I really hate to leave this negative review but I'm a sah resident and Been going here for years! (I used to ride my bike here as a teenager). I Place to-go order. They tell me 20-25 minutes. I arrive in 35 minutes. They tell me 10 minutes more. And i end up waiting 35+ minutes - 1 hour. They apologize and tell me there's a mix up in the kitchen. Been told this the past 5 times. I've been a loyal customer but how hard is it for a pizza or a pastrami sandwich? And I've also dined in and the wait is also ridiculously delayed! Sorry but I'm out of grace. read more

This is a lovely restaurant at the top of Euclid Avenue. My husband and I enjoy the ambience and the food is generally very good. The decor is lovely and the noise level is low. I am leaving this review because I was disappointed with my recent service. I ordered the gehmieh. This is listed as a stew with beef, shoestring potatoes, and lentils. It sounds like a hearty dish but when mine arrived there were no potatoes. Nor did she bring the included basmati rice. The sauce seemed thin without the potatoes. When I asked the server where the potatoes were she said she would check with the kitchen. She returned shortly and said they're out of potatoes. It would've been nice to know that prior to ordering because I probably would've ordered something else. The dish seemed anemic without the potatoes. She asked me if I would like basmati rice instead. I replied that the menu states that basmati rice is provided with all stews. She replied, not with that one. I told her I would accept the rice instead of the absent potatoes and she brought me a large plate of rice. Somehow, this did not feel right to me. I did not ask to see a menu again to point out to her that it states basmati rice is served with all stews because I was just trying to have a nice meal with my husband and I didn't want to make trouble. Generally we enjoy dining here very much and we will return because it is a quaint family owned restaurant. I suggest that if they are out of an ingredient to please inform the customer so that they know what they are getting. Also, make it clear on the stews which ones come with basmati rice. Great food...nice atmosphere... sweet service by our waitress, Emne (??). We had a party of 15 (all senior citizens) and I'm sure she earned whatever tips she got! A fun time! Came here a few weeks ago on a Friday night and let me say that if the service was just ok and I was just rating this on the food I would at best give this 3 stars maybe 2. For the price I've honestly had better which is sad because we last came to this place pre-covid and I remember it as having the best rice but now it's just average. So that's the precursor to my review of this place so here's our experience that made me give this a 1 star. Came here with my wife and baby. We were sat down quickly which was great and the place wasn't really packed for a Friday night at that time. We thought great our food would come out quickly since we had an appointment in an hour and a half. Took about 15mins for a server to even come to ask us about drinks. Ok bad start. Another 10mins to bring us the drinks but also brought us fresh bread which was great but then our server disappeared for 30mins till. Took about 45mins for our food arrived and like I said it was just average. Our while dinner took over an hour 15mins but our actual eating time took 15mins. We had asked three times for more bread but never came till the end when we had complained to the manager twice who didn't seem to care about our experience. The experience as a whole in itself wasn't terrible and if that was it would still be a 3 star rating. What we couldn't stand and would give 0 stars if possible was that all other servers avidly tried to avoid tables that weren't theirs. We were between 3 other tables and each had their own server and each of them seemed very diligent and courteous to their tables but would completely ignore anyone that wasn't their table. The only reason I could think of would be that each server keeps their own tables which creates disharmony for a common goal of providing a good eating experience for every customer. This is actually a huge management problem as the restaurants we go to all servers work diligently for all tables. Safe to say we will not come back here. read more

