The app for this place is really efficient at getting the order of your choice. They also have occasional promos which actually drew me to this location in the first place. Parking is available underground and can be validated if you're there for fifteen minutes or an hour or something like that. Just ask the guys across the counter. We were craving tapioca pearls on Friday night and found this place open after 9 pm. So surprised to see that they have the Hong Kong style egg waffle -- we were weary whether it would taste like the Hong Kong real deal, and I would say it's close enough for someone who grew up in HK! I wish I can get 0 star if there option. 1. No social distancing. People walk in walk out with our mask. No control how many people in store at once. 2. Staff who making drink. Don't wear glove. Wtf. The items are a little over priced but delicious. I have tried over 10 drinks and have been blown away. However, their customer service needs a huge improvement. When you talk to one person at the counter, 2-3 others are just standing in the background watching. I'd rather they take the next customer then listen to my order. Secondly, it's very noisy. I understand you need blenders for your drink, but it's almost impossible to have a chat with whoever you are with or when giving your order. Probably not the best place to socialize. Lastly, the staff needs to be less judgmental. I came to pick up my online order and they asked me my online receipt. I told them my order number but they asked me to show my receipt and then matched my drinks to the order. It was humiliating because I felt they didn't trust me. There were two ladies and they were checking item by item and than conversing to the other staff in their language. I noticed they didn't do this for ANYONE else during my 10-15 minutes. Ordering ahead on their app is a breeze. My drink is always ready for me when they say it will be. The store looks clean and well maintained. My go-to drink is their purple sweet potato milk tea. It reminds me of Japanese candies that I've had a heard time finding stateside. My husband is a fan of the winter melon. This is my go to boba in the area. The service is quick and the drinks are refreshing. My favorites are the winter melon milk foam and coffee milk tea. I also love the white boba that is more crunchy than the regular boba, but is made of seaweed so it's way less calories than regular boba! read more

Thank goodness we have a gong cha in the area! My first ever gong cha was in Manila in 2016 & at the time there were barely any gong cha stores in the States. I got the dirty brown sugar coffee milk tea. I've never had it but it's now one of my favorites! I know you guys have just opened but when I was in the store absolutely NO ONE was following the social distancing guidelines. There are stickers on the floor to determine where to stand and I guess since it was packed no one was following. I HIGHLY suggest you guys have someone patrolling the line because this could be a factor on why people will not be visiting your store. read more

I always judge drinks by the quality (no powdery taste, soft chewy boba, ice ratio, no sugar options, etc). This place is soooo much better than Kung fu tea. Unlike some other boba shops, Gong Cha doesn't use powder for their taro drinks. I personally like their milk teas and lately my go to drink has been the taro milk tea with red beans. read more

Great tea place - the flavors are really good, I've been there with the family multiple times and we keep finding new things to try. Love that I can get red bean instead of bubbles - so magical. I drive out of my way for this place and it's worth it. We have so many tea shops around (shout out to Eden and a little shop in Vienna on Maple) but this shop is on my top 5. This is truly a late review. I'm glad to have a gona cha opened right next to the Lotte asian market. It'll be my guilty pleasure after an hour or so of grocery shopping. Upon entering, the place is spacious. The table are still spacing far apart enough for social distancing. I ordered the black sugar milk tea with tapioca. It was quite yummy, and sweet. The bubbles are chewy but not sweet enough, however, my drink's sweetness made up for it. I also got the wintermelon green milk tea with 3 different toppings, it's my usual go to. The drink itself was delicious. The price is your average bubble tea price around the area. Overall, I would return, since it's on the way and convenient when I want to have a bubble tea fix. read more

Stopped by on a Saturday night. Ordered the Marble Strawberry Milk tea. This has the potential to be very good but they were a little heavy handed on the condensed milk. Writing this review late, but we went to Gong Cha opening week because we were excited to have one in the area. We took advantage of the buy 2 get 1 free special that had been going on, and I tried the pearl black milk tea. My mom got the green tea smoothie with red bean and was impressed that it stayed nice and thick during our entire 20 minute drive home! My drink was also delicious. I saw that there were a ton of purple sweet potato items on the menu, and I would love to try them in the future (especially the purple sweet potato smoothie). I'll have to come back! One note, though, is that they don't take American Express. Overall, Gong Cha had tasty drinks, and I'd love to come back in the future! read more

I had a terrible experience here and feel like i was discriminated against. The clerk only spoke Chinese and didn't appear to understand English. My drink tasted like water, even with the 100% sugar that i DIDN'T ask for, and I was forced to pay a tip that i didn't authorize. I tried to argue this with the clerk and she just acted like what i said didn't matter. I would not visit this place if you have dark skin and can't speak Chinese. Hopefully this is an odd occurrence and not typical for this company. I won't be back. read more

1 hour wait and there really isn't that many people. There is a line, I'd say about 5-6 people ahead of you. The guy taking orders, black hair with glasses, is so unbelievably slow. He moves like there is absolutely no urgency. It's rude....he's aware that people are waiting. The rest of the staff seems to move fast. He's the cause of the delay. He takes the orders, puts the stickers on each cup VERY slowly and then puts toppings on each cup, then arranges his work station and then that's when he'll take your order. Dude there is a line....MOVE please. To the management: people left the line because of this guy. So that's potential sale that was lost. The person ahead of me commented "is there someone else who can take our order other than this guy". I'm not the only one who noticed this guy's sloth-like moves. I lived in CA where there is a Gong Cha in practically every city. The staff always moves very fast. And they make the drink so good too, perfect each time. Since this is a franchise, it might be a good idea to take notes from successful branches on how they operate, adapt best practices. The lines are longer in CA because it's almost always warm there but the longest we've ever waited is 10 mins. This is absolutely ridiculous. Some people left the line and couldn't wait anymore. This is the first time I did not leave a tip. The Gong Cha needs better staff, better training. read more
