We have used Gladiator's service for regular pest control prevention for a couple of years now and recently reached out to get their help for concern about rat activity. First, Gladiator was very quick to return our call, office staff is very helpful and responsive. Ubaldo was the field technician who came to the site; he was very knowledgeable in assessing the areas of risk for rat entry into the structure, and immediately identified solutions to cover up areas of breach. He was also very responsive to questions and easy going and helpful. We felt like we were in good hands and were put at ease in an otherwise pesky situation. I have no issues with the technician that came out this summer 2020. He came, sprayed for maybe 10 minutes- left, and conquered. The ants seem to have been keeping away so I'm happy. I did have some issues with booking and payment as the person I spoke with seemed a little slow and scattered but friendly. All in all a fine experience. read more

Called about some critters we were hearing inside the walls of our house. Gross! Andrea was super nice on the phone and gave us a 2 hour appointment window. The inspector arrived 10 mins early, which is great! I'm used to people arriving 30 mins AFTER the window is over. He found the entry point, which was really small and difficult to see. He didn't charge us to patch it or trap, he just gave us instructions on how we could do it ourselves, which saved us a good deal of money. They came by today to help check my business for a rat problem that we have been having. It was just a consultation, but they were really knowledgeable. What I like most is that you can tell that the company actually care about the people that they serve. They are also very thorough and do all the checks that they need to make recommendations to you. Unfortunately, it is not a problem that I was able to finish right away because of the way the building is set up. We are going to have to get everyone in the building on board. However, it's nice to know that I have a gladiator in my phone book for when we are able to take care of the issue. Third pest control company I am using for an ant / mouse problem. I cannot complain about the first two as quite likely I am a poor communicator and we were taking care of a lot of things ourselves such as emptying the traps without letting the other companies know. However, eventually we ended up paying for a bunch of work that we did ourselves. But today the problems are back. This has already been an incredibly different experience! Angelica answered the phone and then kept me on until it every detail was ironed out and I knew exactly what was going to happen and what I needed to do. We are so happy with Gladiator! We had first used a different company and Gladiator is night and day. The original company we contacted we were over 2 hours late and so laissez faire. Never picked up the phone, our technician was almost 2 hours late, and when he arrived seemingly couldn't answer a single question about the process. Nor did he do what was needed to remedy the problem. For what it's worth we had roaches..eek Gladiator on the other hand were incredibly helpful. I believe her name is Angelica (sp?) was incredibly compassionate and empathetic on the phone, super knowledgeable and helped us get someone in ASAP to make sure our problem didn't escalate. Very thankful for her time with me. Our exterminator was George which WOW after one service already almost completely eliminated our problem. We did have him come by one more time to spray and make sure the problem was gone ( common with this type of pest, and for what's it's worth we requested him ). He's spectacular. Extremely prompt and clearly wants the problem gone as much as you. Really friendly and trustworthy. Even gave a call before his start time window to let us know how far he was. The guy knows what he's doing. Also, the company has a great warranty, I believe 60 days. So If you need repeat services they will come back at no extra cost- a MUST even even if you find even one roach. Would recommend! read more

I've been meaning to write a review about the service I received back in November. It was right before Thanksgiving and I saw a rat! I am deathly afraid of rodents. I called every male I knew to assist me in Catching the critter. I ended up setting a trap myself and catching it. However, I was afraid there was a nest or at least one more. We all know that rats only Forge and mate, at least that's what google said lol. I came on Yelp and found Gladiator Pest Control. It was the week before the Thanksgiving holiday so they were booked up. I cannot remember the lovely woman's name on the phone, but she promised to get someone out to me that Monday. When Monday rolled around, their technician Josh showed up. He walked me through the entire process. Giving me a complete estimate and looking for potential entrances. He was kind enough to even fill a few holes for me with some Brillo pad I had at home. I opted for the