do sit the bar area first and overflow into the dining room. With the bar area at near capacity and all hard surfaces it was very loud. The dining room had carpet floor and a coffered beamed ceiling it was tremendously quiet. If you want the energy of a crowded restaurant the bar is great, the dinning rom is a more upscale experience.  We started with Calamari Friiti, that is the title of the dish. In smaller print the description is Crispy Fried Calamari, Zucchini,  and herbs. What was served was 70% NOT Calamari but thin fried zucchini strips, fried rosemary (literally the twig of rosemary in batter and fried), and fried thyme (the thyme was removed from the twig so I could not even find it., but the waiter said it was there. At $19  expected more Calamari at least 60%, after all the dish was not called "fried herbs and Calamari". Our table had Spaghetti and Meatballs at $24, the Stuffed Pork Chop special (with Broccoli Rabe) at $27, and I had the Eggplant Parmigiana at $20. I get eggplant Parmesan a lot, it is my favorite Italian dish. $20 is high for eggplant Parmesan, I prefer my eggplant thinly sliced and fried. This is more three eggplant steaks with cheese and red gravy. Not my personal favorite but good. The pasta was so unusual I had to ask about it; the waiter said it is made from scratch in house but the shape in an Italian grocery store would be casarecce. I thought $24 for Spaghetti and Meatballs high but my husband said the Meatballs were excellent. Finally, $27 for one Stuffed Pork Chop also seemed high but it tasted great, the garlic white wine sauce made a tasty glaze. We ordered Tiramisu for the table and one person got the blueberry sorbet. I found the Tiramisu traditional and another person thought the mascarpone cheese was whipped too much. I read a several reviews, most of the reviewers praised the service as outstanding; we found our server disappearing for 30 - 40 minutes; we had to call someone over to order desert and another to get the check.

Spoke quickly. We asked for a menu, water, silverware & napkins. At almost 30 minutes, we finally ordered our entrees. I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo, and my husband ordered Arrabbiata Sauce w/spaghetti which came with a small side salad or soup. I chose soup, and my husband had a side salad.
