I've tried quite a few of their donuts over the years including the glazed, red velvet, and chocolate are all really good. But the real star of the show is their cinnamon roll. Seriously if you get one in the morning while it's still warm, it practically melts in your mouth. It's hands down my favorite thing on the menu. They also serve regular drip coffee, which pairs perfectly with the pastries. One thing to keep in mind is that they don't accept Apple Pay, and there's a $5 minimum for credit card purchases. Points for being open later than most donut shops. I like that they still had a variety of donuts to choose from eve at 6 pm. My favorite kind is maple bar but at this place it just was too sweet. This is a local "Mom & Pop" donut shop that we frequent as we'd like to support local as much as we can. Conveniently on the way to school, I sometimes stop by in the morning or a treat for us or the office. They have the usual donuts - glazed, old fashioned, donut holes, bars, apple fritters and sometimes seasonal decorated ones too. This place is mostly a quick drop in, get your donuts and coffee and go. I've never tried other items on the menu as it looks like they're known and their jam are donuts. The owners are very friendly and nice. Always have a cheery smile on their face as we walk in. When I walk in, I feel like I've also traveled back in time when things were much simpler. There's no Apple Pay. They have the old school menu boards because it's that original. Hardworking small business owners who are just serving up fluffy fresh donuts for the community. Most other customers are people on their way to the office, to the construction site or other places they got to be. Grab a donut and a coffee and be on their way. Stop by if you want to try. Super friendly "mom and pop" donut shop tucked away in a small plaza in the farthest corner of Mira Mesa Blvd, in the same plaza as Loving Hut. The parking lot is small and can get very busy around mealtimes. Pro tip: The plaza below is connected to this one via a staircase. So if it's packed here, you can drive down to the adjacent plaza to park there and walk up the concrete staircase to get your daily steps in and offset the donut calories. Haha! Anywho, this is a donut shop review so I should actually write about donuts right?! I would categorize this as a traditional donut shop. Service is friendly and not pushy. They serve tasty and fresh donuts. I have visited multiple times and ordered different donuts and can report I have not taken home a single stale or yucky donut yet. Yay! They offer a selection of about a dozen traditional donuts and donut holes, with a daily special donut usually available. I should note that this shop also sells coffee and bottled drinks. In the corner of the shop there is a small set of old school vending machines, with gum balls, stickers and toys. My girls were delighted to discover they sold "Happy Bunny" stickers featuring a set of words to create your own custom sarcastic message. There are several tables set up inside that are well-spaced, if that is a concern. Just outside, there is a bench and a table. It's a bit of a drive for me to visit, but the donuts from this shop are the same ones we would eat after attending mass in person so there's a nostalgic factor to it for us. Solid little donut shop! The have quite a few donuts to choose from. They're nicely displayed on the wall behind the counter (see photos). The owner and workers are all super nice. Whenever I bring my son in, they place his donut in a small little bag and give it to him and he loves that. It's the little things that make this place a frequent stop for us. The quality of the donuts are solid. Unfortunately I'm not a huge fan of their maple icing, and maple bars are my go-to donut. Tastes a little too artificial to me. Also, they are sometimes out of or low on certain donuts. Nothing worse than a place not having a specific donut when you went down their specifically for that said donut. For example, my daughter loves the donut holes. We came in around 8:15am and they were almost completely out of donut holes in EVERY flavor :( Because of those two things above, this shop gets a solid 4 stars. read more

I unfortunately missed my employees birthday due to the crisis we have been working through. My team is essential staff and they have been coming in everyday to take care of our patients. I needed to do something to keep up team morale and to celebrate when we can. This donut shop is near my house and I came in right when they opened to ensure I would avoid people. When I walked in he had two tables blocking the counter for the 6ft distancing rule. I picked out my dozen and slid my cash across the two tables to the owner. He slid my box of donuts across to me. There was only one person outside with coffee. The owner was very nice, taking great precaution with my order. We did not do much talking just in and out order. The team was happy, the donuts were a hit! Very fresh, soft and flavorful. They had the classics, simple glazed, sprinkles, chocolate cream filled, maple bars etc... I was happy to support local business during this time as they are the hardest hit. Just practicing safe distancing and limiting times. I visit this location way more often than necessary especially for the amazing blueberry donuts. I've resorted to even getting the donut holes sometimes so I feel less guilty but whatever, they're amazing. I don't even like cake donuts and can't get enough of these! The donuts are maybe $1.50 each and there's a $5 minimum to use your debit card so you can get about 3 donuts for $5-$6. I usually come here at around 2-6 and the donuts are always soft and once they appeared to be out of certain flavors but they grabbed them from the back which was nice.
