We were so excited to try this place. Worst experience we've had in years! The pancakes were so undercooked that it was literally batter in the center. (I've never seen anything like that before!) The French toast had good flavor, but it was extremely undercooked and still cold in the center! The coffee was cold. We waited 20 minutes for new food and the pancakes were burnt to a crisp and the French toast was soggy (but not as bad as previous order, which was inedible.) Our server was nice, but it took over 10 minutes for her to run our credit card and after that experience we were already running late for our plans. read more

Wow! Always on the lookout for new breakfast options that aren't just greasy spoon diners, I think I've found a new favorite. Really had high hopes for this place. We stopped by on Saturday at 10:30 and were seated right away. I ordered the Brisket Hash ($18) and my husband ordered the Steak and Eggs ($19) and upgraded the side to hashbrowns ($2). I'm not sure what quality of meat was used but it was slimy, flavorless and reminded me of something you would get in a microwaveable TV dinner. There was so much gravy on the meal that the potatoes were just a soggy mess. My husband's meal was nothing to write home about. A tiny cut of steak and the hashbrowns were basically flavorless. We did enjoy the bloody Mary's and felt that they were reasonably priced at $6/each. For over $50 for breakfast on a less than mediocre breakfast we won't be back. read more

Service was a bit slow. I thought it's worth it if the food is outstanding. I was here for breakfast. I ordered the vegetable hash. It was cold. Literally cold. Maybe not enough wait staff? I really wanted to love this place. The decor is interesting and it had a nice vibe. I just wanted hot breakfast. Too bad! The flavors were spot on and they might have a diamond if they hire more servers. People want cooked food served hot, not cold. Tried the "Cinnamon Beignets " they were still raw in the middle. My husband and I went here this morning after I saw them on Fox 6. We love going out for breakfast but were hesitant going to a strip mall. I'm so glad we gave it a shot! The service was fantastic, the ambiance is sophisticated yet cozy and the manager, Joe was actively working the room making sure all customers were happy. We each got a special. I got the after workout scramble with mushrooms, spinach and feta and my husband got the pumpkin pancakes. Both were delicious and both were good healthy portions. We each tried a different coffee and liked them both. My husband also ordered orange juice. It's fresh squeezed!! It was so refreshing. PLEASE patronize this establishment! Great hearty breakfasts, the sweet potato waffle is a favorite. They also offer gluten free options, which is much appreciated by my family.

Thoughtful and creative menu. Everything we ordered was fresh and superb! I had the house omelette and green salad. It was perfectly cooked and the salad was tossed in this refreshing lemon vinaigrette. You can tell they spend a lot of time and love on each plate. Coffee was just ok. French toast was run of the mill with orange sauce which was good but would have been better heated up since it made the French toast cold when you poured it over the toast. Omelet was just ok. Nothing to write home about. Berries were good but you had to pay five dollars extra for that. Toast was cold. There was some kind of music in the background but too quiet to discern what it was. Very quiet. Not a homey place. Cold atmosphere. Give me a happy place with decent food anytime. I am a regular customer at Good Eats, I have enjoyed breakfast there with my wife many times. They have many offerings on the menu, so there's something for everyone. The food quality is consistent. I especially like their Crab Cake Benedict and Portabella Frittata. They are not always perfect, but as close as you could get. This is not a fast food restaurant, if you want that, go to Qwik Trip, and buy a sausage biscuit. read more

Second time here. First time was good, but on our second visit we waited 30 minutes to get cold runny eggs, and overdone potatoes. The toast and sausage were good, but the cooks need to learn that eggs over medium do not have clear yolk. We went in on 1/2/23. They were fairly busy. We asked to eat at the bar. There were 6-8 other people at the bar. A waitress/bartender took our drink order (coffee) and then took our order (eggs benedict and French toast). It took 30 minutes. During that time the person who took our order didn't ask if we wanted more coffee or status on our order. In fact she refused to remake eye contact. Food finally arrived but no silverware. We had to ask the hostess for silverware. Eggs Benedict, English muffin not toasted or even warm. French toast barely warm. Nobody asked how our food was until we asked for a check. Really cute restaurant & a nice addition to the area. I had the flatbread & enjoyed it as something different for breakfast. Husband had the crab cake eggs benedict & enjoyed those as well. Service was very slow on a morning when the restaurant was at maybe 20% capacity. Food was not overly warm & my egg was cooked too long (or was under a warmer too long). Yolk was not runny at all, but thankfully this was not a major component to the dish. I really feel that the food sat for awhile before being brought to the table. All in all, I'll give them another try because I liked the space & the food was tasty even at a lukewarm temperature. read more

