I have ordered from this location three times including tonight. The first time blew my socks off! The pizza was amazing! The next two times was not the same. Tonight I ordered a personal pizza with potato wedges. The wedges were delivered in a small pizza box with no foil, paper, or anything to keep them warm so by the time they got to me they were luke warm. The cheese on the pizza was cool, like it had been sitting for a while. The crust was doughy and under cooked. The pizza itself did not taste good at all. I used to eat Godfather's Pizza as kid and remembered it being the best pizza around. I decided to try it again since one just opened by my house, but that was a huge mistake!!! I ordered delivery with one of the deals wick was miss leading. The deal said it would feed 6-8 people, but when the order showed up it was a personal pan pizza, a medium pizza and 5 wings with the a dessert. It looks like if feeds 2-4 people. All of this was $35!!! Way over priced for the quality and quality. I will NEVER eat here again and will NOT recommend this establishment to anyone. I've been wanting to go to Godfathers since they opened back up here in Colorado. Growing up, we'd make special trips to Cheyenne specifically to go to Godfather's. My sister was in town, and I was hankering for some great pizza, so we loaded my son up and went to this location (way closer than Cheyenne). The staff was friendly (even when my son broke a plate) and the food was good. They weren't very busy, so it was nice and quiet. There doesn't seem to be very many places where you can sit down, order a pizza and enjoy it in a pizza place setting. It was great and we will be going back!! read more

Great experience on OPENING DAY! Yes the lines were out of the door and the hour long wait to get through the line and to our seat was worth it. The pizza was great and the overwhelmed staff did a great job on the grand opening of the Metro region's first GF in over 20 years. The restaurant has a smallish dining area but seats about 80 people, not too bad. Very clean inside and modern. A little more expensive then I remember, but worth it on a quarterly basis. Meh, this place has received a ton of hype since they used to be in Denver years ago. The first week they were open you could hardly get to the front door. Two weeks later you could walk in at dinner time and get a table for six. Not knowing that I ordered a couple of pies and some other goodies for takeout. When I arrived the place was pretty dead. Mind you this was at dinner time during the week. The food was ready before the quoted time online thus the food had already been setting. When I got home I dug in! The pie reminded me of Little Caesars, just a very weird, over processed crust. The toppings weren't bad but they weren't anything special either. Their monkey bread was pretty gross. Even after sitting on the counter overnight this pizza looked almost the same as it did when I picked it up, that's not right. Man this used to be one of my favorite pizza places as a kid! I have told my wife about it for years.... tonight we ordered some and the anticipation was killing me! It gets here and well.... it's horrible. The margarita pizza was a grease pit! The cheese pizza was barely covered in cheese! You could see a lot of sauce and very little cheese... to top it off, the bread sticks where undercooked and tasted of nasty oven. I'm disappointed to say the least and now my wife and kids are looking at me like, "we shoulda just ordered blackjack's!", especially for the price! I had been hearing a lot of good things and finally gave in and decided to try the food. I arrive and surprised to find an empty restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. Red flag right there.. but pushed forward overviews the menu and got a pep/sausage with jalapeno and cream cheese. Sat and waited until I recognized one one the employees and we exchanged some banter. Before I could continue a conversation he runs in the back and stays there the entire time. My pizza comes out and I just sit and eat and enjoy the quietness. The pizza was ok but the price for quality doesn't add up. I highly recommend parrys over this place if you're gonna pay for a high end pizza you may as well enjoy the texture and flavor behind it. As for the employee, I remember he worked at Anthonys pizza on 112th and Colorado. He would tell stories of what he and the staff would do to customers food and ranch in the backroom. This was honestly more delicious than I expected. We ordered the jumbo pizza, I figured it's an xl pizza size and indeed it's a big daddy. We typically eat one xl and an additional large pizza(Family of seven) this time we even had left overs on the jumbo didn't get a chance to even try the large pizza hahaha they are very well proportioned and crunchy crust. All topping were to die for. So happy we finally listened to our friends and family since they always recommended it but were afraid to try something new and be disappointed. read more

I ordered from the Thornton location this past Sunday. We took advantage of the 12.99 deal and I was looking forward to my pie. I had no problem with the pick up, it was fast and easy. I really should have passed the deal by and just gotten my usual Taco pie instead. The crust was a bit doughy and the over abundance of sauce was much Spicier than what I'm used to which made it seem "off" somehow. Maybe because there was so much of it?? We ordered the sausage and pepperoni and I believe that the pork sausage was replaced with the Italian sausage by mistake. I was not happy with that at all. Overall, I was very disappointed with this experience. I will give this location another chance however, I think I will go back to the Taco pie and use the dine-in service instead of the carry-out. I'm nervous to eat my food because of the etiquette at this location. One of the employees was not wearing a mask, the second employee handed me my drink cups with her fingers inside the cup. I was told my food would be 25 minutes and it took 40 minutes. Just love Godfathers! I order a taco pizza every Tuesday when the pizza is $15.99 for a large. Order extra packets of taco sauce if you like a lot of sauce on your slices. I only wish they had the pizza buffets for lunch on weekdays. So happy they started delivering. read more

