This is a new store so it is clean, bright and well organized. It is big and has lots of registers. I found a few things I wanted to buy but, with today being the grand opening it was too crowded to even move. I will be back when the newness wears off. Easy access off the freeway and lots of parking. Drop off donations in the front of the store and drive straight back to parking and shopping. read more

It's a good Goodwill generally and the manager went the extra mile -- the extra 10 miles -- to help me find a misplaced phone. Now I'm struggling to remember if she goes by Ma or Va, and it was hard to read her name tag thanks to new glasses with progressive lenses, but she's an absolute rock star. read more

This store is a good-sized Goodwill Store. Brightly-lit, clean & neat (unlike some of the other Goodwill locations). Large selections! Very nice customer service! Came here for the black Friday sale to stock up on sweaters and jackets, but the selection here is poor, most of it is out of style, faded, or poorly fit. Two stars because it is a very clean and well organized here. Went to get sweaters and jackets at the Goodwill on Cosumnes and W Stockton Blvd instead as it was less crowded and they had better clothing selection. read more

Horrible donation encounter. Berated me for not seeing the stop sign and not knowing where to put my car. Talked at me like I was stupid, barked at me to separate items as if I knew that. Every goodwill I've been to simply takes my items and doesn't make me sort it and complain that I didn't know. Older guy was a d**k, younger guy was an angel. Never donating here again :( read more

This is a clean and well taken care of Goodwill. My only complaint is the prices. They are very high. I have shopped many of the Goodwills in town and this location is well over average prices elsewhere. I'm interested in a fun shopping experience, not paying full price for used items. read more

Their prices are way to high for glassware etc... I've heard other customers complain how high they were. The clothing isn't high it's reasonably priced. However like I said all other items are priced way to high. I seen a picture frame that had a tag for $3. You can get same one at the dollar store for a $1. Nothing is organized in miscellaneous area it's just a big mess. People donate these items they aren't new. Needs to be priced accordingly. Just the other day two employees were talking loudly to each other, while putting things on shelves. All you could hear was them talking and laughing. A employee at the store was very rude I am an older woman with anxiety I was at the register ready to purchase and walk out I wasn't talking to anybody I didn't open my mouth I wasn't coughing the cashier had a Mask I wasn't talking to anybody around me so I took off my mask for a few minutes she seen me she asked me to put it on I didn't refused I was walking out She then came up to my face and almost pushed me out of the store She even threaten to call the cops I will never Shop there again Not a penny by the way in my basket I was about to purchase over $150 easily it wasn't about the mask it was about a power trip keep your power trip you'll never have my money read more

Went last Sunday to try the new Goodwill. It was busy as I assumed it would be. We came with 2 main things in mind. Pajamas and my nephew some cholthes for school. Plenty of both. I found 4 pairs of pj pants and we found a few outfits for the little. Huge selection and fabulous prices, we also we got a hello when we walked in and our cashier was friendly. I come here often, and I've never had issues with the store or any employees, until today. I've donated at many goodwills through the years and this is an amazing location to donate. They always offer to offload items, never give you a hard time or complain, especially when Shawn is working. Unlike some of the other locations I've been to. From my observations, this particular location is one of the most labor intensive for its employees. Yet, they never complain and everyone is working hard. They all need a pay raise!!! read more

By far one of the cleanest Goodwill stores I've ever been to. Very organized too. I went in looking for slack pants for my teen boys as they don't wear them as often I'd hate to pay full price. So I stopped by to check out their selection. I was very impressed to see they had all kinds of categories and organized by colors and sizes. Very easy to find. read more

So my 13 year old bought a pair of head phones for 15 dollars. They did not work! We brand them back 45 minutes later to be told you cannot return things on exchange it to buy something else. I'm so pissed this kid wants a headset not something from this over priced crap they have here!!!!! Nobody told him about this return policy nor is it on the receipt. Was told there are signs! Well I didn't see any signs!!! I have work in customer service I would NEVER treat someone one the way this manager did was like to bad!!! We got your money and u can't have it back. I'm so upset!!! Finally a Goodwill in my neighborhood! I'm so sorry it took me so long to realize it was there! This place is nicely kept and the items organized and well stocked! I'm an avid thrifter and appreciate the nicer merchandise I've found here. Prices are reasonable that I've found. I've been to some Goodwills and some like to mark up certain items to almost full retail for a used item. Love the prices here so far. By far the nicest bathroom I've been in at a thrift store. Great goodwill location, there are a lot of good finds and trinkets to look at. It's very clean inside and most of the workers are very nice and helpful. What i love about this location is the cleanliness! It is organized and doesnt have that unspoken goodwill grudge. The bathrooms are clean and since it is a newer location it isnt as run down. If you buy something you get a 20% coupon on the bottom of your receipt! Score! $5 target dress with tags still on and tennis rackets always stocked for $1 which is really reasonable! read more

This store has good "stuff", but the prices have gone WAY up in the last couple of months! The store is clean and well organized. As this is a brand new store I'd hope for nothing less. Being that it is in Elk Grove, I'd say that it will stay this way as the shoppers are less likely to be jerks and mess the store up. However, my trust in the employees too keep the store in check leaves me feeling like as the time passes the store will become an organized disappointment. I was not at all impressed with the Operations Manager as he reprimanded the cashier in front of us as well as the line of customers behind us. I don't care what she did or didn't do right....if any reprimanding is to be done, it needs to be done behind closed doors. The pricing systems is....stupid (for lack of a better word). Some items were marked as they should be....as they are a thrift store. However, some of the prices were outrageous. As I shopped the isles, several times I compared prices on my phone to what it would be brand new....and I'm sad to say but GoodWill is marking things at the same or $1 or $2 less then the brand new price. If I'm going to pay for anything that is secondhand at the same as price as a brand new item....I'd rather have the brand new item. I'm not saying that everything should be marked $1 or $2 but am saying that they really really need to remember that all of that stuff was donated and all of that stuff is considered USED. Also, whoever is deciding what to price which item really needs to reconsider the pricing structure. I paid $4.19 for a kick drum, when in fact it should have been priced at least $12.00. They wanted $7.56 for this shower bag that had the Macy's brand on it....so, yea...I said, "no, thanks". That bag was a free gift with purchase. I'll be going back, I'm sure. In hopes that someone with some authority actually takes time to read this, I'd like to say Welcome to our neighborhood.
