OMG!!! I went to try Goodfella's for the first time with my wife recently and ordered that big German Pancake and a Chile Relleno skillet, the potatoes we amazing. First I am 6' 3" and over 300 lbs and when hungry feel like I could eat a horse at times. Not that day although I made a good effort. In the end we shared the German Pancake with a nearby table and they stated the next time they would order one of them. I can't wait to try more. read more

Maybe it is good during busy times, but went in at 3 PM on a Thursday and got served coffee from a pot several hours old. A fresher pot was sitting there but they did not use it until I complained. Cheese omelette and hash browns meh at best. Diced ham that was supposed to be in omelette served barely warmed up under the omelette. Daughter ordered "Cherry Cheesecake" off the dessert board, and got a slice of cherry-flavored layer cake with a few mashed cherries between the layers. Won't go back. read more

We say there for 20 minutes waiting for our server to take our orders. As we did so, we watched another family arrive, sit down and get served before us even though we were long before they were. Breakfast is served all day and I got a Haystack (eggs, cheese, hashbrowns with ham but I substituted bacon plus toast). It was pretty good-not great but not awful. The hashbrowns were pretty tasteless & kind of oily but the rest was normal/good for a breakfast place. I must say the service was FAST! I also ordered a Caramel Frappuccino (I guess Starbucks has not sent them a letter yet) and it was tasty. The waitress was nice and the place appeared to have a bunch of regulars. The wait staff seemed to know everyone and hugs were given out regularly. A perk for parents-there was a guy handing out balloon animals for the kiddies. I'd probably go back. read more

The food wasn't that good and the service was meh. It took a while for us to get helped and when we did the server got our orders wrong. Our server asked if we wanted some fruit with our waffle and we said yes ( she implied that it was included) then we were charged 2.75 for a small cup of blueberries. We ordered the maple bacon waffle special and it came out as a regular waffle. When we were asked what could be done to make up for the mistake we said we would like some bacon. Pretty good. Reminds me of an old style diner with blue plate specials and senior menus. Great service. Reasonable prices. I had the chicken fried chicken but the sandwiches looked a lot better and are probably the best option for getting full. Solid menu with plenty choices for all. I love goodfellas. I eat there often. I would have given them 4 stars except that I just had a bad experience there. I ordered country fried steak and eggs, to go, with the eggs done over medium. When I got home, I found that one of the styrofoam boxes had a hole burned through it; and when took a big bite out of what is usually delicious eggs, I not only found that my eggs were severely underdone, but I also bit into an eggshell. I called the store and he offered to make me more eggs, but after having the not even cooked egg whites and egg shell in my mouth, more eggs were the last thing I wanted. He said I should be more specific next time and say "over medium with the whites done". Sorry? Isn't that the difference between over easy and over medium? This really disappointed me. read more

The waitresses were talking about another waitress and that is in bad taste I think, we shouldn't be hearing their problems. I never write reviews but this was some of the worst service I've ever had. It took 30 mins for someone to come grab our drinks and the busser was the one to have to do it. Our busser (a high school kid) tried his best to make up for the lack of hustle our server had. They claimed they were busy, but it didn't feel like it was that busy for a breakfast diner. Our food was cold, and honestly I would have been happier with the food from McDonald's. We saw the server twice and what really irritates me is he now expects us to tip him when he didn't do anything? I've worked in the service industry and know that sometimes things go wrong but the server never apologized for our food taking forever to come out or for not having silverware or getting our drinks. I feel bad for the busser that was picking up the slack. read more