Such a friendly atmosphere. It's nice to see people take pride in what they do! Horrible! This this the second time we have ordered from here. First time pizza has no or little sauce. The second time not only did we get a crappy pizza, but we were treated like we did not exist by the employees. We walked in and two employees are talking about the tv. They look at us and walk away. Seriously.?! !Then they came back and ignore us again. We finally say "hello" how are you. And she (Kelsey) says "I'm tired... " unbelievable!!! Tired of not being helped I ask for the manager and turns out one if the other people that was standing 6 feet away watching all this was the manager! All he can do is mumble. "Sorry". Finally they hand us the pizza. And of course I'm not going to tip but the spoiled brat Kelsey sees this and makes a noise right in front of me. I will never ever go back to this place. This review is purely about customer service, not the food itself... My family and I went into Godfathers Pizza fairly excited. I hadn't had it in decades, and was pretty stoked to have it in Colorado after all these years. Arriving, we decided what we'd order and I happily did so with the friendly staff up front. Besides pizza, our order included two basic side salads from the menu. After about 20-25 minutes, or pizzas arrived without the salads. When I went back to the counter to inquire about them, one of the clerks gestured to the unoccupied salad prep station and said that no one was manning that area so she'd make them. No problems there. After a few minutes, she came by the table to verify the order was correct before she started making them. About 15 minutes of checking over our shoulders, we still didn't have the salads. We asked another clerk to see a manager, who ultimately came to our table several minutes later, right behind the two small salads. After inquiring why he was needed by us, we (calmly and politely) explained that we found it a bit odd and pretty unreasonable to receive the salads only after asking for them a couple times nearly an hour after ordering. The manager became defensive (blaming a short staff calling in for Father's Day) and throwing his hands up as he walked away saying that there was nothing he could do about it over and over. Unfortunately, there was an easy thing he could have done...apologize. A simple "I'm sorry," or "I'm sorry, we're a new location and we dropped the ball on this" would have gone so far. The missing food was a basic oversight that the manager made so much worse. Customer service is king, and when an issue is brought to light, it's best to just apologize because it likely won't cost you customers. While the pizza was great to have again after all these years (tasted just like I remember!), the manager's dismissal of us doesn't make me want to journey all the way back to Thornton to try them again anytime soon. read more

Let me start the pizza was just like a remember it, that is a good thing. How ever that was the only good thing about this visit. Its been 2 weeks since the opening, and it seems for lack of better words they can not get their shit together! We ordered and sat down and waited 1 hour for our pizza, we also ordered some apple caramel desert thing more on that later. When I noticed the clientele which made me think damn did they just flyer a trailer park as the majority of patrons were hill billish... Then I reflected on my child hood were we hillbillies? After an hour the Jumbo meat overload arrived and it looked great, it was not the best pizza I have ever had but it was satisfying! The problem though was that caramel apple desert thing did not come out and the two teenage kids who incessantly came bye to ask if everything was OK had no clue how to ask the cooks about our desert. Eventually the Manager came over and got us out Desert which honestly we could of done with out as it tasted like it was from CiCi's. Overall this was a 2 hour affair getting, I am glad I went so I could get it out of my system but since it is stupid far from my house I more then likely will not be back as I know of about 1,257 Pizza spots between there and here that are better and actually understand service! read more

I was all about trying this place out. Boy was I disappointed. From the moment I walked in, it was all downhill. There was a lady yelling at everyone. If you were picking up an order, she was barking orders for people to go outside. There is no direction s to how to order or what to do. When I asked the cashier do we sit or order first, she just stared at me. I felt rushed through the ordering process. When we went liking fo a place to sit, the tables were not wiped and looked gross. Then while eating, you have a employee constantly asking If you're okay or need anything. It's super annoying. Pizza was okay, but not great, which is sad because whenever I head back home we grab Godfathers and its on point everytime. The dough seemed under cooked (normally my favorite part of a good Godfathers pizza), and the sauce was very light where it literally tasted like dough with cheese on it. Here and there a bite tasted like it "should" and those couple times I was very happy, but unfortunately it didn't happen often. Godfathers Pizza was the bomb when I was a kid and I was excited for their return to the metro area. Sadly Godfathers Pizza of today just isn't as good. I ordered a large meat combo for $30 which is priced about double of what their pizzas should be priced at. It was bland, nothing to get excited about. There are plenty of great pizza joints in the metro area and if Godfathers doesn't step their game up when it comes to pricing, specials & flavor, they won't last very long. They are the new kid on the block and everybody is excited but let's see the reviews a year from now. I drove miles to check them out and there won't be a return trip. I'm from CT, so I'm real picky about my pizza (nobody beats good CT pizza). This place has the best tasting pizza in Thornton in my opinion. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is the staff was a bit un informed about the questions I had. ie, what is the beer special, password for WiFi. They over charged me for the beer I ordered and when I confronted them about it, they gave me a free beer. So a bit of a learning curve for just opening, but when the staff is more informed, this place could be five stars. I will be coming back. read more

This is easily the best pizza I have had in my life, and that's saying something! Today I went in with my family, and we ordered a Taco pizza (not baja taco pizza, just taco), a chicken italian ( I think that's what it's called, but it has tomatos, spinach, sausage, and chicken), and a caesar salad. The salad was average, but the dressing was awesome! The taco pie is freaking LOADED with lettuce, tomato, beef, and different cheeses, so eating it with a fork is definitely the way to go if you're not into being messy. The chicken italian is especially tasty, I found. It's not overload with toppings, and you get a nice basil flavor with every bite. I would recommend this to any pizza lover! read more

After ordering dinner for my family, the dinner was received, but with the wrong wings. Ordered barbeque wings, but received buffalo wings. Can't eat anything that spicy. When I called, they said bring them back and would exchange. Well they delivered and didn't even offer to bring the correct wings, anyway, took them back, then they brought out "Barbeque wings, and said have a nice day", well once I got home, I found they only covered the Buffalo wings with barbeque sauce.