two-week extermination plan, where they would set traps and come out every two days to check them. In addition, I had some missing Foundation on the outside of my house that they would cover for a cost. He set my appointment for two days later and came out and did exactly what he said he would do. He repaired the hole and set the traps. Every time he would come out to check the traps he made sure to leave me a yellow slip advising me of his findings. He ended up catching a small Mouse, but no other rats were found. Throughout the time I was being serviced he was always available via text message, gave me specific instructions on the sounds and what to look for. When his job was done I felt completely comfortable that there were no more rodents. Even still, he said if I should run into anything to text him. I was extremely pleased with the service I received from the beginning at hello from customer service to the end at completion. I used Gladiator last year (2018 the year the ants invaded everywhere) and again this year. Anthony has been my technician both years and is great: shows up punctually, is courteous, professional & knowledgeable. I feel their prices are fair because they do great work & are performing a service for which they are *way* more qualified than am I, have access to potions & whatnot that hopefully novices do not, and do something I am not willing/able to do (crawl around under my porch, decks, etc). Beyond disappointed with this company! Untrustworthy and unprofessional! I was not able to be at the property during Gladiators inspection as I don't live there and I rent it out to my tenants. I had thoroughly explained to Ralph the owner that I would appreciate having him communicate directly with me as I, the property owner wanted to be informed of any issues (should there be any). INSTEAD, he went to my tenants and informed them that not only did I have a major infestation problem but that I was also getting other quotes rather than going with his company. (Btw, isn't that the RIGHT thing to do is get other potential quotes?) I later had another exterminator come by who told me THERE WAS ZERO EVIDENCE of an infestation!!!!! So disappointed that this company was willing to take advantage of a property owner who wasn't on site during his inspection. ALSO, Don't be upset just because the customer wants to make sure they are well aware of the situation and exercise their right to be able to use a company who's prices are affordable. Gladiator is expensive and unreliable. I caution using this company and will most definitely advise getting other opinions when looking for an honest and reliable exterminator. read more

Wow! What an honest man. I have a large swarm of bees on my patio chair. I called LA Fire, who told me to call Vector Control, who told me due to budget cuts they no longer handles bees. But luckily, they gave me a list and this company was the only one who services my area. I spoke with George and explained the situation. After having me describe the swarm (size, location, and length of time at location) he assured me that they were just resting there and relocating the queen, who was in the middle of the "ball 'o bees." He said they should be gone in a couple days (maybe even by morning). He could have come out and charged me a lot of $$. What do I know about bees? (close to nothing). He saved me money AND calmed my fears. Guess who I'm gonna call the next time I need help (no, not ghostbusters!) Thank you! read more

George is the GREATEST - thorough, personable, knowledgeable, tireless. I wish I could give more than five stars. I will NEVER use any other company than Gladiator. Much to my dismay, rats got into our house. Lots of other companies will send someone out to give you an estimate, and then service you four or five days later. Not Gladiator - George came the same day and immediately climbed into our crawlspace and started blocking holes and setting traps (and then came back every other day to check them). But the rats kept coming in, so George brought his boss over and they went over the house inch by inch, but could not find any more entry points, so they suggested it was an open pipe in our walls and to get plumbers to fix it...which was correct and we did. BUT! there was now a rapped trapped in our house, who had now learned to avoid all traps. George came back AGAIN (they never charged me more for all those extra visits!) and coached me on how to catch it. He was right and we eventually caught it. I am just so impressed by him and Gladiator. Everyone was so friendly, and George was particularly committed to eradicating our rodent issue, and never seemed exasperated when I would text him in a panic. We had some rats in our garage that chewed up our car engine coils and had to get help right away. Rudy and the team were amazing. I called in the afternoon and they came the following morning, laid down traps, and by the next morning we had caught two! They were very personable, showed us where rats where