What I like about this place is their glazed doughnuts and the kolaches. I tried the green tea pistachio and red velvet cake doughnuts and I really didn't enjoy them. But the glazed are money. But the only thing that will prevent me from coming back is the price. It's up there and i would rather grab a dozen somewhere for the way less. A part of my resolution this year is to be more spontaneous and venture out more to places I haven't been to as oppose to sticking with personal favorites. With that said, I finally found myself at Glaze, Saturday morning. We were greeted by friendly staff who offered us a taste of their glazed donut holes. We opted to get a dozen to have that variety: Glazed donuts were really good, not too sweet with the right amount of glaze. The texture is what you'd get if Krispy kreme and Dunkin donuts married, light and doughy at the same time. Fruity pebbles and cinnamon twist ($1.50 each) The twist was perfect with cinnamon taste in every bite, the former not so much as the cloying sweetness overwhelmed my palate. Nutty professor and Maple with bacon ($2.25 each) from their fancy list was added to the bunch. The Nutty Professor described as a donut topped with Nutella and a variety of nuts didn't really wow me, it tasted good but I didn't even detect the distinct Nutella taste and the flavors of the different nuts, it tasted like chocolate frosting topped with peanuts. The Maple bacon: although the maple frosting was a little bit sweet, the addition of bacon made it a perfect balance of savory and sweet. Also tried their Blueberry cake which is a good contender from my favorite place across town. There were several donuts that I saw pictures of on their page that I wanted to try but didn't see in their display case, it was my bad that I didn't ask about them though. Most likely I will be back since I live minutes from this place and the glazed donuts and cinnamon twists definitely have earned a return visit. *** I have since gone back a couple more times and it's safe to say I'm a fan! These are such delicious donuts! I just ordered what looked good in the case. My assortment consisted of matcha, taro coconut, chocolate glazed with puffed chocolate cereal, strawberry glazed with fruity pebbles, blueberry cake, Bavarian creme, and this was during the week! Went here to pick up some donuts for some friends of mine. I walked in and the donuts seemed pretty basic on the outside... meaning they didn't look all crazy different like at pinkboz but def steps up from dunkin donuts. I didn't know what to get so I just asked the guy working to choose whatever dozen. I'm so glad he did because I hear they were super good. I got a churro horchata donut for me and a Bavarian donut for hubby. I thought it was really near how they fill the cream/fruit ones on the spot, probably cuts down on wasted and maybe prevents soggy donuts? Anywho. Not only did I think the doughnuts tasted fresh as fuck, they were so so good. My grandmother agreed. And she's really picky with her sweets. Aside from all of the fancy things and how amazing the doughnuts are, the customer service and energy of the shop is really what appealed to me. It's a calming store and I appreciated the way the entire store helped me. It was really kind. One thing I really wanted to add was the patience and attentiveness that Niko performed. While working he had many customers come in and didn't seem overwhelmed or frustrated. Even with needy demands. He was so kind and graceful. My boyfriend bought me a maple bar and green tea donut from here today, and they were the best donuts I've *ever* tried. My favorite type of donut is the maple bar from Winchell's, but these seriously beat that out of the park. He bought them for me at 11, and I didn't get to eat them until 7, but they were still so soft, moist and fluffy. They seriously melt in your mouth. The green tea one is really flavorful and the matcha they use is top quality. I love the addition of pistachios on top as well, they're soft and give the right amount of crunch. The maple bar was surprising to bite into. Even after hours, the glaze on top was still really creamy and not hardened at all. The dough was so so soft still. It was a dream. 4 stars for taste but the overall experience was so-so and gets a 3. We came in and even though it was still early there weren't many choices out. We ordered 4 donuts and some donut holes and went across the street to the hospital. Some donuts had frosting and others didn't, well they were all thrown in the bag together and the 3 that originally had frosting now had none and it was all over the inside of the bag and other donuts. I was impressed with this doughnut place. They make all the doughnuts made to order. So do not be discouraged when you get there and don't see your doughnut of choice in the display window. They don't have many out for show since they do make them on the spot. Just let them know what you want and they will make it for you. I got two doughnuts, the people's choice and the strawberry shortcake. Both were so good but I liked the strawberry shortcake the most. This is a doughnut with strawberries and whipped cream in the middle. The people's choice had chocolate chips with caramel swirl, also good but strawberry shortcake took the cake. A Sunday morning out had me wanting to stop by this place i have driven by many times. Greeted by a nice guy who handed over a plain glazed, glazed old fashion, and a coffee that was on special i think for $2.99 (maybe). The coffee station was just a small setup in the corner that was coffee thermoses with pumps, and a few sugars with a cream so nothing too special. One of the two thermoses was empty, and the one i got coffee from was cold so i dont think they keep too close a watch on that over there. But the donuts were very good. Great consistency on the cake and not too sweet on the glaze. I was very pleased with these and are glad to have this place close to the house for another trip for those. read more

I had been going to a national chain, because it was on the way to work from my previous residence. Stopped into Glaze this morning to check them out. Wow! Great service, I was even offered a free, warm fresh donut while ordering. I had them pick a mixed dozen so my team could give me some feedback on the product. Universally they were a hit. I was visiting from out of town (Los Angeles) and I was driving by to visit a friend that lives nearby and I saw that they had a group of people outside! I had to check it out - when there is usually a line outside the door, it's considered a good sign! It so happens that It was actually their 'soft opening' so their donuts were 50% off!!! SWEET!!! Great local donut shop in the SW part of town. Donuts are fresh and airy. Cake donuts, specifically the Red Velvet Cake Donut is pretty good. Good special, 2 donuts and a coffee for $3.