I didn't actually eat because I was invited to a family luncheon at the last minute and had already made plans for a little later in the day so knowing I was going to eat lunch just a few hours after meeting my family I choose not to eat, just visit so my review is through them based on their thoughts of the food, and the few things I did take a few bites of. The building itself is an Old Village Inn, the inside is cute, modern and clean, much nicer than the old VI. Service was great, we had several servers and got everything we asked for asap. My grandma got 2 eggs, hashbrowns and toast, only $4.95.....she ate it right up, but she is 85 so I don't really think she cares. She is just happy to be out and about :) Other items ordered: biscuits and gravy - got "it's ok, I have had better" shrimp taco's - got "they have no flavor, really bland" chili rellenos - got "it's ok, have had better & a little overdone on the cheese" there was a lot of cheese! I did have a bite and I thought it was pretty good actually, good flavor, a little spicy, if I was to go back I would probably get this unless I was afraid of the amount of cheese. They do serve breakfast all day. They do have a very large selection of items from Italian to Mexican to breakfast to steaks & potatoes.... The restaurant itself was busy, prices seem normal. Breakfast from $5-8, lunches from $7-11, and dinner such as steak or some of the chicken fried steak items etc from $9-14. They also had several dessert choices, several pies etc. We did have a cinnamon roll, it was served warm. Its was ok. Great spot for a warm meal - we've enjoyed breakfast a few times and I met a friend for lunch one day. The booths are comfy and the staff are very friendly. The food has been great, my favorite being the biscuits and gravy. My husband loved the omelet. The portions are huge for the price and the service was fairly quick. First time visitor but we'll be back. The food was good for a neighborhood diner. We went because of the name (luv it) now will go back for the food. We had fajitas (as good as Chili's) and prime rib dinners and both were very tasty. You will not go home hungry. There were only 3 tables occupied but the staff seemed slow or involved in "other" things. They were very pleasant but not attentive as they could be for being only have a few tables. Where to start?! Excellent and happy service, large portions, relatively cheap menu items, breakfast all day! What more could you possibly want? Try the ultimate burrito. It's a burrito the size of a small child and will definitely fill you up enough for breakfast and lunch. Their special days are nice too. Wednesdays are free pie days.... FREE...PIE... For what my boyfriend and I wanted it was perfect! It's just the spot to grab a quick cheap breakfast. The coffee is excellent as far as diner coffee goes and the woman doing the coffee rounds never let our cups get empty. We were seated in a very timely manner despite how busy it was as well! The food? Pretty dang good considering my plate was 8.49! The German sausage reminded me of the fried bologna sandwiches my grandma used to make so while I wouldn't consider it German sausage it was still pretty tasty! My only complaint was my hash browns, I had asked for crispy and the crispy was no where to be found. All in all though it is a nice little spot. We will definitely be back! read more

My husband I and tried Goodfella's last week because we were in the mood for some comfort food. The restaurant is extremely clean and everyone was friendly. The prices are very reasonable. I had a BLT and a salad, and my husband had the bison burger, fries and a salad. We were both pleased with our meals, as we were in the mood for regular diner fare. This isn't the place to go if you are wanting the type of jazzed up 'gourmet' diner food that has become popular, but it is a nice place to go if you want a dependable meal in a clean, friendly atmosphere. There didn't seem to be any vegetarian options and they don't serve alcohol. It is very family-friendly. We'll be visiting Goodfella's again because I'd like to try their fried chicken and breakfast options. If you're wanting decent diner food for a good price, this is the place to go. read more

Terrible service and we just about walked out! We felt totally ignored and uncomfortable being there. We did FINALLY get severed and the foods was OK. When we left we spoke to the owner Jeff about the situation and he said he'd look into it. I didn't believe a word he said and offered us nothing for our terrible experience. We love this place. Food is good, comfort food, not gourmet by any stretch of the imagination. Service is prompt and friendly Servings are very generous. I'd call this home cooking like grandma used to do. One caveat. We were seated in a booth with a view of the kitchen. One cook had no hat, no gloves and was on his phone pretty constantly. My family ate here last night and the service was very poor. I found the waitress and the cashier to be very rude!! The bus girl was extremely friendly and waited on us 95% of the time. If it wasn't for her our drinks would have never got refilled. The waitress checked on both the tables near us and totally avoided us. We asked the bus girl for a dessert menu and sat for 20 min and decided we weren't going to order any dessert after all. Mind you there were only four tables occupied (ours included)! We sat for another 10 min waiting for our bill which never came so I got up and went to the cashier to see if I could just pay our bill. We eat there every so often and it's usually ok service but we will never eat there again, my husband is absolutely disgusted after last night! read more