probably getting into the garage, closed it up, left the traps, and came back the next morning once they were caught. Really happy with the quick and prompt service we received from Gladiator Pest Control. I reached out to Gladiator Pest Control on Thursday and spoke with Dolores about ants trying to claim the interior of our townhouse. Instead of immediately suggesting their services she actually asked if I had reached out to our HOA and find out what pest control company the use for the exterior. Since our HOA has an existing contract with another pest control company we probably could get interior issues addressed for a discounted price. I didn't realize that was the case and followed up with our HOA. Fortunately, our HOA's pest control didn't pick up nor did they bother returning my call. By the end of Thursday, I called back to Gladiator Pest Control and Dolores helped schedule an appointment for us for the very next day! On Friday, Ralph, arrived 30 minutes ahead of schedule to let us know that he was here to service our townhouse. My mantra has always been if you show up on time you're late....never hurts to show up early! He was able to immediately detect the issue, address the issue, and provide suggestions on how to mitigate it in the future. Crossing our fingers that those bothersome ants don't come back and if they do thank god Gladiator offers a 60 day guarantee! Edward at Gladiator is simply the best. He is conscientious, extremely thorough with each visit, very knowledgable about all types of pests, warns us to remove anything that could attract unwanted pests like standing water, overgrown plants etc and he's an all around great guy. He also always gives us a heads-up when he's coming out for routine calls. Monday we noticed ants in our kitchen for the first time in like 5 years (which Gladiator had eradicated). Edward came out immediately and searched for 45 min until he found a nest at the end of our exterior at the top of a tree. He treated, baited and this morning nothing. Also, a word about Gladiator. we've lived in Westwood 22 years. Used the two other popular companies and all they tried to do was upsell me on treatments we didn't need. Gladiator is different. Truly amazing, kind, and professional. I used their services last year because we had BBs (I don't dare type the actual name for extreme fear). Josh came to our apartment, gave us a thorough inspection and performed the service. I am happy again. Flash forward to this summer and mysterious bites on my shoulder. I call Gladiator again and Josh does another inspection and finds nothing. I am so relieved. Josh also says that I can text him, send him photos, etc if bites return. I was working with another company. I did not trust them and decided to get a second opinion from Gladiator. WOW. What a difference. Josh from Gladiator was calm and thorough and really knew his stuff. He cares so much and really went above and beyond not only to rat proof my home but make sure I was comfortable with everything. I called GPC to come investigate a horrid smell under our house. We thought it was a dead animal but John from GPC found a cracked pipe and told us it was actually a leak from our main line! Ugh! Thankfully he found it and was so kind to not charge us for coming out since there was no dead animal to carry away. I now kind of wish that was the case! More roaches (this was explained that there would be more roaches after the treatment). A month later, more roaches. They sent someone out to do another treatment. More roaches immediately following. A month later, more roaches. A lot more roaches are now in the house than there were before we had them come. Called them again. Left a message. No return call. CALL OR REQUEST A QUOTE NOW, THESE GUYS ARE LEGIT. -- We had a bed bug scare on Sunday morning. My girl found a little bug in our bed and we freaked out. I found Gladiator on Yelp and requested a quote online, without planning on hearing back until Monday. To my pleasant surprise, Ralph phoned and texted me within an hour. I called him back and described the problem. He asked me to send a pic of the bug, which we kept for this exact reason. I sent via text message and he called back a minute later explaining that what we had was actually a "varied carpet beetle"and not a bed bug. He explained in great detail what we should do to prevent them. I can't thank Ralph enough for 1) responding ASAP even on a Sunday 2) truly finding out the issue before coming 3) saving us time and money for his honesty. GOOD SERVICE. was able to come in 3 hours and sprayed some stuff in and outside the house for the roach problem we had. price was so much more reasonable compared to the others i tried calling(i called like 14 different companies). explained to me why the roaches were coming in, and gave me some good tips on future prevention. super nice guy. not sure yet about how effective it was yet since its only been two hours since hes sprayed inside and out of the house, but will do an update.
