The service department is terrible, especially Robert Harlow. I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation, Robert said it would take 1-2 hours. After 6-hours of waiting and not hearing from him, I called and was placed on hold for 20-mins. Finally the rep said to go pick up my car. When I arrived Robert didn't bother to offer an apology or explanation. Not to mention they brought up the wrong car. It was a very frustrating day, as I needed my car to run personal errands. It seems once Robert found out we had the insurance plan and we wouldn't be paying for the service he lost interest, which I think is unfair. I bought a 2008 Chevy Equinox from Glendora Chevrolet about 3 years ago. They were very friendly and professional, and although I didn't have much money to put down, they were more than willing to work with me. That night, I drove off the lot as a satisfied, loyal customer. Here it is 3 years later, and my mechanic told me that it would cost more to fix my car than what it's worth. I wasn't ready to buy a new car, but I had no choice (I should have done routine maintenance on it like my dad told me). A friend of mine who works at Glendora Chevy, told me to head down there and speak with Aaron. When I arrived, I was quickly greeted by one of the salesman (sorry I forgot your name, but you were awesome), and he assisted me with finding Aaron. Long story short, again, without much money down, I was still able to trade in my car and drive off again as a satisfied customer! Aaron was a great and honest salesman who made me feel as if I was talking to family the whole time. Leslie in finance, made me feel as if I was talking to a friend that I haven't seen in years. My husband recently bought a 2018 Bolt from this dealer. The positives are that he got a good deal, the salesperson, Sosi, was very nice and the financial guy was great. The negative is that the manager doesn't seem to know what he's doing. Here is a list of things that resulted from that: 1. We wanted to pay for the car, in full, with a check so they wouldn't have to run our credit (we froze it and didn't want to go through the hassel of unfreezing it). We were told that was fine, but that they would need the check to clear before they released the car. No problem. My husband went there to drop off the check before work and the manager said he didn't need it. Then, they called him later in the day saying they needed it after all. He was already at work, so he had to drop off the check on his way home right before they closed. 2. Okay, so they have the check. My husband was told we could get the car over the weekend. We get there to pick up the car. When we did, we found out they never cashed the check. Instead, they wanted to run our credit. We reminded them that we were paying with a check and that they said they wouldn't have to. They insisted they had to run our credit to verify our identities. Made no sense. We refused to let them. They finally said that was fine. We ended up trashing the check and wiring the money. But, they wanted to make sure they had it before releasing the car. Luckily, they agreed to deliver the car to our house when the money was deposited a few days later. (On a related note to #2, my husband already traded in his car to them, thinking he would get the Bolt that day, as promised. When he didn't, that meant my husband was without a car for 3 days. To their credit, they did say they could loan his old car back to him, but we were so exhausted from being there for over 3 hours, we didn't want to wait for any additional paperwork to be processed). 3. Because of everything mentioned in #2, we were at the dealer for over 3 hours. Over 3 hours even though they knew the car we wanted (it was literally sitting outside for us). No clue why they keep us there that long. At one point, we were sitting at Sosi's desk for 45 minutes looking at hiking pictures on his computer and talking about food, all while we waited. 4. Here is the biggest issue: A big reason why my husband got this car was for the carpool. He purposely waited to buy it at the end of the year so that he could apply for the carpool decal in January '19 and get 4 years of using the carpool. Come to find out, Chevy applied for the decal in '18, meaning my husband will only get the decal for 3 years. This was never disclosed to him. If it was, he wouldn't have bought this car and would have gotten a 2019. He texted Sosi and was told that the manager said he can extend it for another year. There is absolutely nothing that guarantees this. After going back and forth over text, the dealer stopped responding to my husband altogether. #GhostedByChevy Please be cautious if you plan to buy a car from them. We never will again. Whether intentional or unintentional, they will not be upfront with you. They are also ill informed and disorganized. read more

