Super easy to donate here. Just pull up under the exterior roof and there's even a front door attendant there for service.

Such a wonderful and huge goodwill. Manager Lisa is extremely rude though.... Apparently she's "too busy with manager things to help" lol

Ask the Community - Goodwill Industries Sacramento Valley & Northern Nevada

    Are there dressing rooms?

There used to be dressing rooms to the far right when you walked in, near the books. However, I'm pretty sure they removed them.

    Do they sell patio furniture?

Sometimes, if someone donates it. I don't see it there often, though.

Is Goodwill still accepting all donation items, or are there restrictions due to COVID 19?

They are accepting donations but only in the back area. Drive behind the store, wait your turn as its one at a time, and the workers will instruct you where to place your donations. Btw to ensure safety they will not touch your donations, you have… Read more

When you walk in there is a sign on the door that says if an item doesn't have a tag then you can't buy it. And there is a security guard at the front door. I found lots of good deals. The most expensive item I bought was a winter coat for $17.23. It was in a size small and it fit perfect. It has a mickey mouse motif and mickey ears attached. I found a Las Vegas Raiders jersey, boys XL, which fit me perfect $12.92. It was new with out tags. I also found a SF Giants T Shirt that looked new. I found some other black tops, long and short sleeve. I found the cutest red minnie mouse sweatshirt but it was too short, too back because it was perfect. They also have lots of more expensive items mixed in. Such as Kings and Giants Jerseys. All well over $35. Compared to the teams stores it's still a good deal, but out of my price range for this shopping spree. These items are cheaper at the Goodwill Bootique in downtown Sacramento. I know because I've purchased several jerseys there. Everything is well organized by size and type of merchandise. They have long racks of clothing and a good variety of sizes. They have a rack of short sleeve tops, another rack of long sleeve tops, dresses, formal dresses, jackets, athletic tops, ect. Everything is so well sorted. They have colored tags on the merchandise. Each day they have different sales depending on the color of the tags 25%, 50%, and 75%. I only had a couple of the 25% off items. For those 2 items I saved $5.07. So for 5 items I paid $46.31. On average $9.26 each. Not a bad day Thrifting. Checkout is all self-serve. It's quite odd, but they have a lot of registers and someone helping out. They graciously took my coat and found a tag on it without me asking, which was great because I didn't even see it. I did see it on the Raiders jersey I bought and they removed that after I scanned it in to pay for it. They also have some new merchandise by the entrance of the store, those are not so good deals.

This time, I headed straight to the home goods section while my wife went to the clothing section, as we always do. Almost immediately, I found a set of large work gloves I needed at a significantly reduced price. I also came across a set of cast-iron cookware and a few cast-iron frying pans at prices that caught my attention. However, after considering them for a minute or two, I decided not to purchase them because of their heavy weight and the challenges that poses when it comes to washing. My wife found a couple of tops she liked, and we headed for the cashier. For some reason, only one of the two registers was open, and because it was closing time, everyone was lined up to pay, which took a while. Other than that, it was a productive visit.

This store is pretty big. Not in the best area, I wouldn't suggest coming by yourself after dark, especially ladies, that's just my take. Tons of clothes for all ages like most thrift stores. I don't shop for those much so I skipped them this time too. I ended up looking for some board and card games and ended up finding a pretty cool puzzle and also a basic compound bow that I'm going to try with my kids at an archery range. The wife looked it up and it is a good brand and a bit pricey online, but it wasn't priced, so we asked and got it for a great price. Score. Didn't see any good DVDs this time, but there's always changing stock so it's cool to come in and look around once in awhile just to see what's new. The store is actually ok clean and really big, and the checkout was quick. So all in all, still a good store.
