    Baked turkey sandwich
    L.V. W.

Decided to pop in for a quick lunch post hike- was not disappointed! As someone who loves a good sandwich- this place is your spot. I ordered the baked turkey, it was excellent. Large portioned sandwich, soft fresh bread, and fresh ingredients. 5/5. I will add, it is a little expensive, but if you want a good fresh sandwich and an ice cold beverage this your place.

Favorite place I ate during my week in Glen Arbor! Walking past, I thought this was a small restaurant and looked past it. I'm so glad we came! It is so cutely decorated on the inside, like a perfect vacation restaurant. As it closes at 3pm, it gives an opportunity for a yummy and healthy lunch that leaves you feeling great after. They are very conscious of vegan and gluten free options. I got the adult grilled cheese with gluten free bread and added avocado. It was delicious! Maybe even the best vegetarian sandwich I've had, especially with the grilled onions. I also got a cup of warm tomato soup. Terrific lunch/brunch/breakfast spot. Cute outdoor seating, very friendly staff, and clean bathrooms too!

Bowel of Clam Chowder and Rainmaker Ale

We arrived around 1:00pm local time on a Fourth of July holiday week. We were seated immediately upon walking in. We were lucky as the place was packed, we got the only open table. It took awhile to get our menus but as busy as they were it wasn't surprising. It didn't take us long to make our orders. And the food made it appearance in what seemed like reasonable time considering how busy they were that day. I chose to get a Stormcloud Rainmaker Ale for my drink with lunch. I really like the bold taste, just what I'd expect from an Ale. And I've been to the Brewery in Frankfort where the beer was brewed. All of that made me confident I would enjoy the beer. Which I did a great deal! My granddaughter loved her chicken fingers and chips! She ate the whole bunch and her chips! Surprisingly as she is a finicky eater. My clam chowder bowl was very delicious! Plenty of clams and potatoes, delicious too! My step-daughter had a vegan wrap. It was pretty tasteless however. Not surprisingly however as many restaurants don't know how to cook flavorful vegan items. My wife salad was quite good with the raspberry dressing. Plenty of verity and all very fresh! Because of the time of day and the holiday the atmosphere was definitely that of a very busy restaurant/Grill. Hectic and loud, but we were well taken care of while at the establishment. Not a bad choice for such a busy tourist town on a holiday!

This was the vegetable side that came with my meal. 6 1/2 green beans thrown on the plate. Didn't even try to make it look nice. Seriously?

We will not go back. The food was overpriced. The seafood in the seafood stew was way overcooked. The vegetable side that came with it was laughable - 6 1/2 green beans. We did sit out on the small patio which was nice because the inside was very loud. The service was good.

I loved the vibe of this place. We sat outside on the patio two days in a row and it was so lovely. To be fair, this is really the only sit down breakfast place in town, so we didn't have much of a choice, but the food was still good and the staff incredible nice, helpful, and prompt.

The food was pretty good. It was a little pricey, but have to expect that during tourist season. Service was good and friendly.

Average food, slow service. Nice atmosphere for a family meal though. The Maryland Crab Cake sandwich was good but over priced.

An amazing small grocery store with some high end products…read more This place is similar to places near high end communities where you see lobster tails and superb cuts of beef. Lots of high end spirits and wine. Many small batch jars of sauces, condiments, jams, etc. Boars Head meets sliced for you. Nice salmon and Tuna. Plus the regular groceries that everyone needs. They even have a single barrel whisky that the staff selects and has bottled just for them. It's better than expected for the price. Staff was super helpful and polite. I've never reviewed a grocery store. This is pretty unique shopping! Try it.

Get there early (8ish), the deli person said they sell out. Would love to see this store have a little more in pre packaged foods-to-go. That seems to be a general need. Even pre-made burgers or plain chicken breasts for dogs would have been amazing for people traveling with pets. I only gave 4 stars because I went to the deli last night at dinner time and food looked dry and not great, so I had to order takeout.

With its elegant…read moresetting and abundant windows featuring Lake Michigan views, it makes for a memorable evening. The daily menu was crammed with the best local foods and in August when we visited that meant cherries, luscious vine ripened tomatoes, blueberries and more. In fact I hard a hard time narrowing down even the 4 salads as they all sounded fantastic as did the 10 appetizers. In the end we opted to share some things starting with the light crab "puffs" (really golf-ball-sized crab/rice cakes) which were delicious although a bit light on the accompanying sauce. Next we savored the small summer salad made with juicy dark purple tomatoes, fresh basil and slivers of mozzarella. Our entree was the pecan crusted white fish that was also nicely prepared. Note they add a somewhat outrageous charge for a split plate-around $16, so our fish ended up costing $66! For dessert we chose the turtle sundae festooned with crunchy toasted pecans and a house made caramel sauce. There's a nice wine list too. Service here was top notch with constantly filled water glasses and a very professional staff. I was really pleased and surprised to find a restaurant of this quality located in a tiny vacation hamlet. Highly recommended

While we love great food, we are not "foodies" who do well with super modern/unique takes on classics - and after perusing many menus of different restaurants in the area, we felt like Blu was the right mix of fancy but delicious and classic and we were not disappointed! Pro tip: book a reservation and look when sunset is - we did the 8pm seating with the sun setting around 9-9:30 and if was amazing. They have see through blinds, but raise them up for the sunset and many people walk out to go take a picture on the beach right outside! It's a small intimate restaurant, so in general booking a reservation is advised. The gnocchi was amazing and so flavorful with sun dried tomatoes and succulent shrimp. My spouse got the lamb and really enjoyed the garlic and sauce Robert- and was so happy that it wasn't traditional mint sauce with lamb. The scallops were extremely rich with the asparagus risotto. We did split a crème brûlée which was just okay (maybe a bit too eggy in the texture?) , but they do use real vanilla bean and overall we were stuffed at that point. They have an extensive wine list, cocktail list, and mocktail list which I appreciated as a lady on her baby moon trip :) best Shirley temple I've ever had with real homemade grenadine made from real cherries! Staff is attentive, kind, and always checking to make sure you're taken care of. Overall, yes it's pricey, but for the delicious food, view, overall fanciness - I think it's justified and worth it for a special occasion! We would love to come back in the future.
