Disclaimer: I have never dined in here but rather ordered delivery. Overall I'd say this place does a pretty good pizza and the other items might be a little hit or miss but overall I give the place a thumbs up. The pizza is thin-crust style with a crispy bottom and slightly-chewy crust. The sauce has good flavor and there is a good amount of cheese and toppings on the pie. The wings are interesting: breaded with some seasoning and spices so they have a little bit of heat but it's subtle. The wings are a pretty decent size and the breading has some crisp to it, and they also give you some blue cheese sauce for dipping. I also tried a chicken parmesan sub which I think suffered somewhat from being wrapped up in foil for the delivery process. The bun was a little soggy. It had a good amount of cheese and the marinara sauce was pretty good. There was a good serving of chicken on there but it was a touch dry on the inside. Not a bad sandwich but not great either. The prices here are pretty reasonable compared to other pizza joints in the area. Their large pizza is 16" is about $14 but a lot of other places consider a large to be around 14". 10 wings for $6 is also a decent deal. As of November 5th, 2018, I can confirm that this hole-in-the-wall establishment has the finest olive oil that I have ever tasted in the United States. The flavor of the olive oil lacked any of the bitterness that you would expect from export-quality olive oil. The taste of the olive oil was almost buttery, without any heavy animal-product-aftertaste. Instead, there was a olive-y sweetness, which reminded me of the scent imparted by olive trees rustling in an evening breeze. The menu item that I recommend for this experience is the Pizza Sorrento- which includes: spinach, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, and olive oil. Needless to say, by far one of the best pizzerias in the Rockville area! I went in there b/c I was hungry for lunch and wanted to try something different. Damn Gina!! I was in love w/ their pizzas. Giuseppi's is a staple of Rockville. I have been going there for years. I'm sure many of you remember the old location. However, I don't think the move made it any better. In fact if you are going there just to eat, depending on the time of day, finding parking can be impossible. The food has always been exceptional though. Their pizza has a nice doughy, chewy crust but is wayyy too greasy. However, just soak up the grease and you'll be fine (they do it with towels). My friends and I would always go to get the everyday pizza special before we catch a movie because we can get a discounted ticket with our purchase. The service there is great! I actually wish I didn't know it was so good, because the last thing my waistline needs is a go-to place for a steak and cheese, not to mention the crazy good curly fries. Which is super cheap for the area. The pizza..... you know when you're drunk at 3 AM in NYC and you have $2 left in you pocket, and frantically look for a dollar slice. We've been happily ordering from Guiseppi's for at least 20 years and it has always been a treat. Coming from Chicago, land of deep dish delights, I was surprised how quickly thin crust became a favorite. The ingredients are fresh and the price is right. This is a family owned and operated restaurant and it shows. The owners are almost always on site making sure everything runs smoothly and chatting up the customers. Some of the reviewers said the pizza is greasy. Giuseppi's uses real cheese and plenty of it. Unless you're also having pepperoni, the oil is from the cheese. It is easily blotted up with a napkin. Others have said there wasn't enough salt. You can always add salt. If one is limiting their salt intake, it can't be taken out. So... at least this reviewer thinks Giuseppi's has made the right choice in using less. The antipasto salad! Yum. Love the dressing and it takes me several sittings to finish off this beauty, loaded with a variety of meats, cheese, veggies and sliced olives. Yes, parking is a problem. Salad! Pizza! I've been going here for ages since they were even at the old location which was sadly bulldozed :( Alas! I was thrilled years ago when they opened up the new location right next to the movie theater! The staff and owners are all great people. Very close knit and you can tell they truly care about every customer experience. In terms of pizza and salad you can't go wrong here. I have loved their house Italian dressing since day one. I wish they sold it by the bottle! They're conveniently located by the circuit and district courts and other offices so it's a good option if you need something to eat fast, especially when everywhere else has a huge line during the lunchtime rush. I believe the lunch specials (two slices and a drink) are around the $6 mark. Great deal! The full pies are reasonably priced and delicious. The toppings are always proportionate to the cheese and sauce ratio. While I've tried other menu items over the years such as their calzones and subs I haven't been as impressed. I do, honestly, believe that this is the best pizza in the beltway so I am willing to pay a bit more for it. However, It just seems a bit excessive for me to spend $35 on two one-topping pizzas. A few days ago we ordered a pizza from this Rockville institution. There are many people in Rockville that praise Giuseppi's, but even with this being the third time to order from them, I can't see why. The service was good and the pizza arrived in a reasonable time. Prices are OK. However, the center of the large pizza's crust was under cooked and soggy. The sauce- as it has been before- is super sweet. Almost like they dumped a can of tomato soup on it. Spices such as Oregano and Basil are non-existent. It was just a boring pizza. So this was the last time I will be ordering from them. If I want bad pizza, I could just buy a frozen one and save some money. read more

Call me weird, but I like a nice crisp and chewy crust and toppings with a nice browning when it comes to pizza. This does not "taste" bad, but it did not hit the spot for me. Their crust is cracker thin and tastes quite frankly like a cracker. I don't know if they use a low fire oven or something but despite the crispy crust the toppings were warmed enough that they were all soft and wilty but not browned; veggies appeared steamed and lifeless. I usually like my pepperoni a little crispy on the edges but these poor little guys were only heated enough so they sweated grease. When I finished my slices, there was a puddle of oil left on my plate. This is akin to my experience at 2 Brothers Pizza in Manhattan (not a fan btw) but at least 2Bros only charged a dollar a slice. I understand the DC area's rent can rival that of Manhattan, but when you charge 15 dollars for a small veggie pizza, can it somehow be a little more than "mediocre"? read more

The prices are good. Most definitely is NOT NY PIZZA. Do not take a New Yorker there, you will be humiliated. However it does scratch the itch when it needs to be scratched. Owners are very nice. This will inevitably come across as hyperbolic, but I'm gonna just type it anyway: this place as the 2nd best pizza I've ever had. Period. Grimaldi's in NYC is the only place that's better, and that's saying a lot. I've been to Rome, Toronto, Russia, and other spots around the world. This pizza is that darn good. Seriously. I can't say I've ever tried anything other than my favorite: sausage with spinach. There's lots of other stuff on the menu, but I savor the pizza so much I've never even considered trying anything else. The slices are good sized, the pizza is always fresh out the over, and the toppings are delicious. The spinach is lightly sauteed, seasoned just right and generously applied. The sausage has the right amount of spice and is sliced to a perfect thickness. The crust is chewy and flavorful. Places like this make you wonder just why good pizza is so hard to find and make you appreciate the artistry of making a perfect one. Sidebar: I've been other places and asked for spinach on my pizza. 9 times out of 10, they just take raw, uncooked leaves of baby spinach (!!!!!!) and toss them on the pizza. Who does that? Seriously. Take a cue from Giuseppi's. Saute the darn spinach. It takes 30 seconds. If you can't do that, don't offer it as a topping! Anyways, you have to visit this place if you're in Rockville. Find somewhere to park and head inside. The lines are long at lunch but move quickly. Ms Feldman is always quick with the smile and her son's always down to talk Steelers FB. Yes, they are Steelers fans. Besides that, this is a family-run establishment. Their pizza is greasy, service is fast, and calamari look like onion rings. I think the highlights, besides the greasy pizza and curly fries, are the movie ticket deal (purchase certain amount of food and get $5 movie ticket for the theater next door) and location right next to the theater. Potbelly was more like $7 for a movie ticket. I think the calamari's breading was way too thick, but the pizza and fries were good and fulfilling. If you're headed to a movie at the Regal Theater, might as well pick up a quick and greasy and cheap dinner at Giuseppi's! read more
