Nice neighborhood pizza parlor. It has four booths and four small tables. The dining area is open to the counter. All drinks are bottled drinks, the menu is at the cash register but don't let that dissuade you. The staff is friendly and helpful. The meat lovers is great for meat lovers. Just moved to Texas and wanted to have pizza delivery to my home in Northlake area . Everything is new to my family so we gave Giovanni's a try! Got the 2 lg pizza deal and a Margherita cheese bread. 2 topping was good enough for the pickiest eaters. A meat and veg, can't go wrong.This was great food and the delivery was fast. My kids enjoyed it better than pizza branches we have been used to. The toppings were good and cheese was loaded on unlike the other guys. For less than $30 bucks we truly enjoyed the dinner time before our movie time! My kids want this place again as our usual pizza place! read more

I love their pizza, I always order the same thing and the pizza always comes out perfect. I prefer to pick up to maximize the freshness, it also gives me a chance to say hi to the staff. They are all super friendly and always willing to accommodate my needs. There is no where else in Argyle or Denton that I prefer to go. Pizza can be good at times and it can be mediocre at times. Delivery drivers always seem to get lost and pizza is warm at best. Ordered with mushrooms and delivered without. Seems like the owner lets the kids run the place and therefore not a lot of oversight. Still, when its good its good but wish it was not a crapshoot for quality. read more

Worst service ever. Received a coupon for free pizza in the mail and placed my order over the phone. Went into redeem the pizza only for the guy at the counter to tell me that my coupon had already been used by the same number (it hadn't) and that I would have to pay full price for the pizza (he couldn't tell me that over the phone when i placed to order or at least called me back). Then when I tried to pay for the pizza and just get out he refused to let me just pay for the pizza and forced me to listen to him explain. Do not go here. Edit: Contrary to the owners reply, I had never used said coupon before. He told me that my phone number was used but when I asked him to tell me my phone number he refused to. Great pizza, variety of desserts, and friendly staff, this is one of my favorite pizza restaurants. Pizza is always hot and cheesy, with abundance of toppings and a well made crust. Delivery times may vary depending on how busy they get, but usually a delivery will take about 30 to 40 minutes. Excited to order again next week! read more

I've been getting pizza from this place for years, back when there used to be a place called MVP Pizza (I think that was it) in the same spot. It's not the best pizza I ever had but it's decent and a convenient location. Over the past few years though the experience has gotten worse and I'm to the point where I'm just going to get my pizza elsewhere. The main problem is the service, until my last visit there was never anything too big just a lot of small little things. But this last time was enough to make up my mind that this place wasn't worth the hassle. Basically what happened was they messed up my order, gave me 2 pizzas that weren't the ones I ordered. I called back to see what I could do about switching them out with what I ordered and the response was very strange. Either they just didn't believe me or they had never had this happen before, which I find unlikely as I worked in the pizza business during high school and college and these things just happen all the time. Which was why I wasn't too put out by it. They were either very reluctant to believe me or to admit to it but they ended up getting the manager on the line who told me to give them 15 minutes and to come and get it. So I take the old pizzas back and they swap them out with pizzas that had the correct toppings but also happened to taste awful. I don't know if it was because they were suspicious about the mistake, were trying to offset the cost of making two more pizzas for no additional money, or just throwing it together as quickly as possible, but the results were two pizzas with little in the way of cheese or toppings. That's one of the better things about this place, their pizza is very gooey with lots of cheese and toppings but these were comparable to CiCi's pizza. All bread and sauce. They were so bad we decided then and there not to order there ever again. We actually wished we'd kept the first pizzas we'd gotten, they weren't what we ordered but they looked like much better pizzas and typical of the usual quality. We almost just ate them they looked so good but we figured we might as well get what we paid for. And by the way, I was surprised they didn't let us keep the other two. I brought them back because I figured they'd want to see (seeing as how they seemed so incredulous), but when I used to work in pizza parlors if you messed up somebody's order you just let them keep it and gave them what they did order. Especially if they had to drive all the way back up there to exchange it and eat an hour later than they planned. They're just going to throw it out anyway. I hope. At the time I didn't think much of it but when I got home with the nasty replacement pizza I wished I had said something. Anyway, they lost a long-time customer. read more

I've gotten delivery a couple of times and loved it. A little pricey, but good pizza.

WOW, what a difference. The first three to five times we had the meat lovers pizza and salad delivered it was excellent. We were so happy because we like it once a week or more. The last 6 times, however, the pizza has taken over an hour to get here been limp and room temperature at best. Last night, completely sealed the deal that no matter what, we will not order again from Giovannis. I had to throw out at least half of my lettuce because it was brown and used a whole paper towel to get the water off the lettuce leaves they were so wet. The pizza was cold, not room temperature, COLD. It took an hour and 10 minutes to get here. We can wait that long, they just need to keep it hot. What a disappointment. Glad Pizza Hut is building. We love our pizza, but this is ridiculous. read more

Giovanni's is the epitome of fresh and homemade pizza! Every time I order my two favorite pizzas, the all American and the Veggie, I am never disappointed. The atmosphere is lacking and could use some sprucing up but all in all this is my favorite pizza. Nothing beats homemade sauce, dough, and ranch dressing! We used to love eating at this place. We would always dine in and the manager was always terrific. Hot, flavorful pizza. I think they are now under new management? I don't see a lot of same people we used to. Last time we dined in it took 40 minutes to get our order and when it finally arrived at our table it was barely warm. Obviously someone sat it aside and forgot to bring it out. Very light on the toppings and a huge disappointment. We may try the Lewisville one eventually. read more

Wow! This place is really bad! I ordered a pizza a few months back and only about a fourth of the pizza had toppings. Swore never again but gave it a second chance. Second time around ordered a variety of stuff (no pizza though...yuck!). We wound up passing the Alfredo pasta around playing "what is that taste". After awhile we determined it was cream gravy!!! Also ordered what the menu called "parmgarlic wings". We assumed this meant parmesan garlic however there was no parmesan or garlic. Once again we played "pass it around, what in the world is this." We identified it as possible chicken wings with massive amounts of cumin and sage!!! Also ordered a few other things that I won't go in disguising detail about. Wound up throwing it all away and going out to eat. Also, as a side note, their online menu prices are not up to date. We were charged $1-2 per item more than what the menu stated! If I could give this place a zero I would. One word sums it up. HORRIBLE. Should have taken the fact that nobody was inside the place as a sign of things to come but I still decided to enter. What can I say I'm a sucker for punishment. Ordered the sampler trio and a pizza. No fountain drinks. Okay. That sucks but not the biggest deal. Sampler trio consisted of wings, cheese sticks, and stuffed mushrooms. All were baked in an oven. GARBAGE. Somehow they managed to burn the cheese sticks and not even fully cook the wings. I promise you the wings are nothing more then Tyson Wings you can get at a grocery store. I can make the same crap at my house. The mushrooms were average at best. Nothing to write home about. Now on to the pizza.I figured a pizza place has got to have some good pizza right. WRONG. Pizza sauce was ordinary and the pizza was burnt. I swear Digornio frozen pizza blows this place away. Last but not least the customer service sucked. Not once did anybody even ask us how we were doing or how the food was. Wanna know why? Cause they already know it's garbage.