Made an appt for first service an my brand new car. Was told only available time was 3pm, dropped off car at 3 pm was told would be done at 4:30. Arrived at 4:30 and they hadn't even pulled car into bay yet. Had to take car without being touched. No return coupon, no car wash, just a simple "sorry" from service advisor. Contacted several different emails provided by automated service reminder and no reply. Sales sells the first car, service sells the second, or doesn't sell the second in this case. This dealership not only tries to rip off customers but there customers service is the worst. We went to the dealer after waiting almost 2 weeks for the car to arrive. We had a capital one pre-approved offer, which we have use several times before and got the exact same deal that we were matched with. They tried to rip us off with our trade-in after they told customers "trade-in are worth more than new cars." Claudia called us today saying that they want to work with us to make the deal, we told them the only deal we will accept is our Capital one offer, she tried to get us to accept a 5 thousand increase. We said again the only deal we will accept is our Capital one offer then Claudia hung up the phone. What kind of business calls you then hangs up on you. I have been coming to this dealership for the last two years since I have had my 2013 Chevy spark. During the time I had my warranty the service department did good work. BUT this last time I brought my spark in to see what was wrong with my AC. It was only blowing cold air while driving on the highway. The service department check the problem and had recommended I needed to replace the compressor and the high pressure hose for $1200! I expressed that that was way too much money. When I got the car back the AC was completely broken and wasn't even blowing cold air when driving. I took the car to another trusted mechanic and they found the only issue was the refrigerant had been completely drain ( most likely when at the dealership) and the high pressure hose needed to be replaced. I had that work done for a small amount of money and my Ac works perfect now. I don't normally write reviews of businesses, but I feel it is important to expose this issue, because I feel that I was lied to in order for the business to drain money out of me. Whether this was an intentional lie or not, I do not appreciate what I just went through with this chevy service center. I will never take my car back to this dealership. read more

I had an 830 appointment. I arrive at 8:40 in there for service people working. I'm first in line in 15 minutes later they still haven't help me. I leave and call the service manager and I am put on hold for about 45 minutes and he never answers. I guess we can see why their service is so bad. Priscilla was very nice. She helped us with a test drive. We ended buying a car somewhere else that had better inventory on used cars. We came looking for a specific car and the manager kept suggesting other cars and made it seem like all used cars would be used and abused so we should check out the new ones. We found a very clean and nice used car 2 days later somewhere else. I can see why other yelp reviewers didn't like this place. I can't imagine that actually buying a car would be very pleasant. I should've read the reviews here first before blindly trusting that this dealership really cared about serving the needs of the customers rather than their own pockets. I drove an hour to see a used Honda Accord Sport on Saturday (10/13) and was greeted by a friendly team member David. Took for a test drive and I loved the car. Sat down with Eddie who tried to give me his best pricing and while he gave me a lot of pressure, I informed him that I would like to take a day to think about his offer as there were two other dealerships I was in talks with. Then comes Roger (assistant sales manager) and he actually gave me a very good offer, but because it was a big purchase for me I thanked him for the offer and gave him my word that I will be back next day with my final decision and I did. I drove yet another hour and they gave me the VIP appointment. You know what this VIP appointment looked like? They were short-staffed and made me wait 45 minutes in the lobby until Roger came out to finally discuss my decision. Keep in mind, I was ready to buy this car and brought my down payment as well. Then everything went south. Roger decided to change his mind on the offer he gave me less than 24 hrs ago. And it turns out, they lied about the mileage. They advertised as 6,400 miles, but it turns out it was 11,200 miles! Then they changed the offer and increased $2000! I was so disgusted by their bait and switch and no apologies were given. Their website still says 6400 miles. Deceitful, dishonest, and shady! I also spoke to Edward who is the sales manager and explained all this to him. No apologies about my experience or the very fact they lied about the mileage. I hope no customer would go through what I went through with Glendora Chevrolet. Please, if you're reading this go to another Chevolet dealership and save yourself the headaches. read more

