I had to come back and write another review. We have come back twice more ..almost back to back. Both times we had Gabriel as our waiter. He is awesome, very attentive and friendly....our water glasses were never empty and my sister and I love the hot tea they serve and he even gave us refills on that it . The tea is served with a side of honey and sugar cubes it's a great presentation. The restaurant is really pretty inside and it also has outdoor dining. There is a resident Orange cat there which also makes me happy since I'm an animal lover . Keep up the good work.. see ya soon read more

Great PIZZA! Never enough, because we always finish every slice at home. The kabobs are my favorite foods. Their rice is special, and irresistible. But nothing is complete without orders of yogurt with cucumber, garlic, and the flat bread that I LOVE. They have great food, friendly people clean and very nice Dining room. In nice weather the outside seating is beautiful and a great break from being inside too much. I could eat there every dinner and not get tired of the food. read more

I came here years ago and loved it. Moved out of the area and we recently came back into town and I had to take my family here. The pizza is great. We tried everything. Enjoyed the kebab. The toughest choice in food is between Italian and Persian cuisine. They are both wildly sought after and each has its own heritage over the centuries. Having access to Italian and Persian food is indeed the best of the both world if the eateries are close by. But here, you can chose either with a flip of a page! The most authentic Persian and Italian food made to order. Freshly prepared Pizza and pasta on one hand and Tandoori bread, along with all kinds of Kebabs are the most inticing and mouthwatering choices you can make. We were sat by one of the owners, Nasrin and were taken care of by Taylor. Abundance of choices along with such attentive service made a memorable experience for us. We previously visited this place for a private function indoor while a wedding was taking place in the courtyard. Up on the hills of the Upland, you find this rare find. This place has it all. Great staff, great service, great prices save excellent food. Especially their Chicken Vegetable soup which was to die for. I ordered the beef ravioli which was scrumptious. My wife got the chicken Alfredo and loved it. My brother ordered the shrimp Alfredo and said that it was excellent. Amazing place. So quaint and comfortable. Ceiling fresco as if I am in Italy. The greeters and servers are top notch. They love what they do and it shows. Everything came in good timing and the food was amazing. I had the lasagna and soup. My friends had the ravioli, manicotti, spaghetti and each dish was super. Try it they don't disappoint. I wish I had listened to every review stating the extremely poor service before dining at this restaurant. I'm not one to complain about service (I've worked in food service before, I get it), but my god this was the WORST service I have ever received. My family and I had reservations at 5PM on a Sunday. We arrived and were sat down, our waitress took our drink/appetizer order. We received our appetizer rather quickly which was great. But 40 minutes later, we still did not have waters or the bottle of wine we ordered. Our waitress (older woman, wore a mask) seemed to have disappeared so we had to flag down a different waiter three times throughout our meal (once for our waters, once to check on our food as it took 65 minutes to come out, and once to get the check). When she eventually did come to our table with our water, she told us they didn't have the wine we ordered and couldn't provide another recommendation. I understand delays and issues happen, but normally you would expect some sort of apology or empathy. Not with this waitress. She was awful. I will NEVER go back to this place nor will I recommend to anyone I know. There are plenty of other great Persian restaurants to frequent in Upland. read more

Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place. My husband and I decided to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary at Giuseppe's since we had ordered takeout from them before on multiple occasions. We entered the restaurant at 7:30pm and were greeted by a nice girl who told us to have a seat while someone cleaned a table for us. She recommended the table by the window, so we accepted and thanked her. We sat in the front lobby for about 10 minutes and another server (bald/dark facial hair) said hello and he'll clear the table for us. Another 5 minutes went by, and yet another server politely asked us if we had been helped (young man, longer dark hair). I explained that we were waiting for the first server to clean the table. He checked on it and seated us right away. We had just sat down to look at the menu when the first server (bald/dark facial hair) came and rudely asked "what do you want to drink?" We asked for water to give us time to look at the menu. He immediately came back with the waters and coldly repeated himself-"what do you want to drink?" We ordered a glass of wine and felt as if we were an inconvenience to him. He then asked "what do you want?" as in hurry up and order. Again we weren't seated even 5 minutes yet. My husband being very patient with his terrible attitude, ordered hummus as an appetizer. He didn't leave and asked "and?" So we both rushed and put in our orders. At that point, I asked if they were closing...maybe I read their hours wrong and he wanted to leave? He rudely said "noo, why would you ask that?" I just replied "oh, okay." I can't tell you how awful this person made me feel. I can't wrap my head around how you can treat someone with such disrespect, especially when it was obvious it was a special occasion for us since we were dressed very nice. There was no need for such behavior and am very disappointed in their customer service. I refused to let this unhappy person ruin something so special for us, so I told my husband I didn't feel comfortable with him and I shouldn't have to deal with someone like that on this special day. My husband and I are huge foodies and we have been to many fine dining restaurants in West LA, Bel Air and Beverly Hills and not once not ever have we ever been treated like animals like this server treated us. My husband being the classy man he is, kindly asked the girl in the front lobby to please ring him up for the 2 untouched glasses of wine and explained to her what had happened. She asked him to please not go, but the damage was already done. At that point, the server came out and my husband told him how very rude he was and that was not great customer service at all. He coldly glared at him and simply walked to the back-no apology, nothing. I do hope the owners speak to this server about his awful behavior and attitude towards customers. I will never give my hard earned money to this establishment ever again and I hope you don't either. read more
