    Fried rice cakes.

Golden Flower Veggies, been here twice, so had to get a review in. This restaurant is not flashy and blends into the neighborhood but it is decent place for vegetarian Vietnamese food lovers. Upon entering, we were quickly greeted. To the left is a trinket corner tucked near the entrance. Then, you'll see a to-go counter--stocked with fresh premade dishes like soups, tofu entree and snacks. Super convenient if you're in a rush but still want something homemade and tasty. If you buy 4 boxes it's $20. I decided to order 2 items to try and compare to another shop that I also support. We sat in and ordered from the menu. The food is flavorful, portions are good, and the nice lady is kind (but speaks limited English). Parking can be a bit tight in their private lot. We ordered the special noodle soup and fried rice cake! Both were delicious and worth trying again!! I personally like the rice cakes blended with eggs and topped with fresh chilies. I'll have to come back again to try other menu items.

I called in an order of vegetarian crab and egg noodle soup. I didn't expect to come into this restaurant and see a to go food counter with a variety of foods and treats. I picked up some sweet potato, dessert and jackfruit as a result. The menu is extensive and focuses on vegetarian Vietnamese cuisine. We will definitely come back to try more items. There is a private parking lot. Casual. Good service. Please come and create your own experience.

Great & healthy food, nice service here If you're vegetarian, this restaurant should be trying.

Complete 180. Almost entirely different experience last time I was here. My family stopped going here because the woman that serves here was completely rude. She seems to be the only server and I'm assuming she must be a family friend or relative of the business. She was extremely rude last time with a very bad attitude. We complained last time and she begged for us not to tell the owner. She must've been having a bad day. That totally changed. When we gave them another chance today, she was a completely different person. She was very nice, friendly, attentive, and very helpful. She probably remembers us from last time. She was the only one working the front as usual and doing everything. She was taking phone orders, hosting and seating guests, packing togo orders, cashing people out, and serving all at the same time. That may be the reason why she gave us bad service last time, but still wasn't an excuse to treat us badly. We ordered takeout and decided to also dine in because everything looked so good. The togo section had a good variety, looked fresh, and had a good deal that day. For 4 items + 1 bonus item = 5 food items for a total of $20. I thought was a decent deal and we ended up getting 2 sets of orders! We also ordered our usual dining in. The plates this time however I noticed has gotten smaller. The portions were a bit skimpy this time around. The restaurant also looked to have added a lot more items inside the shop and outdoor like a consignment store. They were selling tons of dry goods, fruits, clothing, candy, and variety of products. Overall, experience was A LOT BETTER than last time. The service was good and a pleasant experience. The woman server was a lot nicer, brought us everything we needed, and was very polite! Not sure what happened, but glad we gave them another try. My only concern with the place as others have mentioned, is the tight and limited parking space. It's extremely small, and usually full. The location is also always busy next to a pho restaurant and near a corner block and positioning of the parking can also be tricky. AND the other complaint is that the restaurant does charge for WATER. Yes, plain tap water. I think they charge the 50cents for the cup/inventory they use as they don't use kitchen cups, only togo plastic cups.

This is a great place for vegetarians since everything on the menu is vegetarian friendly. Since this is a Vietnamese establishment, everything they offer is a vegetarian version of common Vietnamese dishes such as Bun Bo Hue, Phoenix, Vermicelli, etc. Everything we ordered was delicious, but I think the Hu Tieu (noodle soup) was a bit bland. I recommend the following dishes: #31. Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio ($13.95), #9. Goi Mit - jackfruit/lotus salad ($14.95), and #10. Mi Xao Gion ($14.95). Service was great and the restaurant is spacious. The parking lot is a bit small, but if you come early, there will be no problem.

They have a really good com tam plate here! I also got the bot chien, which was good if that's your thing. The market inside is nice for to-go options and other snacks. The ladies working there are really sweet and helpful.

Finally had a chance to come to this place...Parking lot is really small so I never thought about coming here but it is around the corner almost from where i go every month so I walked there from the parking lot where Da Vien is at.... What i liked most is unlike many Vegan or Vegetarian places they don't over salt their foods to make up for lost flavors.... Fresh and refreshing.... Nice staff and let me sit even though my friend wasn't there yet.... My friend got the Duck Noodle Soup...which she enjoyed. I got the Bun Bi Cha Gio....which is a dry noodle dish which you normally would pour fish sauce over...I'm not sure what the vegetarian sauce is made of but it was good... They have a counter area with display of things to go which I plan to get some the next time I stop by.

