There were a couple of cars in front me but gladly it was a drive thru so it was very convenient especially being very hot that day. Really frustrated with one of the store employee Miley, she always look unhappy and annoyed she should not be working in the front. The rest of the employee are great and manager is sweet. I hope they train her to be a better cashier and PAY ATTENTION to who is next in line and not just help whoever she wants to! Miley doesn't even greet people that comes in and out of store nor smile! This location is a hidden gem. I find great stuff here often and like to check in a couple times a month. It's tucked away in Elk Grove and I like that because it feels cleaner and nicer than other goodwills nearby. Some things tend to be over priced but I just skip over those things and dig for the treasure. The clothes are always priced way too high but I look here anyways because they usually have nicer clothes than some locations. I don't mind paying a bit more for something I know I will get a lot of wear out of. The only downside is I've never found a showstop item at this location, like I have at other goodwills in the area. However, the consistency is what makes this location one of the better ones. read more

Super easy to donate here. Just pull up under the exterior roof and there's even a front door attendant there for service.

The selection at this goodwill is very good. The have a good size selection of books, dvd, clothing, and electronics. Also the little nuggets in the display chase are worth the value. One of the cleanest and most well organized Goodwills I've been to! I always find something solid, especially pants. You definitely have to make sure you come on a day where a ton of people aren't there/there to donate because the parking lot and store both get really crowded. Everytime I've visited this location it has been neat and and everyone working is polite. We normally stop in daily while on our morning walks. I have purchased a few things from here and have been happy with them. For example: a pair of almost new Franco Sarto loafers. I spent $12.20 and they are online for $70! I DO wish however, that they would have more color of the day sales because in my thrifting experience $12.20 is a bit much for loafers (BUT better than $70). Also, if there is an item that looks SUPER used, or something is wrong with it, they will negotiate the price. Which I do appreciate. I'll be back for sure. read more

I love this place. I usually go here and shop for blankets and some good books. The employees are helpful when it comes to recommendations and the store is usually clean. Thought I would help leave a helpful review since I always seem to overhear much confusion from other customers on multiple topics. As of recent they aren't having 50% off sales. They are still having 10% senior discount on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. They are taking measures to ensure we are safe by having at least a few measures like sanitizing cart spray and hand sanitizer station. They are ensuring that everyone in the store wears a mask. Their store hours as of recent during this whole COVID situation is from 8am to 7pm and the donation hours are from 10am to 3pm. I had seen this store from afar many times while driving on 99 or along the freeway on E. Stockton Blvd on my way to some family event at the Elk Grove Regional Park or other little adventures with my little family. However, I had never ventured in here. This is probably the nicest Goodwill in all of Elk Grove and greater Sacramento area. It's super clean, very neat, and the selection is still quite good. I'm not sure if prices depend on the location of the store, but the items I looked at were reasonably priced. The kids clothing section is pretty well stocked. The shoes section much less so (I understand shoes go fast and lots of times there's not as many shoes being donated as shoes often get too worn out anyways to be donated). The book section looks plentiful. We didn't wander much into the other section, but we did browse a bit throughout most of the store. I didn't end up getting anything here except for a glass jelly belly candy dispenser. But my little one and I had a good time just browsing through the store while we spent a quiet slow-paced morning together and waited for my older child to finish at school. Overall, this was a nice experience at this Goodwill and if we need something that doesn't need to be new and want to come thrift shopping another time, we'll definitely come and check out this store again. read more

He's always there when I drop off donations, and he is quick, efficient, and I think most of all he is very polite. I have never had a bad experience with dropping off donations here. read more

Great location and the employees are super friendly and helpful! I enjoy coming to this goodwill locations looking for treasures. Sundays they have 50% whatever color they decide on ... haven't gone yet but I will knowing that this goodwill does have a sale at least once a week! It seems this place is buzzing with a lot of people who love browsing thrift stores looking for that "find" or "treasure" and its always more than enough to go around. There are times when it feels like you're "competing" with other customers to get some good stuff. Went here today to shop, was not wearing a mask. The store worker asked me if I had a mask, I said I did not, she told me I needed a mask, I asked if they had a mask she said no and that I could not shop there if I didnt have a mask. They lost my business. In addition there are no signs posted saying you have to wear a mask to enter. read more