I always love checking out new restaurants and finding the local joints to bring the family to so when my daughter wanted pancakes and I remembered seeing the sign and good reviews online we decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in the door it was clear something was amiss as the branding and promotional materials vaguely correlated to the atmosphere of the restaurant itself. I know that can be over looked but it was a sign from the get go that we were in for trouble. Trying to overlook that we waited to be seated. Once escorted to our seat we waited for the busser to clean the table and set it which she did a honorably job of completing. The table was sticky and the seats full of crumbs and spilled liquids that had dried. It honestly reminded me of a 2 year old's car seat. We should have left then, but decided to give it a "shot". Beverages were fine, wait staff was friendly but lacking a level of professionalism (perhaps friends of the family?). The Menu's: The menu's were not bad despite the fact that they were filled with crappy advertisements from local car repair shops, divorce lawyers and the like. I hate that! It's like trying to pick your food from a thrifty nickle magazine... VERY distracting and degrading to guests. (Sorry for the rant) Once our meal came we knew we made a bad decision. I had ordered Chicken Fried steak and mashed potato and a mixed vegetable medley, my wife got a bacon cheese burger with fries and the kiddo got some pancakes. This food looked like it just came from the hospital cafeteria and had been sitting for an hour. It tasted a little worse then it looked. Very bland, lukewarm and POOR quality. I really can't believe people pay good money for that mess. We slowly chocked it down, politely paid the bill and left with a resolve to never return again. I will never visit this establishment again! We ordered an appetizer that had chicken wings, mozzarella sicks, and spinach dip. The waitress told us the wings were going to be boneless. Upon receiving the appetizers we found that they had changed their wings from boneless to bone in. The waitress forgot our ranch dressing and was supposed to bring us some (she never did - she was not even around to ask her for some!) The kitchen staff obviously have NO idea how to properly fry the wings. The majority of the wings were over fried and the meat was hard and dry. It was disgusting. The green leaf garnish they plated with was wilted and had multiple dark spots. Not appealing. The dip was flavorless and disappointing. At this point, my husband and I should have paid for the app and left. We decided to give the restaurant a second chance and both ordered a burger. My husband said his was okay, not great but cooked how he ordered it. Mine arrived with two small dill pickles - one had a stem on it! Again, my lettuce was limp and had rotted spots on it. The kitchen staff had to been aware of this as it was folded in half so I wouldn't see. I used what lettuce that was decent and the waitress finally came to ask how we liked our meal. I told her how I was disappointed in the lettuce, etc. She took the lettuce to the kitchen staff and asked them if they would eat it - all replied "no". She then took the lettuce to her boss and showed him what was being served. When she brought our tab to us, she informed me that she discounted our tab due to the mistakes the kitchen made....a whopping .70 cents! So sorry we waisted our time here, should have gone to the Pump House instead!! read more

My sons and I were in the booth at the far end where you can see into the kitchen. One son does not like butter on his pancakes. I noticed that our young server accidentally put butter on (not a big deal), but then swore, scooped it off with a spoon, patted it with a napkin (still not so bad) and then the older server next to her picked up the two pancakes with her hands and switched them so the accidentally buttered pancake was on the bottom. Akh. I don't mind a mistake, I don't mind trying to make it right, but I DO mind a server putting their bare hands on our food and trying to fool us. Not going back. read more

For the location and price point I really think Goodfella's does an excellent job. My waitress Jessica was professional and friendly. I tried their special Smoked Prime Rib and it was awesome. Perfectly cooked and the au jus and homemade horseradish sauce really kicked it up a notch. My daughter loved the chicken nuggets kids meal which came with juice, fruit and great quality nuggets. My son has more sophisticated taste and chose the rib platter with baked sweet potato which he loved. The meat literally fell off of the bone. When I received the bill it was under $30.00 for all of us. I will go back when in the area. The kids love it and it has WIFI.
