My new favorite breakfast place in Reno area. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS. We ordered vegetarian omelette (had a fantastic sauce), California eggs Benedict (with added chorizo and they were very generous with the chorizo, which we greatly appreciated and the chorizo had so much flavor), and our little toddler had grilled cheese (they allowed us to sub with wheat bread) and fresh fruit. The food and sauces were all so flavorful and everything was reasonably priced. We sat outside in their beautiful patio area. Everything from the food, the ambiance, the service, and price was fantastic. I can't believe I live in NW Reno and had never been here before! It's tucked away on 4th Street and is not a place people drive by very often. That makes it an ideal place to come for weekend brunch when other restaurants in more heavily trafficked areas get busy. We came with some friends on Saturday morning around 10am and were seated right away. It has a very cozy vibe that almost feels like you're over at a family member's house for a meal. Service was excellent, our waiter came by often and always made sure we were taken care of. They did not have decaf coffee listed on the menu but were happy to make a fresh pot for me! I ordered the Ham and Cheese omelet but subbed the ham for bacon. It came with hashbrowns and toast, or you can get it with mini pancakes! My husband got The Skillet breakfast and it was literally served in a skillet! Same with my friend's Corned Beef Hash. Everyone loved their food, we thought it was all delicious! Great serving sizes, nice staff, solid service. They have a lot of fun things on their menu that I plan to try in the future. And I can't wait to come sit on their patio for brunch this summer! Food was great! My friend and I went for breakfast and we shared two entrees which was perfect for us. We went on a Saturday at 10:30am and waited about 15 minutes. They do have outdoor seating but it was really windy. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Very pleased with this cute little spot. read more

Okay so let's start on there egg Benedict's, so me any wife both ordered a California egg Benedict and a mini pancake for me and her has brown hash on the side. Anyways Everything looks good when it came out I even took pictures on our food before we start eating it. So as I start eating my beautiful egg Benedict I start tasting that it was so SALTY so I called the waitress and told her about the food, she apologize and told me she will bring back a NEW ones. Anyways I waited about good five minutes my food came back , As I noticed the plate was the same as the last one and when I start cutting the English muffin which is under the porch eggs and the vegetables I NOTICED that it was so SAGGY!! I knew from the beginning that it was not fresh bread in the bottom , I also notice that the bread was not full circle because the first one has a BITE on it and second one, what they did is CUT the bread where the bite is and SERVE it back to me!! What a bad service!!! We were so disappointed on this place! We were supposed to go to two chicks or pegs!! But my wife insisted to check this place out!! Terrible service!!! If they serve a fully new food, made it all over again this review could be really good , but they did a short cut! They compromised their QUALITY service VS. serving me the old food!! I will not recommend this place ever!!! Keep this this to your customers and one by one they will not come back!! English muffin is only $3.89/bag in rally's or better yet Walmart $2.65 cents per bag!!! STOP being cheap on your quality!! You will loose all your customers if you are gonna continue doing this!!!! Last minute plan with a group of 8. We planned to grab some brunch on a Sunday afternoon, and we have heard good things about Gloria's so had to try it for ourselves. The drive there you would think the gps is messed up and you are about to drive into a dead end. This is true if you pass it and keep driving, you will hit an escape of wilderness next to the river which is serene and beautiful. Okay back to the restaurant. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, (NOT BAD AT ALL) compared to others in the area. We chose to sit outside although by the road it is nicely closed off by flower pots and large umbrellas covering the tables. A couple of us got the breakfast burritos which were quite large but were very tasty. A couple others got the omelets which I heard were very good. I ordered the chilaquiles which was actually very tasty and the salsa you get on the side makes it even better. The remaining people got the specialty dish and were not a fan as they said the chorizo needed to be more flavorful and blanded out the dish. Blueberry pancakes were great for our shared dessert. It comes in a stack of 2 large pancakes and they were fresh and tasty! Portions were sized great overall and this is a place we will be visiting again. I'm not going to lie we ended up at this place because the 2 places before that I tried going to were way too packed, but boy am I glad that I landed here. This place was fulfilled my cravings 100%. The staff were very friendly and always making sure to see if we needed anything. The food was fantastic. The Huevos Rancheros with the chorizo was probably the best I've ever had. The food was so fresh and authentic. The chilaquiles were also very tasty. The horchata latte is a must have to complement your meal. The atmosphere was so homey and just so comforting. The people are super friendly very homey vibe. I tried the horchata late cold because it was recommended and it was pretty good a 7/10. I ordered chilaquiles I liked that they came with avocado and pico de gallo which is not common. The sauce on the chilaquiles was a 8/10. I did not like the black beans they are just straight black beans no flavor they are placed on the bottom of the plate chilaquiles on top then eggs and cheese. The beans make everything wet and soggy and turn your food black which is nasty. I noticed 2 other people next to me orders the same thing but no beans I should have done the same. Chilaquiles go with fried beans frijoles guisados all the way! Over all 8/10. My bf had the all American hash brown was the best part everything was just plain basic nothing to speak about. 6.5/10. read more

