This place is huge and very open! Food was okay. Service a little slow but granted again the place is huge. I wish they had more options for sandwiches. Other than that, overall was a decent meal if you're ever in the area.

They offer a great selection of beers and a wide variety of menu items. The hubs enjoyed his halibut tacos. While my pizza toppings were a good combo, I was disappointed in the crust. For a place that brags about their homemade dough and brick pizza oven the crust was seriously lacking. It was undercooked and lacked the rise you'd expect in a good crust.

On our Princess land tour we stayed in Anchorage one night. Saw that GB had great ratings on Yelp. Had a couple fresh beers IPA and Raspberry wheat. The meals were great but the best was dessert crème brûlée! Servers were very friendly and helpful. Ambience was very cool and modern.

In town to transfer out from cruise. Stowed our carry on luggage at the Egan Center and this was a short walk from there. Great place! Loved the decorations and the vibe. Our waiter was super nice and was very attentive. The food was delicious. We all had some variation of fish. They were quick about moving tables, but did not rush you either. If I'm ever back in the area, this will be a must again.

Our server was top-notch, she had too many tables- but that's not her fault. So our food took forever to come even though they were not busy and we arrived at an off time. I remember liking this place for dinner- this was our first lunch time experience. The menu is a bit limited at lunch so we went for the salads. My husband got the shrimp one and I got the one with the grilled chicken. The grilled chicken one is delicious. My husband loved his shrimp one, but holy hell is it small. Way too small for a full grown man, even one who is a type 2DM. My biggest beef was with my drink. It. Was. Atrocious. Sink water atrocious, undrinkable, and missing key elements, horrible. Do. Not. Get. The. Hot Toddy. If I ever meet the bar tender in public, we are gonna have words. Because that person has NO BUSINESS working behind the counter. I guess they're used to only selling beer... IDK. if that's the case, just dont offer hard liquor if you cant mix drinks. You RUINED my meal. Barf.

Their seafoods are very fresh & delicious, especially their yellow king crab legs, so fresh and tender.

We always have an amazing time, and this time they showed out yet again. I usually get a steak but this time I got the pasta. So good! I'm always relaxed because they take care of you and you never have to ask twice for anything. I'm sad they had stopped the bread, oil and vinegar but hey things change. I do recommend if you have a few people see if you can reserve the private room. You can play your own music, can sing if you want too... I do we do. You can have a birthday dinner in there and it's very private and exciting at the same time. Makes me feel like I have my personal butler.

Early lunch while working in Anchorage and Glacier Brewhouse hit the spot. I came in hard craving crab legs and had my eye on the Bering Sea King Crab, but $154 for a pound was a little too rich for lunchtime . I still splurged and ordered the 10 oz Red King Crab Legs for $77.50, not cheap, but YOLO. Zero regrets. The crab was super tender, sweet, and perfectly cooked. Honestly didn't even need the butter. I dipped one small bite out of habit and stopped right there, the flavor stands on its own. Yeah, it's pricey, but if you're in Alaska and want quality crab done right, this is the place. Would absolutely order it again.

I know I have reviewed Glacier Brew House but I have to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT to the Bar staff this year!! Heather, Alix, Jackie, Natalie and Z! I hope I didn't forget anyone but the staff is so Amazing, very friendly and kind! During the 12 days of Barley Wine we were always treated like friends, they always had an amazing attitude during this holiday season. Noticed how kind they ALL were talking to people visiting Alaska for the first time & of course the atmosphere is phenomenal. Even the chefs would great us and say have a nice evening. Also Drew the Head Brewer would stop by and ask our thoughts about the Barley Wine. Merry Christmas to EVERYONE

Glacier BrewHouse was recommended by my concierge for seafood and ambiance. I suggest making reservations ahead of time since this is a popular restaurant. Wait times during my visit without a reservation was an hour on a week night. I really liked my server because she gave honest recommendations as to trying to sell the most expensive entrees. I got the seafood fettuccine. The sauce was was rich and creamy. The dish was filling with the salmon, scallops, and cod. I was going to get the chowder, but my server suggested not to since my dish was similar to the chowder......additional dollars added to her tip. Glacier BrewHouse gets five stars and many return visits.

This was the best meal I've had in Alaska! The halibut was amazing and fresh, the calamari was tender and delicious, the prawns were cooked to perfection and the salmon dip was amazing. Topped it off with a very rich, amazing peanut butter pie. Our server was also great-Ljubisa.

