ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I went looking for a watch for my wife. The watch was supposed to be new. Sadly what I ended up with was a chop shop of a watch that wasn't new. How did I know? 2 MONTHS after buying the watch, the hands fell off. What kind of luxury watches hands fall off 2 months after buying, that to a NEW WATCH?! The answer? A watch that wasn't sold as promised. After seeing this, I frantically called Sammy. Crickets..... Then, I decided to go to his booth and confront him. He told me it would cost me $300. What absurdity. I take it to the watch dealer. The warranty card was never filled out so they can't service it. Saturday I stopped by Burberry as I wanted to check if they can change battery for two of my watches they suggested to go to a local shop in NY for this kind of service. I end up on 47th street at Global Watches.Tarek self proclaimed watch pro changed the batteries of my Movado , Burberry classic silver and then my small face Burberry when he attempted to close the watch he broke the crystal face of the watch he assume he will fix it by Monday. I went back on Monday the new crystal was sticking out and it wasn't placed properly it appeared that he didn't even bother to send the watch to Burberry for repair. He agreed to fix it again. I also dropped two bracelets for repair and 1/2 pr of earring. I went back today to pick the watch it was the same one of the bracelets was with hanging links and once I stated that I've been in accessories for 15 years and explained what needs to be done he said he will fix it and left me hanging for 15 minutes. He fixed the gold bracelet let's see how long it will last I'm stating that because my other silver bracelet that I bought from Greece is already broken out of the plastic bag. I recorded the entire conversation with him as he start yelling that he is sick and tired of customers like me. I told him that he broke the crystal of the watch and has to send it to Burberry for repair or I'll take it to Burberry and will bring him the bill for reimbursement. He yelled at me " it's a cheapest Burberry watch you can buy big deal it broke be happy I didn't break your head". Exchange of battery is $15 per pc, to solder a bracelet is $15 ( usually soldering of a link is on average no more than $0.50 per pc wholesale and $5 retail) I paid and yet he had the guts to tell me that I still owe him money! We all have those moments where we learn from our mistakes. Unfortunately, this experience with Global Watches was one of those for me. DO NOT COME HERE TO REPAIR ANYTHING. I was disrespected, called a liar, and cheated. I brought in a vintage Rolex Submariner to get adjusted. I use the word "adjusted" because the watch did not require fixing as it was not broken, but rather I needed the bezel piece to be reattached to the watch. Every collector can conduct this adjustment themselves, but my particular bezel insert was being stubborn. I decided to bring it to a "professional" to help. I use this word very loosely because they were far from that. My insert needed to be snapped onto the bezel which then gets snapped back onto the watch. There are three components: insert, bezel, and inner ring. Again, a relatively easy process (think of it as changing a case on an iPhone). Given all this background info, let me detail my experience chronologically. I brought my watch in during my lunch break and was quoted $30 (which I thought was fair given the simplicity), and the service would take half an hour. Half an hour goes by and I retrieve my watch. Everything looks good to the eye and I rush back to work. Once I get back to my office, I inspected the watch in further detail and noticed that there is a layer of clear film around my bezel insert. I realize that the insert piece is not attached tightly because the edge is hovering. The problems began here. 1) With my finger I was able to pry the insert piece off the bezel with minimal force which should not be possible at all. 2) I saw that they used super glue to hold the insert to the bezel. Who in their right minds super glues a vintage watch?!?! 3) I discovered that they shaved the edge of the insert piece to fit the bezel and super glued it. The insert piece now pops off the watch so easily and does not stay in place. The reason I brought this in was because I could not get the insert to snap into place. Snapping it into place locks the insert into the bezel very TIGHTLY. Now my insert pops off with a light tap. 4) My inner ring is missing. When I pop the entire bezel piece off the watch, I discover that the inner ring is missing. As stated above there are 3 components to this entire piece and they somehow forget to put in one of the main pieces. What kind of "professional" forgets to do this?! I go back to the shop after work and brought my concerns to them. They were able to find the missing inner ring and made an excuse that the repairman forgot to put it back. At this point I'm thinking they either tried to steal it knowing these pieces are useful and can be resold. I then argue that my insert is clearly shaved but they continue to deny this was done. The issue at hand is that the insert piece is worth quite a hefty amount. Given it's condition, it would have fetched for at least $1500 which is why I was so upset that they shaved and super glued this piece to the bezel. These pieces are typically worth 1/4 of the entire value of the watch. Halfway into arguing... 