I don't normally write reviews but... this was a nice find. We're from California and chose this place based off the previous reviews, figured - what the heck. Glad we gave it a chance. Pizza was delicious and our server was so helpful with our order. We also gor the Spinach salad which was pretty tasty as well. The hostess and lady behind the cashier which I took as the owner were extremely friendly and nice. I spoke with them for a bit and I am glad I did. During our conversation a male - I imagine husband/father - joined the conversation. They were super nice and he joked with me enough about our conversation to make me smile. What a hidden gem! My two sons and I went here for some good pizza for the boys and they did not disappoint! My oldest looooves pizza so he's always getting pizza and said this is by far his favorite pizza of all time! It honestly reminded me of pizza from Italy! The wings were to die for and my youngest loved for them! Not only great food but the owners were just sweethearts! Married 50 years this year and successfully running this business for 14 years now. Food is great mostly but one time I think the cook spit in my food , then another time I called in a order and they wouldn't t place it without my credit card card : I have ordered in the past by calling in and never had a issue now they all a sudden want a cc over the phone but aren't equipped to just pay online . The gyro was one of the best I've had. The calzone was exceptional as well. The hummus and pita were sub par. The dining area was spacious and friendly. The owners were attentive and engaging and interested in my input. I stopped here to specifically try their falafel, which they no longer serve. Overall a good dining experience. Oh my goodness! We went here tonight....it was fabulous! Table of four, we each had an individual meal - gyro, pasta, calzone and meatball sub - they were all very, very good. Had mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and the sauce was so good I drank it after the cheese sticks were gone! :-) Will definitely come back and as a matter of fact, will make this one of our regular haunts! I always go on lunch and I don't have any complains. The owners are some really good people and always try to make you feel like you are at home. The Cuban sandwich is amazing, the calzone is huge! Two can easily eat from it. Never had a problem even when the place is packed. However, sometimes the servers are not aware of their tables, but that happened a while ago. It is cash only, but it is a pretty good place to eat a New York style pizza to a Cuban sandwich in the Phenix City/Columbus area. read more

Great food, great and friendly atmosphere. We take the whole family any chance we get. I have not had anything bad here yet and have been going for 3 years. The kids love their pizza and my husband and I get the gyros, salad, or Cuban. EVERYONE gets cannolis! If they are busy you will probably wait a bit for food but it's worth it. I actually give this place zero stars because they made it too difficult to place a take order. I tried to call and place a take out order for two small pizzas. This was my first experience to ever try their pizza. The lady who answered phone took my order and then insisted that I give her a credit card number because my order was over $10.00. I never give my credit card number over the phone as I explained to the her. I order take out very frequently every week from all kinds of restaurants and never have to secure my order with a credit card number. The lady on the phone didn't seem to care that I was a first time customer and offered no true customer service. I was very disappointed by my treatment there last night. I had made a reservation for 12 for the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding. We arrived a little early, and I explained that the party had grown by 4 people. The woman up front started saying I should have paid a deposit and I would have had to speak to the owner. I told her I did speak to him. She thought I was talking about the little room they have for private parties, but I told her no, we were just going to sit in the restaurant and order off the menu (They charge $75 per hour, plus $10 per head, cash only, for the room and you get spaghetti and meatballs, salad, and garlic bread...overpriced for that if you ask me). She seemed much more interested in proving her point than in being helpful. I got on my phone and called Ezell's in Columbus, asked if I came with 15 friends would there be a problem. I was told no, so needless to say we left and went to Ezell's. Giovanna's lost a tab over $200 last night, and their server a $50 tip. More importantly, they lost my respect. I do understand that adding people can create a problem, but this was supposed to be a joyous occasion. An extra table should not have been that big of a deal, and at Ezell's, it wasn't. read more

I have had pizza pretty much all over Columbus and have been disappointed. However, I found this place by accident driving down the road. I would have to say this is probably the best pizza I have had in a long time. Definitely worth the the drive out to P.C. In order get a good pie. read more

This place is amazing! Everything is cooked fresh to order, so you might have to wait 20 to 30 minutes depending on how busy they are, but it is well worth it. I highly recommend this place!! read more