We were visiting from out of town and stopped jere for breakfast. We had our 2 dogs with us and they have a cute little patio that is dog friendly. The service was wonderful and they even brought some water out for the pups. My favorite breakfast order when I am out is chilaquiles, so that is what I ordered. These were the best chilaquiles I have ever had. They were so delicious! My husband loved his food as well, they make their own chorizo and it was amazing as well. Found a new place in town to buy some crack. The #dealer made me pay for the sample, which is fine since the purity was 100%. This Monte Cristo was killer. One of the best in town, top 3 tier contender. Very, very close to the famous @disneyland #montecristosandwich A little savory and sweet dance around. I double checked before ordering that this was the real deal, battered and deep fried, instead of the French Toast version. The assured authenticity and even had fresh brewed ice tea to wash it down, not that bagged sh1t out of a beverage gun. Chicken fried steak is great. Perfect gravy with chunks of sausage, eggs over easy as ordered. But the HASH BROWNS are what knocked everything out of the park! Pure pefection, just a little crispy on the outside, and buttery! Added two dashes of salt and cleaned it up in 60 seconds. My other half had the Chilaquiles, which she stated were some of the BEST she has ever had. So I tried some to verify her claim and it was right. They have a little heat that builds up, but the complex, excellent flavors also make that dish a home run. Just don't mess with the cup of sauce served on the side unless you run with Habaneros or above. Service was good, and going to come back for more items. We arrived a little before 11am on a Monday. We have been to this place before when it was under previous ownership. We parked and walked inside. The inside does not appear much different than the prior establishment. Since it was still comfortable outside, we asked for outside seating and were seated promptly. The outside tables were spaced apart very well which made us more comfortable. We perused the menu and made our choices. My wife decided to get the The Skillet and I chose the patty melt. It felt good to sit in the sunshine but we also appreciated the umbrellas after we sat for awhile and warmed up. Our meals arrived in a timely manner and looked delicious. Visited Gloria's for the first time this morning. My golf buddy and I each had the special, crab cakes eggs benedict. It was excellent. All the components were spot on and cooked perfectly. The cakes were flavorful and loaded with crab. The eggs had the perfect amount of runny yoke. As a bonus the dish also came with a side that I can only describe as a French toast Monte Cristo. The entire presentation was beautiful with a berry drizzle and powered sugar. Service and coffee were both very good. This is a hidden gem. read more

Amazing find! This local run business is a must visit! Everything was delicious! And I mean everything! My family and I cleaned our plates! We were stuffed after, but it was worth it. The food is high quality and you can taste and see it. We even had a visit from the chef! Chef David, is the man behind the food. He came out to make sure everything tasted fine... and we assured him it was much more than fine. Incredibly delicious! If you like plates with a little spice this is the perfect dish for you I'll rate this plate a 8/10 an extra two points if the chips weren't that soggy. This place is so easy to get to and they have a private parking lot so it's not a hustle finding a spot to park. You can also park on the street, free, no meters. When I checked-in to be seated for 5 people, I was told it's about 45-50 mins wait. The lady who checked us in was very welcoming and nice so I told her we would wait outside. As we were waiting, maybe about 5 mins later, she approached us and asked if we mind being outside near the bees, and we said no, so she got us seated right away! I was glad we didn't have to wait too long, and we didn't mind the outside. Estefany was our server and she was a ray of sunshine! She's bilingual and speaks Spanish so it was very helpful and easy for my husband's family to order what they wanted. She was always on top of checking if we were doing good and was constantly checking in to see if we needed more coffee refills or any other things we wanted/needed. The outside is a "chill" spot even if it's next to the street, the ambiance is still great for groups to have conversations. I ended up getting the Monte Cristo, I didn't like it when I ordered it from another restaurant but the one they make here at Gloria's was sooooo good! I finished the whole thing! Each layer was filled with ham, mustard sauce and cheese paired with delicious fruits and raspberry sauce. My husband's eggs benedict was also delicious. The hollandaise sauce, a mix of egg yolks, butter, and lemon juice, provided a tangy and buttery contrast to the eggs and meat. Overall, Gloria's was a great place! We have been looking for a new breakfast place and have chosen this as our go-to after just one meal. The Macho Macho Tacos were so flavorful; everything tasted authentic and handmade. Coffee was great. Service was attentive. We spoke with the owners and they are wonderful and so kind. The husband has been a chef for decades and it shows. I've dined four times at Gloria's Cafe and they never disappoint. I've had the Cabo Omelette every time and I don't know when i will change things up. Shrimp in every bite!!! The Swiss Cheese is placed on top of the omelette and then covered in Hollandaise Sauce. The end result is perfectly stringy Swiss. The service is phenomenal.