5) The shop worker and repairman lose the insert piece. For 10 mins I was left standing while they searched the premise for the insert. Low and behold, it was on the ground adding more scuffs to it. At this point I'm furious and quite convinced this shop is a joke. I asked for my refund of $30 which I got back, but my insert is damaged beyond repair. The owner of the shop approaches to see what the problem is. He inspects my watch while his workers continue to say the repairman is number #1 and knows what he is doing. 6) In the middle of the inspection, the owner himself drops my watch on his table, adding a rather large scratch to the crystal........wow.......I am shell shocked at this point. The owner actually laughs while trying to play it off as if the scratch was already on the crystal. To prove himself he has me take pictures of my watch while he adjusts the lighting so that the scratch marks don't show. Luckily I took photos of the crystal before I got there showing no scratch marks. He eventually admits to his fault and offers to polish the crystal. At this point I am extremely upset. Not only did they shave my insert, super glued it, drop my watch, and forget a crucial component. The owner then starts to call me a liar claiming I brought this watch in already damaged and was trying to "steal" services/money from them. Oh and of course they offer to re-fix my watch but at a higher fee. Why would I pay more money to fix a problem you caused? I asked to see the security camera footage of my service repair and the owner denies. Do not come here at any costs. These people are sloppy, unprofessional, and disrespectful. It is apparent they know nothing about watch repairs. read more

First time working with these guys, very reasonable prices for servicing but unsure of the quality/authenticity of the parts. Have decent access to Rolex dials and bracelets from someone at the entrance of the storefront. When I was there another patron was complaining about work done on his watch. The owner was trying to absolve himself of blame, not a good thing to see. Prices are highly competitive, but really became unwilling to leave my omega with them after seeing how they do business. We have been doing with Sammy for a few years about a year and half ago we purchased a Rolex submariner which we were really excited about. With 6-7 months we started having problems with it, the glow in the dark indicator fell out, the bracelet of the watch broke and then finally it stopped working. we gave it to Sammy to fix right before covid hit and everything shut down my husband was in contact with Sammy confirming frequently that he still had the watch and we would pick it up once safe to travel in to the city and he would confirm everytime that he had the watch. Finally the day comes that we can pick it up my husband calls Sammy and Sammy confirms he has the watch, we show up at the store and he tells my husband that either you or your wife have already picked it up! NOT TRUE. He then says it maybe misplaced or lost and he needs to look for it to come back next week and we will figure it out. We come back the following week and he cannot find it and states he will go 50/50 with us on another watch...this is ridiculous we have lost 8k of our hard earned money and top of that he wants us to give more money to him. Worst experiences ever, Bad business practice we trusted him please don't make the same mistake us. This is a company that you should be extremely wary of. I found a watch for sale they had listed and gave them a call. I spoke to Sam, the owner and another employee named Sam, a woman. The woman was very pleasant and seemed like she genuinely wanted to help me. She and I worked out a deal for the watch. She informed me that the watch was at Las Vegas for a watch show and that she would call them and tell them not to sell and hold for me as we had a deal. The next day I called because I had not heard back. She informed me that the watch was mine, not to worry, she told them to ship asap and that it was sold to me, but they weren't able to get it shipped the previous day. She said on Monday she would have it and she would send me the pictures and take my card for payment. Today, Monday I called several times with no one answering my phone. Then I chose to block my number and surprise! They answered. Sam the owner picked up and I introduced myself again, saying that I am ready to pay and have my watch shipped finally. He flat out told me "Oh, I sold it to someone else for more money" I asked if he was serious and he said "yes, it was more money so that's it" I said we had a deal and I have been waiting for 4 days...you cannot even call me to tell me anything. No response. He could have cared less. All the watch and jewelry organizations that will listen will hear about my experience with this unscrupulous business.