Went to this place for the first time today and will definitely be back again, and then again, and again, and again. We ordered hummus and pita for an appetizer and everything was still nice and warm and absolutely DELICIOUS. A friend of mine ordered a gyro, her son got the cheese pizza, and I got the falafel wrap. Despite my first experience, I went back. As a NJ girl that grew up eating cheesesteaks, I'm a glutton for punishment as I know I'm not going to get a real cheesesteak down here. I was not wrong. Steak umms for $7 with american cheese on a 9 inch roll is not a cheesesteak. I bought a calzone for my husband. When I seen the pizza box it came in, I was slightly excited as calzones up north are huge. I opened the box and say that it was very petite. Long, but thin and narrow. Not like home. It was also very light in color as if not cooked all the way. My husband ate a piece and told me "don't bring that back in this house....ever". The rest sat in the fridge until I threw it away. That's how I know it wasn't good. He would have usually drowned it in hot sauce and finished it another day, just to not waste money. This one, went to the trash. So....still not impressed. If you are not familiar with a real 12-18 cheesesteak for $5-$7 with all the fixings, you might like it. If your looking for home quality food, keep looking. On another note, a guy was eating a gyro and it looked decent. Might give them one more try....one day. read more

Hidden ethnic gem at the extreme eastern edge of the central time zone and deep in the heart of the deep south. Great oasis for Italian (and also Cuban/German) food fans. The owners are very nice people - at least one is from Queens (NY). The chicken parm. and the Cuban sandwich were outstanding and up there with the best I've had anywhere. From the looks of the surrounding tables, the place is busy with satiatied customers and the calzones and other Italian dishes look very good and generous. Did not try the signature pizza or German cuisine, but I am willing to bet that it is all excellent (The sauce and melted cheeses used were top notch and oh so flavorful). The only downsides are that the pasta is precooked (not to order) therefore not al dente and the grated cheese comes out of a container (prepackaged) which is not consistent with the rest of the high quality food. Overcooked pasta, after all, has been known to make dedicated Italian cooks throw pots of hot water down the stairs in a fit of rage and frustration. I would love to try this place again and then again to explore more of these delightful food options. If they obtained a liquor license, this place would take off like a rocket. Would consider upgrading this rating upon a subsequent visit. Very reasonable and comfy seating. read more

I visited this place with my family (niece, brother, mom and myself) for lunch on Friday, August 15. We got there at 12:00 and placed our order. Around 20-25 mins later the cook comes to our table to let us know they were out of bratwursts sausages. Letting me know then that they just started cooking our food. So I asked the cook how long would it be for them to have our food out, his response was "we are not a fast food restaurant!". Very rude! We didn't get our food until like 12:45 and had to be back at work at 1:00. They were not apologetic or even tried to explain why it took so long to bring our food or anything. I watched several customers come in after we did and get their food before we received ours. My first time eating here and my last time. Service SUCKED! read more

BEST RESTAURANT IN PHENIX CITY!!! 3 and a half years and we waited this long to finally go here!!!! What a mistake! First off, I was born in Philly and my most of my family still lives there. This food is off the chart. We ordered a little of everything to try out and nothing disappointed. My son had a Gyro, which we all tried and it was great. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and it was just like Philly. My wife took a few bites of it and loved it too. We also ordered the Sausage Calzone just to see what everyone was raving about, and it was phenomenal! The Calzone was huge and packed full of sausage! My daughter had a the pizza sub and it was pretty good. The hummus and pita was just ok, that would be my only complaint about the food. The place is definitely a hole in, the interior could use some work, but if you are here for the view and not the food, then you have been reading the wrong reviews. If you are anywhere in the area and love some authentic northeastern food, then this is the place to eat. Don't be like us and wait 3 and a half years to try the best restaurant in Phenix City. read more

Warning, if you have a disability, STAY AWAY!!! They don't want you around. I stopped by for my first time yesterday, and tried a baclava. It was great, and the hostess was fantastic. She is the grand daughter of the owner, here for summer vacation from college. I decided to come back today with my family.BIG MISTAKE. My wife is short, and has a disability as a result of having Polio as a child. Unfortunately, all of the tables and chairs are extremely high, except for one table, which was occupied. They have a second dinning area with one long normal sized table, but I was told they ussualy used that for parties. When I explained about my wife(who was on her way to meet me), the hostess graciously accomodated her special needs, and allowed me to sit there. While she was getting me a drink, a man came out and rudely informed me that I could not.be in there, that they charge for that room. I started to leave, and the hostess asked what happened, and told me not to worry, she would talk to her grandpa. When she went to talk to him, a different lady came and rudely told me to get out of there. When the hostess returned, she hung her head in shame and appologised. Evudently grandpa could care less about the handicapped. If you or someone you know is handicapped, or even CARES about the handicapped, take your business elsewhere. read more