Overpriced and under served. We opted for breakfast here after church on Sunday. We knew the coffee was good having been here before. However I opted for a Cafe Au Lait, which was OK but a bit pricey at $6.50, which was not shown on the menu, by the way. I ordered the usual "eggs your way" which I ordered "basted." They came as poached, but I ate them anyway as they were poached OK and I also like poached. I ordered fruit instead of potatoes. The server offered berries for an "up-charge" which I opted for. Later found out the up-charge was $5.00 which seems a bit pricey for a small bowl of strawberries and blueberries. And we had to remind them we ordered berries as they brought the usual melon pieces with the breakfast. My wife opted for the veggie hash, topped with two poached eggs. She said it was good. Service was unfortunately quite slow. We waited quite a while for our food and our coffees. There appeared to be plenty of servers working so we had to assume the problem was in the kitchen. We noticed other patrons also waiting quite a while for their orders also. I would say service has definitely slowed since our last visit here. Wait staff was friendly and interactive, which was appreciated, but we'll have to think twice about stopping again. The restaurant is comparable in menu offerings to First Watch in Brookfield, but serve times here were WAY slower. read more

Good Eats, needs a lot of work to live up to its name. Stopped in with the wife on a weekday morning. We were greeted by two nice waitresses who informed us it was only the second day for one and she was training the other. We were only the second table occupied at about nine am. We asked for coffee which seems to be somewhat of a signature item, but it was only OK. No choice of strong or mild variety. The menu sounded appetizing with quite a few choices, all in the general range of $12- 16. I ordered the bagel w cream cheese and salmon, which came with a bit of fruit. I was a bit underwhelmed when it came. An open faced small bagel which was soft and not chewy like most, cr. cheese and some greens and two cherry tomatoes cut in half. Not like any lox and bagel I've eaten. The taste was good, but... My wife ordered a sweet potato waffle. Again, a bit disappointing.first, we needed to wait about 20-25 min. after I was served. For some reason the waffle maker was acting up. We thought the flavor of the two little waffles was ok but they weren't as crusty as any waffle should be. Again a little cut up thinly sliced fruit. They did apologize for the wait and comped a small plate of thinly sliced fruit. As I waited I placed a side order of "crispy potatoes" which ended up as a small plate of about 1/2 in.cubes fried in the deep fryer,$3.50. Not crispy, but brown. Ok. As we finished up, the head cook (manager?,part owner?) came to discuss our meal and really wanted feedback, so I hope we can chalk our disappointment to the recent opening. They definitely needed more work and maybe a soft opening to gain feedback before announcing that they were open for regular business. read more

Just recently went to GOOD EATS for the first time and it won't be my last. The food was amazing. I had the eggs Benedict, one of the best i ever had. My friend had the meat omelette which was great. We were nervous about going out during COVID but made the right call choosing Good Eats. My husband and I (and baby in stroller) enjoyed a nice brunch here this morning. I had the French toast and he had the egg sandwich. Everything was yummy, but the best part was the pretty and delicious mocha. We were allowed to sit wherever we wanted so we chose the corner of the private room, which made us even more comfortable. Our server (Sadie?) was sweet and very attentive. I just discovered this wonderful healthy eating café, a hidden gem in Pewaukee. It is behind the Pick N Save and close to Costco in the strip mall. I had one of the best gluten-free healthy lunch I have eaten and then another time had an amazing breakfast and the best coffee! There is some outdoor seating but the inside seating is large and spacious. I so hope these folks can make it! I don't know them but I do know they opened the week that Covid was announced so I wish them well read more