    Simply the Best Calamari

We had 9PM reservations and immediately after we were sat we were asked to place our orders as the "kitchen was closing soon". Besides being rushed into placing all our food and drink orders at once, the food was delicious, and I always recommend the calamari. Another side note- our waitresses fingernails were long, dirty, and caked with dirt underneath. It definitely grossed me out as my food was being presented!

This place was PACKED! But I think it's a local place for when all the cruise passengers come in to start their journeys in Alaska. The staff was very pleasant but the crowd was a lot. In terms of food, they have a big menu! The jalapeño cornbread was very good and he had the seafood fettuccini and I had the halibut special. Pretty good food - nothing crazy good. I would recommend if you're in Anchorage and looking for a quick bite! Nice atmosphere with bear cams! Try to get reservation as I overheard 1.5 hour wait when we were leaving last night.

What time does the dinner menu begin?

Don't know ! Call them to find out or go on their website.

I don't see the giant crab legs on the menu anymore. Is it seasonal? Is it offered as a special? Visiting Anchorage in May and want to come for this. Thanks!

They haven't had this on the menu on some time. There are other like places with giant crab legs close by, 49th State being the closest and equally good.

Where did the prime rib chili go it was so amazing? I know it's been many years since I've been there but I still cannot forget the taste of the prime rib chili so good

In speaking to the wait staff I learned they reduced their menu due to COVID. Hope they bring some favorites back soon.

I can't have dairy, eggs or wheat? Is there anything I can eat here?

If you can eat seafood or meat and veggies, there's plenty on the menu to satisfy.

    Do they do take out?

Yes we do you can call 907-274-2739

    Do you have Vegan options?

Not so many. Very limited vegetarian options.

Would like some suggestions on some cocktails available here please!? Is there a kid menu? Then your favorite thing off the menu too! Thanks

Not sure about cocktails, it's a brewery so I do beer (the blonde usually) There is a kid menu w pasta and a few other choices that comes with a drink and cookie ice cream sandwich and the seafood chowder is delicious.

Do you have to have a reservation in order to eat here?

No but I would recommend it! They get packed, however, we waited only 20 minutes to get seated and we were there at or around 730ish on a Tuesday.

When we got there we were brought to our seats. It was a long shared table for everyone. It seems as they were lacking some preparation, there wasn't a course menu on the table so you had zero idea of what you were about to be served. The first course came out, a carrot soup with an IPA. Other staff walked right past us without so much as a "someone will be right with you," which set a pretty uncomfortable tone right off the bat. We eventually got seated, but even with the restaurant being pretty empty it still took a while before a server showed up to the table. Our server wasn't rude or anything, but the energy was just completely flat. It felt like he could not care less about being there. Sodas got refilled once the entire night. Between being seated and appetizers, and again between appetizers and our entrees, he was basically nowhere to be found. The thing that really got me was being asked if we wanted boxes while our plates were still full and we were just sitting there having a conversation, never once offering to top off our drinks until we finally asked. It's a shame because the food really was solid and the restaurant itself has a nice warm vibe to it. ORSO clearly has a lot going for it and on a different night with more attentive service it could easily be a 4 or 5 star experience. For now it's hard to rate it higher than a 3 when the service makes what should be a really nice dinner feel like an afterthought.

It features a blend of barstool window seats, barstool bar seats, high-top tables, and standard-height tables. We went for a very late lunch, which made the quick food delivery and yet under-attentive service a little perplexing. Having spent last summer in London, the attraction at TCT for us was comparing and contrasting Alaska Halibut Fish & Chips with the British fare. I wanted to like the Tent City offering; I really did not. For the price ($28/ea), we got three modest pieces of fish and the equivalent of two servings of chips. Both the fish and the chips were mushy (undercooked), with a heavy batter finish in contrast with the light and crisp British offering. The accompanying tarter sauce was an odd raspberry-and-blackberry concoction that my family and I called a pickle aftertaste. The presentation, for the price and the atmosphere, was a confusing combination of a metal basket lined with wax paper (like a 1950's drive-through), plastic water and soda glasses (like a college cafeteria), and real silverware. Other reviews have high praise for TCT so, on our next visit to Alaska, it will be good to give them another try. The bones of this establishment are in place for a really special experience, but, today, for me, it was just "ok."