Excellent, delicious vegetarian foods. Buy 4 items and get 1 free for only $20 (plus tax). You can dine in with large selections of various vegetarian foods. Courteous / friendly service from the female owner. It is cluttered, dark inside. Credit cards accepted with no extra fee. Parking is difficult because of small lot.

Really god vegetarian food. The only one in town i like. I ordered Bun Tam bi. It's very authentic flavors. And we ordered bun mam also. We also tried their corn milk it was tasty and not too sweet

Of course there are re numerous options to eat out in garden grove but we wanted leaning something towards vegetarian and we found a good spot. Fortunately we were all hungry and were the only ones when we came it. The inside is spacious and imagine on busier days or busier time of the day it probably get a lot of people coming in and out. Each of us ordered our plates and they came out pretty quick which was a good thing since we all were hungry. Everything was tasteful, two soup bowls and I got a flat rice noodles dish. Told them all veggies but they gave me combo. Guess they wanted that extra dollar but it's fine because it was good regardless. I forgot which bowl that they ordered but one of them was slightly bland. Either way the food was good, the place was nice, can't imagine how parking is when it gets busy. Service was the type of service you get when you are in that area if you know what I mean. So don't think too much of that. Good enough I guess you can say. Do recommend it though and even with so many options out there in GG I would still go back again.

Com Bo Luc Lac. fantastic meal comes with rice. The restaurant is very clean and very hospitable. Bonus if you go after 4 PM they have happy hour. All entrées are $10.

Run!!! Don't walk. Lady said deal is for about 2 months but to be smart don't rely on that time frame and delay coming here. They have a discount right now for $10/meal (dine in only, no to go order) everyday from 4-8pm. What a steal!!! For seniors 60/+ years they give you a discount anytime of the day everyday. For food to go items it's but 4 get 2 free. So many deals I'll definitely be taking advantage of this for as long as it lasts. It's good way to enjoy a meal out with family without the hefty price. We had such a good meal here that I even order some to go with me. My favorite is the duck noodle soup.

Golden Flower Vegetarian Restaurant came highly recommended by my cousin as one of her family favorites. On one of our larger family outings, we decided to come here to try their vegetarian interpretation of beloved traditional Vietnamese dishes. They are located on a fairly busy road, but they have their own small parking lot for customers only. If you're lucky you might find parking. Also, you can tell they cater to the local Vietnamese Buddhist community, because their menu discloses that they are able to omit onion or garlic for the super intense who believe onions and garlic are foods that excite passion. They were quickly to accommodate our large group of 10 by combining 2 tables. Please note there is an 18% service charge for parties of 6 or more. Huge family order! There were 4 Banh Xeos ($14.95/each) for the table to share, Bun Bo Hue ($13.95), Bun Rieu ($13.95), 2 Bun Thit Cha Gio ($13.95), Com Bo Luc Lac ($14.95), Bun Tofu Xao Xa ($14.95), Pho ($13.95), and my Banh Canh ($13.95). For drinks, there were mostly waters ($0.50/each NOT FREE), 2 Sua Dau Nanh ($3.00/each), Dau Xanh La Dua ($5.00) and 3 including one for me Rau Ma ($5.00/each). They forgot my banh canh with the original order, so they had to ask the kitchen to rush it. I munched on some of the shared banh xeos. The exterior was not as crispy as I liked and the filling was mainly bean sprouts. I'm not a fan of bean sprouts so I was removing most of the filling. When my food arrived it was less than impressive. If you are not familiar with banh canh it is a Vietnamese udon noodle made with tapioca so it has a slippery slurpiness. The bowl had imitation proteins, tofu, mushrooms carrots, broccoli and onions. The broth was not as flavorful as other vegetarian restaurants I have been to. I really did not like the imitation proteins. The tofu, mushrooms and onions were okay. I ate the broccoli to be healthy. My aunt was so funny she kept telling me she can make every dish better. It's true though. She really does. The meal was edible but it would be hard for me to come back when there are better vegetarian options out there.

    Yes

Are they open during the pandemic? We've tried calling over the past three weeks at different times and no answer. We miss their food! Thank you!!

They are open for take out only now. I phone ordered today. Their hot deli section and specials on soups Canh Chua/Kho Qua etc are available weekends only for now.

Do the dishes that say pork/beef/etc actually have that or is it a substitute?

The restaurant is 100% vegetarian. All the dishes contain meat substitutes.

Unless you have an allergy, why does it matter?

Is the food mostly vegetarian or vegan?

Mostly vegan! Their "egg" noodle is eggless!!

The meat is fall off the bone tender and has a more fatty flavor to it. It usually sits in some broth that absorbs that beefy and fatty flavor from the bone. A great addition to any bowl of pho.
