This place was recommended by my friend's family and we dined there yesterday. Their specialty is Italian food, but they also offer Persian food. I went for the Lamb Shish Kabob and it was delicious! Came with Naan bread for the table as well as Basmati Rice, Grilled Tomato and Vegetables. A wonderful find indeed! My friend got the lasagna and was quite pleased ... It also came with enough garlic bread for all four of us. One of our party also ordered Dolmeh which was another winner! After we paid the bill, Two of our party needed to leave early, so my friend and I went outside to visit their resident cat they adopted when their neighbor moved out and left the cat behind. My friend was greeted by one of their servers, and the restaurant owner chatted with us, sharing the history of the restaurant, and how they were able to expand. This place has the worst service by far in the city of Upland. My wife and I decided to finally try this place on a date night. We entered the waiting area and were ignored. Employees are running around like chickens without heads. No eye contact, no professional courtesy. We were finally seated after approximately 20 minutes by the kid working behind the front counter. He walked passed my wife and I and said come on with no emotion or greeting. He walked us to a table and slid the menus onto the table and walked off. I believe he said his name was Ali. I looked at my and we both said let's go. We didn't even attempt to sit down. I've been a member of the wonderful Upland community for 25 years and the only way to describe Guisseppe's service is low class awful. I will never go back and will share my experience with every person I know in this community. If you're looking for great service and Lasagna go see staff at Fratello's, they received my business last night and it was money well spent. read more

Giuseppe's has the best Persian food in the area, i'm serious second to none but the service is absolutely horrible. I would actually give this restaurant a five star for the food, but I give it a two star for the service. I don't know maybe it's all family employees they just don't care too much about their patrons, but if you want a really good kebab meal, I would advise coming just be prepared for not great service! read more

To me it has delicious Italian menu items. It is a very interesting mixture of menu items with the Persian and Italian selection. For Me, the soup is fresh and delicious and the lasagna is very good as well to me. My favorite item however is the chicken Parmesan. That is extremely delicious tasting. My wife and I met four friends for dinner at Guiseppe's last night (Saturday). I note the day because apparently Saturday is NOT the best time to have dinner there. Our reservation was for 5:30 PM and we were all on time. The place was busy but not full and there was plenty of wait staff. We were quickly seated and waited approx 15 minutes before our waitress came to get our drink orders. It was another 15 minutes until the drinks arrived. When she brought the drinks we deferred ordering dinner for a few minutes...or so we thought. We placed our dinner orders in at 6 PM. Two of us had ordered side salads and extra bread. Those salads arrived 30 minutes later and that was the last time we saw dinner for an hour. We asked other staff for help but finally had to go the front desk to inquire as to when our dinners would arrive. Bottom line, dinners arrived 2 1/2 hours after we first sat down. And then not all of us received our dinners. So, if you're willing to risk a two and a half hour wait for a meal, then this is your place. BTW, the food is good, a bit pricey but there are other Italian restaurants in Upland with good food and great service. Not returning. read more

I was so excited to try this restaurant. I have heard really good things, And their Mediterranean food was my favorite. My friend decided to take me to this place and I was so shocked that they had Italian and Mediterranean food. It was a pretty legit combo! I tried the chicken kebabs and rice. The chicken was so juicy and the Basmati rice was not dry. The chicken had a nice lemon flavor and I really enjoyed it. Their pita was small but fluffy. I also enjoyed how tasty their hummus was. Great PIZZA! Never enough, because we always finish every slice at home. The kabobs are my favorite foods. Their rice is special, and irresistible. But nothing is complete without orders of yogurt with cucumber, garlic, and the flat bread that I LOVE. They have great food, friendly people clean and very nice Dining room. I had to come back and write another review. We have come back twice more ..almost back to back. Both times we had Gabriel as our waiter. He is awesome, very attentive and friendly....our water glasses were never empty and my sister and I love the hot tea they serve and he even gave us refills on that it . The tea is served with a side of honey and sugar cubes it's a great presentation. The restaurant is really pretty inside and it also has outdoor dining. It is funny to see Italian and Persian cuisine together, but due to the change of ownership, the new one keeps the previous one and it shows on the menu as well. We did not really know what to order, and the best way based on my experience is always ask the waiter or waitress. And fortunately, we have had a great waitress. Not only she is young, but also professional. We ended up ordering whatever she suggested. And it was the best experience ever. We love everything she suggests. She is courteous and passionate about serving people, as well as friendly to join the conversation while she got a chance.