If I could give -5 stars - I would. This service department lies, lies, lies. Communication is horrid. I've had to call as many as 16 times to get one answer and someone to "help". Our service experience - which isn't over - has solidified our opinion to NEVER EVER BUY a car here and NEVER EVER use this service department again. BUYER BEWARE. You will regret going to this dealer!!!!! Update as of 9/14/18: I sent a full, detailed email account to the Glendora Chevrolet employee who posted below on the date they posted that (9/11/18). I HAVE RECEIVED NO RESPONSE! MANY MANY CALLS LATER I HAVE "updates" from the service dept that daily barely change. I have a guy in the department who states on a message recording that he will check in with his tech and give me an update before the end of the day and HE NEVER CALLS! My husband just went to the dealer after getting off work and both The service "manager" Alex, and the guy calling us are gone for the day. NO NOTES IN THE SYSTEM TO UPDATE WITH ANY NEW OR REAL INFO. Then - because my husband rose a stink at the dealer, The service guy calls from his "personal cell phone" and leaves my husband a message nearly identical to what he said to me earlier. There's no progress! There are two major jobs being worked on and ours is one of them. 10 days they've had the car. We had rental coverage for 5 because that's how long this job should've taken per the warranty co. NEVER EVER EVER GO TO THIS DEALER! You will REGRET it beyond belief. They've actually turned me off of any GM vehicle in the future. The business model here is to try to charge you as much as possible even if your vehicle is under warranty. They disregard their own warranty and try to run your bill up. Completely unethical and possibly criminal practice here. I had my Chevy volt here a while back and they said it wasn't covered under warranty and tried to charge me almost $2000 when I argued with them they basically told me I was lying so I went to another dealer who covered it all under warranty. It's a shame I have to drive out of my area to not get ripped off. I had a tire pressure monitor go out. They adjusted it last month and it went out again on a new car. They tried to charge me $250 to replace it. Had to argue with them to get them to do what they should have done, cover their warranty. Do not bring your car here unless you want to get scammed. The guy even had the nerve to tell me to not mention any of this on the survey. I can't wait to get the survey. read more

This is the worst dealership! My friend and I went to look at their Malibu's and Doug (the internet manager) took us on a test drive. He had the nerve to tell us that their dealership grosses the same as others but sells less cars. Which means they dont make as many deals. That is not something a car buyer wants to hear. So we get back to the dealership and Doug takes my information without going over numbers with me. He refused to come down on the overpriced Malibu with too many miles. Doug was getting upset because I wouldnt let him run my credit before he told me a price. Totally UNPROFESSIONAL. Then Doug scrambled the papers on the desk and sent the sales manager in who did the same thing. No one at this dealership wanted to make a deal on their overpriced cars. Service: My family and I came in Saturday with no appointment eager to have my new to me 2008 Suburban serviced and inspected. Being in the business myself I know this can be challenging on a weekend but Dorian was able to make some time for me if I came back later in the day. Took the family out for some much needed Taco's and came back when told. When we arrived Dorian was unavailable and Sarah jumped in and got me written up. I was very happy with the service and in less than two hours I was serviced and comfortable with my purchase I had made earlier that day. It's always better to have an appointment but nice to know there's a place that will go above and beyond to make sure everyone can get seen. Waiting room is a little small but actually has everything you possibly need. My wife and I have been shopping for a mechanically sound, reasonably priced used car for our teenager for about 6-weeks. After several trips to this dealership and haggling with sales managers about prices, we finally agreed on a price for the car we wanted. I had the car inspected by an independent mechanic, and it seemed to be fine, except for a few wear-and-tear items that would need to be replaced in the future. The finance manager, Leslie Johnston, made the paperwork process easy. We closed the deal and drove the car a few miles home when out of the blue it just stopped running. We were really distraught about spending all of our savings on this car "as is" with no warranty. Now, we'd have to get it towed to a repair shop where it would sit through the long holiday weekend until it could be fixed the next week. I didn't call the dealership at first, because I expected them to say, "Well, you bought the car "as is," and you declined the vehicle service plan, so now you're on your own." Instead, my wife called Leslie, explained the situation, and asked if the dealership would help in some way. To our surprise, she said they would, and had us tow the car back in the afternoon. That night, I spoke with the general sales manager, Chris Legaspy, about the problem and asked if they determined what was wrong. They hadn't, but he promised they would get it figured out the next day. We talked briefly in the morning, and by mid day they diagnosed the problem, ordered parts and promised the car would be repaired by the end of day. Sure enough, Chris called me at 4:30pm, said my car was ready to be picked up, and told me to ask for him personally when we arrived at the dealership to pick up the car. He walked us through the service dept., took care of the paperwork, then drove the car out of the service area for us. Honestly, if we did not have such a great experience with Leslie and Chris, I would have given this dealership a mediocre review at best. However, the dealership demonstrated such good will toward us when they weren't obligated to do so, that it warrants a positive review. read more
