The inside of this restaurant is very welcoming and clean. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo and it was good. The shrimp was a little overcooked, but the Alfredo sauce made up for it. The service was great, and I had a pleasant experience. I would recommend this spot if you're in the area! read more

Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place. My husband and I decided to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary at Giuseppe's since we had ordered takeout from them before on multiple occasions. We entered the restaurant at 7:30pm and were greeted by a nice girl who told us to have a seat while someone cleaned a table for us. She recommended the table by the window, so we accepted and thanked her. We sat in the front lobby for about 10 minutes and another server (bald/dark facial hair) said hello and he'll clear the table for us. Another 5 minutes went by, and yet another server politely asked us if we had been helped (young man, longer dark hair). I explained that we were waiting for the first server to clean the table. He checked on it and seated us right away. We had just sat down to look at the menu when the first server (bald/dark facial hair) came and rudely asked "what do you want to drink?" We asked for water to give us time to look at the menu. He immediately came back with the waters and coldly repeated himself-"what do you want to drink?" We ordered a glass of wine and felt as if we were an inconvenience to him. He then asked "what do you want?" as in hurry up and order. Again we weren't seated even 5 minutes yet. My husband being very patient with his terrible attitude, ordered hummus as an appetizer. He didn't leave and asked "and?" So we both rushed and put in our orders. At that point, I asked if they were closing...maybe I read their hours wrong and he wanted to leave? He rudely said "noo, why would you ask that?" I just replied "oh, okay." I can't tell you how awful this person made me feel. I can't wrap my head around how you can treat someone with such disrespect, especially when it was obvious it was a special occasion for us since we were dressed very nice. There was no need for such behavior and am very disappointed in their customer service. I refused to let this unhappy person ruin something so special for us, so I told my husband I didn't feel comfortable with him and I shouldn't have to deal with someone like that on this special day. My husband and I are huge foodies and we have been to many fine dining restaurants in West LA, Bel Air and Beverly Hills and not once not ever have we ever been treated like animals like this server treated us. My husband being the classy man he is, kindly asked the girl in the front lobby to please ring him up for the 2 untouched glasses of wine and explained to her what had happened. She asked him to please not go, but the damage was already done. At that point, the server came out and my husband told him how very rude he was and that was not great customer service at all. He coldly glared at him and simply walked to the back-no apology, nothing. I do hope the owners speak to this server about his awful behavior and attitude towards customers. I will never give my hard earned money to this establishment ever again and I hope you don't either. read more

Great place to eat. Been going here for years. Always good and always consistent. I remember the days many years ago when this was basically just a to go pizza and spaghetti shop. Now they have great Mediterranean food as well. Which I find myself ordering more than the Italian food these days. read more

I wish I had listened to every review stating the extremely poor service before dining at this restaurant. I'm not one to complain about service (I've worked in food service before, I get it), but my god this was the WORST service I have ever received. My family and I had reservations at 5PM on a Sunday. We arrived and were sat down, our waitress took our drink/appetizer order. We received our appetizer rather quickly which was great. But 40 minutes later, we still did not have waters or the bottle of wine we ordered. Our waitress (older woman, wore a mask) seemed to have disappeared so we had to flag down a different waiter three times throughout our meal (once for our waters, once to check on our food as it took 65 minutes to come out, and once to get the check). When she eventually did come to our table with our water, she told us they didn't have the wine we ordered and couldn't provide another recommendation. I understand delays and issues happen, but normally you would expect some sort of apology or empathy. Not with this waitress. She was awful. I will NEVER go back to this place nor will I recommend to anyone I know. There are plenty of other great Persian restaurants to frequent in Upland. read more

Only spoke on phone because last few visits Food did not taste fresh So I asked if Gormeh subsy. Not sure spelling Was made fresh regularly. Absolutely delicious, after the new renovations to the place everything has improved. The food, service and ambiance of this place has shocked me and I've been to high end restaurants before. Nice little mixture of Italian and Persian food. Full of flavor and large plates. Staff were nice, we sat inside which was nice and cozy. Every staff member that passed by checked on us to see if we needed anything. Location of the restaurant was between Upland homes so parking and distance is very convenient for Upland residents. Came here on a Sunday, waited about 40 minutes to be seated. They did look short staffed and it was packed but thankfully the food made up for it. Giuseppe's has really good Mediterranean food. Apparently they serve Italian food as well. I give this place a 3.5-4 stars. I ordered a chicken kabob plate which was really tasty. My only gripe was the pricing. I paid almost $19 for the dish. Personally, I'd recommend lots of other Mediterranean options in the area that are much or affordable. read more

My family and I came here for the first time today...but it won't be the last time. I had the lasagna and really enjoyed it. It was almost as good as my Italian grandmother's lasagna! My family members ordered the meat ravioli and chicken kabobs and they were very happy with their meals too. Our server was warm and friendly. She answered all our menu questions. First time dinning at this gem and can I say it did not disappoint. The restaurant from the outside looks a bit rustic but when you walk in..wow! Its beautiful. The food was delicious, I ordered the chicken kebab and the chicken was juicy and tons of flavors, as well as the side or rice and grilled veggies. In addition the server went above and beyond. Extremely slow service considering there were only 6 tables with guests. Food took close to an hour to deliver. The Luigi's Special was poor at best, the eggplant was paper thin and mushy; meat balls were dense and over cooked; sausage was dried out; ravoli had very little stuffing. We had a wonderful first experience here! Our waitress Cindy made our visit very welcoming, comfortable and friendly. She was exceptional! I gave four stars ONLY because for non wine and beer drinkers like my husband, there are no cocktails. Other than that, the wine was very good! Even my husband ended up having a glass; we had the 2021 Santa Christina Pinot Grigio, super delicious. Our dishes were the lasagna, humus and meatballs. The dishes are a variety of choices being they serve Italian, Persian and Iranian food which we were pleased with. The atmosphere here was gorgeous too, we just moved back from Santa Barbara and we felt like we were dining back home. We will definitely return and request to be sat where Cindy serves! read more

Today I was in beautiful Upland,Ca. visiting my son and his family and wanted to have an early dinner (4pm). We decided on Giuseppe's Ristorante @ the base of the Majestic San Bernardino Mountains ! My son, daughter in law, 3 young granddaughter's entered the restaurant and were seated immediately by our beautiful young waitress named Alejandra. She was very professional and friendly promptly took our drink order. We asked for a couple of minutes to look over the menu as it was very extensive since they serve both Italian and Mediterranean Cuisine. Both were delicious and served with large portions,the dining room was beautiful and spotless. We received 5 Star Service from Alejandra and crew, management should be very proud of your employees because they did not disappoint ! I highly recommend this establishment because it met all 3 objectives on dining service, ambiance, delicious food ! Job well done ! read more

I really hate to leave this negative review but I'm a sah resident and Been going here for years! (I used to ride my bike here as a teenager). I Place to-go order. They tell me 20-25 minutes. I arrive in 35 minutes. They tell me 10 minutes more. And i end up waiting 35+ minutes - 1 hour. They apologize and tell me there's a mix up in the kitchen. Been told this the past 5 times. I've been a loyal customer but how hard is it for a pizza or a pastrami sandwich? And I've also dined in and the wait is also ridiculously delayed! Sorry but I'm out of grace. read more

An amuse bouche prepared by the chef was also tasty. I was pleased with my dessert of Peach Tart A la Mode. And Blackberry Jasmine Iced Tea washed everything down well.