I always drop off clothes and home goods here. The guys accepting the items at the drive thru are very friendly. They rarely turn away my items except one time they did not take my high chair as it is against store policy because baby high chairs can be recalled or broken and be dangerous to a child. I completely understand. I have never shopped here but it is my go-to place to quickly get rid of items that I do not want and have a hard time selling. read more

First time here... I found several items I WOULD HAVE bought, but the prices were WRITTEN on with some type of MARKER! Who writes on items with a marker?! What happen to using a small price tag sticker??? And, to top it off, they use clear packing tape to tape things together... Clear Packing Tape... Other thrift stores use paper tape... tape that won't leave sticky, hard to clean residue of the item. SMH. What a shame... SMH read more

I had collected 20 boxes of donation items that came from our house in SF, Fairfield and Elk Grove. Yesterday, I went through every box and sorted them by department, so it would be easier to put on the shelves. I threw away anything that was stained, cracked or not sellable. I even washed the linens and clothes that needed it. I was so nervous that I wouldn't be able to pass these items on because there are no donation pick-ups around and some are closed:(. I called this Goodwill this morning, the nice lady said they were accepting items (thank goodness!) during business hours. I sent my husband over asap, still nervous they wouldn't want our good stuff. But they were happy to take them and even more grateful that everything was sorted and neatly packed. I have another load with vintage items that I will bring next week. Thank you Goodwill for accepting our donation for others to enjoy. read more

Heads up for others, apparently you're only allowed to donate 10-3 daily. I drove 20 mins out of my way to get here to find out they won't accept it. How can you not accept something during business hours? I literally need nothing, just drop it off. Makes absolutely no sense and is one more reason why you should never donate goodwill. So my wife and I go into the Goodwill store and expect to buy gold and silver tone jewelry jars there is supposed to be silver and gold toned in the jars but when you get it home and you look at it they go through it and you're not getting very much silver or gold at all and then they price them $65 which is ridiculous for a jar full of junk. Don't buy their jewelry jars unless you just want to throw your money at them and not get anything because that is all you are going to do when they go through them and don't leave you nothing with your wild. read more

They have a good setup and most the product is quality they get some new items that are very good like the bamboo pillow and other various items .I like going thru there items but I went on a Monday and then Saturday and the store was still pretty much in touched same stuff same spot and not sifted thru only nock I have lots of boxes empty on the shelf no product in it. read more

this goodwill always has a good selection, but i cannot get past how EXPENSIVE it is. i am a college student, and decided to take a trip to the elk grove goodwill to buy some kitchenware for my apartment, because of their good selection. i ended up finding some ikea drinking glasses, i really liked them, so i bought them. they were $1.25 each, and i thought that was a steal! WRONG! i came across the glasses on ikea's website today, and they were $5.99 for a 6 pack!! i paid $1.50 extra at goodwill for the exact same, SECOND HAND glasses! absolutely ridiculous. be careful that you don't get ripped off here... read more

This specific location was very clean compared other locations I've been to! All the aisles were very clean and they were fully organized. All the workers I interacted with were very friendly as well. They have a separate section for jewelry and other small items and a worker is always there attending the station asking if we wanted to see anything. Overall, as an avid thrifter, the home department is very well kept. Organized, and def filled (almost overflowing with items) Wide variety of items, great prices as well!!! Hey man, this is as good as Goodwill can get! Tons of used books, clothes, housewares, Furniture, you name it, it's here. The store is new, therefore it's pretty clean, and avoids some of the dusty old moth balls smells that a lot of other thrift stores and donation centers have. This is more like a true shopping experience, complete with changing rooms, and well-organized shelves. The checkout process is very efficient also, there are at least five or six cashier stations. Even during their last sale, which was an unbelievable 50% off anything in the store for President's Day, the long line moved through quickly and with the minimum of headache. For dropping off donations there's also a drive-through setup on the side, couldn't be easier. I wholeheartedly encourage you to check out this joint for shopping or for donating, I find myself there at least once or twice a month. read more

I had one bag of clothes today and just wanted to hand it to the guy but he wanted to make me wait until the people in front of me to unload their SUV full of stuff. Seriously?? It's one bag!