So we asked for a few minutes and that turned into 20 while we watched our server talk to a couple . When she finally got back to us she apologized and admitted she had forgotten about us. We'll see how the rest of the service goes. So the food was good and we noticed that our server just likes to talk to her people more than we are used to. Wow! This place is along the way up towards mt badly ... and the views of the mountains are so beautiful and relaxing ! We went during the lunch rush and we loved being able to sit outside in their covered patio just looking at the mountains! Our waiter was very friendly but we was very busy and it seemed like there were only 2 waiters... We had complimentary bread and butter ... if your not in a rush or starving this is a great place because our food did take some time but it tasted fresh hot and delicious ! Our eggplant hummus dip was really good and had chunks of eggplant and the creamy flavors of the hummus. My chicken Alfredo was decadent! The Alfredo sauce was nice and thick and creamy and just the perfect ratio of sauce, chicken and noodles and this was just the lunch portion. My husband loved his chicken kabob plate ! Went here for dinner tonight. I had Italian- the cheese ravioli with meat sauce while the other guests in my party had Mediterranean- the chicken shish. The ravioli was over-rated, and extremely over-priced. The Mediterranean chicken shish was good. The yogurt and cucumber dip was way over priced ($12) for what it was. Also the ice cream (Saffron) (for $12!!!) was terrible for the price of $12!!! They definitely need to re-evaluate their pricing structure with the quality of food and service. read more

We love this cute and cozy restaurant not just cause of the beautiful Mountain Views and nature around, but because each time we dine here, the food has been always so tasty and satisfying. Oh how we wanted to love this place. The service could not have been worse. We waited about 15 minutes to even be greeted at the table. Waited about 40 minutes for our food (pretty sure they forgot to ring it in) and our sever never came back to check on us or for refills. We sat there almost 10 minutes after we were done eating and ready to go. to get our check. The food was mediocre at best. The chicken on the kabob plate was dry and overcooked. The tomato was just hot mush. Nothing had flavor...it was so disappointing. The lasagna was good, but not great and not worth returning for. Everything was WAY overpriced for what it was. We are new to the area and live within walking distance. We were so excited to try this place, but will never be back and would not recommend. :( read more

This review has nothing to do with their food. Their food is good. I am writing about their service. I ordered to go and waited for 15+ minutes. Another lady came in and she had an order to go as well. The owner immediately asked her if she would like something to drink while waiting. Mind you, he sees me and offers nothing. I'm going to assume it's because the way I was dressed. It's unfortunate that he treated me that way. The thing is we are physicians. He really missed out on future business. Best Chicken kabobs ever, every time we go we say the same thing. THIS place is awesome.

Overall it's a fairly nice restaurant and the food is fairly good. However, sometimes the service can be slow. The last time we ate there we made reservations for dinner during the week. It took them over 30 minutes to seat us with a reservation and half the restaurant was available. They seems disorganized. The decor is nice and casual, nothing too fancy. The shish kabobs tend to be a little on the dry side, so we stick mainly to the pasta dishes which are better. A bit pricey. read more

I made a reservation for a group of 12 for a holiday dinner here at Guiseppe's. Our server seemed overwhelmed at taking care of a large party. He was very nice but he did know the menu when questions were asked. Several bottles of wine were ordered as well as individual glasses of wine. The wait was abnormally long and we were then told that the restaurant did not have any more wine glasses (I must note that our reservation was for 5pm and there were maybe 3 other tables occupied) and that they were short staffed. How does a moderately sized restaurant not have more than a dozen wine glasses? We had to wait for everything. We drank wine from plastic water glasses!! Our food was yummy but the service was just not up to par. I don't know that we will return next year for our holiday dinner after this experience. read more

Our daughter found this little gem hiding at the top of Euclid Ave in Upland and just raved about it. My wife and I decided to try it out. Giuseppe's is a family owned business with a great menu. After ordering a bottle of wine and an appetizer platter that included a combination of hummus, yogurt cucumber dip and dolmeh which really started the evening off in the best way, we decided what were going to eat. I chose the meat filled Ravioli's served on a bed of classic Italian meat sauce while my wife when with the Chicken Marsala sautéed with mushrooms and garlic in Marsala wine sauce. Both meals were delicious, full of flavor and presented very well. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. We knew that our daughter was right about Giuseppe's and we will definitely be returning to try out some out the Kabobs and some of their other Italian dishes.
