I think average aptly describes this place. The prices are average and the food was average (well maybe slightly above average). The service however was SLOOOOOOW. It's probably the slowest service i've ever gotten at a sushi place. Honestly I don't really know what else to write...the menu is pretty standard, the food was pretty decent, and the service was ok (besides the super slow part). I can definitely see this as being a "go to" sushi joint for the locals but I wouldn't drive out of my way to eat here. Random thought: I've eaten at several highly rated sushi places in NorCal recently and honestly they were all probably a little worse than Go Go Sushi....especially if you factor in the substantially higher prices. Came here with a friend after a long day of class. Food was okay, but that is to be expected from a revolving sushi restaurant. The quality of the fish is okay at best. The salmon fillet that I ordered had a strong fishy smell. My major gripe about the place was that the service was horrible. The place is incredibly understaffed. There was only one waitress working at the time and the manager was running back and forth trying to fulfill orders. GoGo Sushi is the best affordable sushi place in town. Often times I'm hesitant to eat somewhere that's got mildly priced sushi. However, GoGo Sushi is DELICIOUS. Everything tastes fresh, the food presentation is always nice. And there's a wide variety of menu items to keep your non-sushi friends happy too! Plus, they just started making Poke Bowls for lunch time! I would give this five stars; however, the service is fairly inconsistent. If you're there during a rush, expect to sit there staring at your chopsticks and napkin for a LONG time. If it's quiet, you'll be well taken care of. I've been here a few times now and my expectations were let down. This place is super reasonable but it shows in the quality of their sushi. Knowing what to order here is key; and while some don't see anything wrong with that, I prefer a sushi joint where anything you order is delicious and fresh, right? This place is not very big and fills up quickly. The service is also a little slow when it's crowded-no big deal though. Their premium rolls are well-priced and the best things to order here. The crunchy roll, caterpillar roll, alaskan roll and other premo rolls are really good. They also have a section of super cheap sushi (4 pcs for like $2) but it's not very fresh. In particular, I find that the yellowtail one from this portion of the menu isn't very good. However, these smaller, cheaper rolls come with rice wrapped around the type of fish you get only; there isn't additional crab meat which is actually a good thing because the crab mix in sushi rolls is what packs on the calories. The staff here are pretty confused all the time. They are definitely overwhelmed when it's packed here and it shows. I don't mistake this confusion for rudeness, but it definitely take away from your meal because you almost feel guilty asking for things. I will probably continue to come here and be selective with what I order but just be careful what you choose here. read more

Throughout quarantine, we've ordered take out from Gogo about 6 times, (yes, we love(d) it THAT much) and even though the food quality was not particularly up to their normal standards we continued giving them the benefit of the doubt. We assumed the sushi wasn't as good when you take it home. When we called in to order once, we asked if they had changed owners recently because we were curious as to why there had been such a drastic change. The answer we received was "new owner? uh, no.. we have the same owner". Unfortunately the last 2 times we ate here was pretty lack luster. The rolls are not only smaller than normal, you can visibly tell the fish is NOT FRESH, and the rice is dense and makes up the majority of the roll. The food was literally getting worse every time we brought it home. My family and I then reached out to a family friend (the one who originally introduced us to the restaurant) because they used to be pretty close with the owners. They informed us that they sold the place about 6 months ago to different owners. Yup, just around the right time we noticed something was off. Not only am I super bummed that one of my favorite sushi places went to complete but I'm just kind of upset on how they had their employees lie about the change. It was very obvious from the food, and any person who was a regular here is very likely to smell their bs from a mile away. Yes, the fish smells that bad. But so does Kabuki in Pasadena, Tokyo Wako in Arcadia, and Maki & Sushi in Arcadia. Today was not that. We waited to eat for an hour and a half. Felt sorry for the chef's too to have top keep track, what if the place is full? Sounds like chaos, but I would not mind actually see it in action. Came here on a recommendation for cheap sushi and for the most part, really enjoyed my meal. Their selection is pretty big and the waiter said that a lot of their rolls are customizable so you can switch or leave out ingredients you don't like which I think is very cool. Anyways, I got the Colorado roll which has tuna pieces on the outside and salmon, avocado, and cucumber on the inside. I really liked it and thought that they gave a generous amount of fish. This roll itself was enough to make me full. However, my sister got a rice-less roll and for about $10 they only gave her a few measly pieces. As soon as her order arrived, we were both shocked at how small her portion was because in the menu images, it looked like it could make for a full meal. Therefore, I would not recommend getting the riceless/ soy paperless rolls because they come in very small portions that I don't think is worth the price. Also, not everything you find in the Yelp images will actually be on their menu. My sister was eyeing a particular item in one of the uploaded images on Yelp, yet it wasn't on the menu. When we asked about it, the server said that they custom made a few attractive dishes at some point just to take images of to post to Yelp. This doesn't really make sense to me but may be a marketing tactic they use. Overall, their sushi rolls are good and well priced. Their service is also good but beware of portions-- some menu items come in smaller portions than others and don't expect to find everything you see on their Yelp page on their actual menu. read more

Honestly disappointed. It has fairly good reviews so I was hoping for better quality sushi. It was sub par at best and didn't taste fresh whatsoever. When I'm spending $70 on two rolls and some nigiri, I'm honestly expecting nicer pieces of fish. Came here for a quick prebirthday dinner couple months ago and I feel like I should say something about this place. It was kind of hard to find the restaurant itself because of where its situated, but there are fairly good parking there. The place is quite small with a few tables to one side and a sushi bar on the other. Pretty good sushi from my experience. For the price, it really can't be beat. The spicy tuna rolls had just the right amount of spicy. The salmon, yellowtail, and tuna nigiri were all delicious. Portions were big and filling. The specialty rolls were huge! By the time I got half way through it, I couldn't eat anymore. The only complaint is that for my party of 10, we weren't very well accommodated. With the lack of available seating, and them overbooking us, we ended up having to move from our table to the sushi bar midway through our dinner.
