Good Hands Massage - Massage Therapy Near Me - Fair Oaks, California

Major confusion about who was giving me a massage because there was no one there that spoke English. I was immediately rushed into a room and the door was then shut close. I guess that meant I should change. No communication about anything. Then suddenly an old man walks in and puts some stones on the floor. Keep in mind I was already undressed with a thin sheet wrapped around me. He then leaves and comes back and wants to give me a massage, I felt really weird and uncomfortable. So then asked for a female massage therapist. But he didn't know what I was saying so I was motioning to him to please leave the room. So he did. Then that's when a the female who took me to the room came in and didn't speak English either. But I asked her if she can give me the massage instead and that I preferred a female. Overall, once we got all that cleaned up the massage was great but confusing at times. About half way in she suddenly gets a towel and wipes all the oil off my body that she has put on. The towel she used was super rough and it didn't feel good. I've never had a massage where they wipe their oil off the body. The oil was also super cold and I didn't like that. Usually the oil massage therapists use is warm and comforting but theirs was cold. Also the massage therapist left the room a couple times to greet others in. She was super nice in her demeanor and I know she means well so maybe staffing was an issue? It was just the old man and her there. The whole process from walking in to leaving wasn't smooth. Good Hands was a pleasant experience. Daniel and Amanda were our masseuses and were cognitive to what our bodies needed at the time. I chose deep tissue and boy did I need it. Without a glance, Amanda knew that my shoulders and upper back were my main issues and spent the majority of the time focusing on that. During the entire process she asked if the pressure was too hard, but I endured everything as I knew my body needed it. Daniel was very perceptive of different pressure points in the body that would help with the main spot that needed attention. He was very knowledgeable about stretches he was going to perform and made sure we were okay with anything before doing so. Lovely husband and wife duo. Overall a great experience. I just moved to the area last year and I have been looking for a massage place. I think I finally found my spot! LOVE this place! Here are all the pros: 1. I called early in the morning on Feb 8th before they were scheduled to open expecting to leave a voicemail. To my surprise, someone picked up and took my reservation. They were able to squeeze me in not long after. 2. They're also very understanding. I originally requested a 90 minute session, but due schedule changes with work, I had to cut it short to 60 minutes. I called them back to let them know of the change and they let me change it without charge. 3. I was paired up with Nancy for my deep tissue massage. She was amazing. Most other masseuses will just continue with the motion but not Nancy. She found ALL of my trouble spots and did not stop working on them until she felt the tension was released. She even went as far as to walk on my back (with my permission of course). She also offered hot stones which really eased the pain. 4. The facility is very cozy at the entrance and very clean through out. Most other massage parlors have very strong air fresheners but Good Hands Massage just smelled clean. 5. I know they have a hot sauna but unfortunately, I did not have time to try it out. I'll have to try it out next time. They also offer individual bottled water before you exit. 6. Very reasonably priced. Please be kind and make sure to tip your therapist! Here are the cons: 1. It's not really that bad but they do charge a $3 credit card processing fee so bring cash if you want to save the $3. 2. You're going to want a 90-minute massage. I was so bummed when I had to cut my appointment short but I think I would have gotten more out of the session had I extended to 90 minutes. But Nancy did her best with the time she had. To start...thank you Amanda!! You are the best! I had a deep tissue massage, facial and scalp treatment. I've been inquisitive, but a bit anxious to try. I'm not a fan of having my face touched.. and as for the scalp treatment... I have small knotless braids. I was not so positive, but my curiosity and some encouragement from Amanda won out. I'm so glad I did not miss out!! Amanda's hands and technique were sent from the good heavens. She began to work on my back and the next few hours were an absolute blur She kneaded me into the deepest pockets of unconsciousness. There I drifted in and out.. just long enough to be flipped over to continue to bask in the sensational wonder I was experiencing . A warm mist began dancing on my skin the gentle kneading began to ascend from the base of my neck to my temples, continuing with a firm caress gliding down my jaw I found my unconsciousness, again that was the rhythm of the evening. The moments I gave in...were not mere minutes passed, I learned as I was unwilling coaxed back into waking. "Noooot yet," I screamed silently. I was slow to dress. My obedience rewarded me! I was led to another room. I hopped on the table.. not sure what was to come, it didn't matter though; the way my body was already melting and feeling so goood! Alas.. the perfectly temped water flushed my scalp.. warming it in addition to the most therapeutic pressure embracing my four corners. Instantaneously, all thoughts had vanquished..only feelings I cannot began to articulate. I wish I was present for that particular service.. but once again a wave of unconsciousness took me due to the uncontainable pleasure my skull was experiencing. When I woke up.. Amanda was drying my braids The day after: Facial As I rinsed in the mirror I noted.. skin bright.. dark under eye circles.. gone... skin tone looking even and dewy Scalp My scalp feels super clean and fresh Braids are intact, still looking good. Hands down best massage I have ever received! And I am picky and not always easy to please. I gave zero instruction and Amanda felt it all out not a word was exchanged and she found every knot. She could read my muscles and somehow she just applied to perfect amount of pressure, even around injuries. She started cautiously and worked her way up in each position with each muscle to a tailored amount of pressure. Honestly it's mind blowing. I would have never thought walking through the door to the tiny waiting area... I cannot speak for any of the other masseuse but Amanda will get it right for sure! Knowledgeable masseuse, very good massage. but it was so hot inside it was uncomfortable and cant breathe. Uncomfortable how they left the door open while massaging. I would go back because the massage was so good, but I would definitely let them know that I prefer the door to be closed when I'm naked getting a massage.
