Giuseppe's is amazing, and from someone who lives next to New York City, that is saying something. The pizza is definitely the thing to order on the menu. Perfect ratios for everything. In particular, if you ask they'll sometimes make a pizza with penne a la vodka on top -- a bit pricier than normal, but it's completely worth it for how amazing it is. It's located right off the main road, with covered outdoor seating, and always has a nice atmosphere with lots of people eating (also, if you come here in the winter, a great place to go to warm up after doing any outdoors activities). The service is amazing, we've been friends with some of the chefs and waiters for years. Highly recommend going here if you want a cheap and fast meal option in Lake George Village. read more

While eating here I felt as though I was tranformed in to olden times where everyone had big estates and threw dinner parties. This restaurant is in what seems like an old house and the way the tables are set up makes you feel as though you are visiting the house for dinner, trust me when you go there you will understand what I am talking about- unless I'm crazy, which is always possible! The bread that they started us out with was delicious, nice and warm out of the oven. I love warm bread so much that sometimes I'm full from how much I eat of it before my food even arrives; I'm Italian, it's an issue! I was with a group of 8 and our service was pretty good, not great, but good enough. We all ordered meals that came with salad, they salads were of generous size and they had many dressings to choose from. I ordered the chicken franchese for my meal. It came with 4 big chicken breasts over linguini. It was very good, it had a different taste than franchese that I am used to- not as lemony but still good none the less. I could not even make it through half of the meal without feeling like I was going to explode. If I was home I would have taken the rest to go but sadly since I was away I did not want to risk stinking up our room with leftovers! Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal- some others ordered chicken parm, baked ravioli, steak, penne alla vodka with chicken- and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I tried my friends' garlic bread and that was delicious. It was a little high in price, with my entree coming in at $17, not too high, but high for what us young 20 somethings are used to eating. debated number of stars, do I compare to NYC / Long ISland restaurants or the restaurants in lake george...went with nyc scale. If I went with the lake george scale would get 5 stars. Only decent meal our entire week, was a ploeasant surprise. I had the seafood fra diavalo, was decent, sauce was ok, seafood fresh just a bit overcooked...overall ok. kids had pasta, alla vodka, also gave it ok review. cant go wrong at this place if visiting this area. read more

We had a hard time finding a sit down restaurant to eat at 9:45pm on a Sunday night. We happened to drive by this place and were relieved that they would seat us. As soon as we walked in the door I knew what I wanted to order because the smells from this restaurant were just amazing. They had just finished making some fresh calzones. Now, I normally dislike calzones because they tend to be too big for me to eat and have way too much dough for my taste, but these calzones were the best I have ever eaten! They were a perfect size, their dough was not too thick, or chewy, and was also baked perfectly. We got ours stuffed with pepperoni, sausage, and musrooms. The red sauce was served on the side, which I also loved. Super yummy!!! We also ordered the mozzarella and tomato with balsamic vinegar which was very tasty, and my 6 year old had a plain cheese pizza, also good. The service was friendly and accommodating. What a wonderful surprise this place turned out to be! We will definitely return the next time we are in the area. read more

Very friendly and accomadating to a larger party size!! Our waiter was great! We ordered pizza slices for our young daughters, he made sure they weren't warmed up too hot and even had them cut into pieces without us asking him to! My wife is from Long Island, and we've been in the Chicago area for almost 40 yrs. So... she misses NY pizza; the kind you can fold and the tip of the slice points straight down. We've tried many. We ordered their plain cheese and half pepperoni. She smiled, and thought is was very good. I thought it was excellent. The staff was very friendly. The pizza was delivered in about 10 minutes. Okay, to be sure we are clear, the Lake George crowd is not Martha Vineyard's crowd. We saw more tattoos here than at a Harley Bike rally. So I guess my expectations were a little high for the cuisine. I figured that one couldn't really mess up pizza and it most likely would be fresh. My husband ordered the Stromboli (middle was cold) and the buffalo wings (Costco frozen nuggets with bottled cream sauce) I ordered the Calzone which was pretty good. Omg. This place isn't fancy but the pizza is DELICIOUS. Because I'm a vegetarian- our waiter said I should try this special pizza that wasn't on the menu- a white pizza with garlic ricotta sweet potato broccoli and caramelized onion. YUM. The other pizzas are great too, but this one was to die for. The service was so friendly and we had a great conversation! Nice outdoor seating area. Food was okay. This is really a pizzeria, though we did not order pizza. I had their grilled salmon special which was good but standard. It was literally just grilled, no seasoning, and it came with a tomato/Olive bruschetta on top which also lacked flavor. Good thing they gave me lots of lemon to squeeze over the top. My husband had the penne vodka with chicken special which he enjoyed. If you're looking for a quick bite this might be the place for you. Don't expect great Italian or anything fancy. read more

I've dined in both parts of Giuseppe's restaurant; the fancier portion and the simple fast food style atmosphere. Their pizza and simple appetizers are nice for a family style meal. The fancier portion of the restaurant was absolutely amazing. The service is friendly and very fast. Everything I've ever ordered here is made fresh, served at the perfect temperature, and a great value. I try to go every time I'm in town. read more

Service was good, food hit and miss. Fried Calamari appetizer was on the heavy/greasy side. We didn't finish it. Salad was basic, but good.... as was the bleu cheese dressing. My Chicken Cordon Bleu was good, but nothing special. The wife felt her chicken francese was a bit below average compared to what we're used to. We also ordered a pitcher of white sangria. It tasted good, but it didn't seem to have much (if any?) alcohol at all. For the price, that was a let down. Total dinner before tip was about $80. A bit pricy for average food, and weak drinks. We might be a bit spoiled though, because we are surrounded a bunch of excellent Italian restaurants where we reside(NYC). Very nice staff from start to finish though, but in terms of price and quality, this just did not compete. 3 stars for Lake George cuisine, and once was more than enough. read more
