Been to this place numerous times and somehow they don't have any of our information. They had vehicles under my account that I have never owned. Also don't waste your time in scheduling an appointment for a safety check because they don't take appointments for a safety check even though their website offers that option. Plus they won't call you to let you know the appointment is a waste they will wait until you get here to let you know that something that should take only an hour will now take at least 2 hours. A friend referred me to good year, said they were good but she warned me about the rude guys working. They close at 6 pm i got there at 4:15, went to the garage and asked for a safety check. Man was sooooo rude, he said nope men left. I asked what time they closed he said 4:30! So i went bsck the next day. Rude workers! One guy working in the garage was very rude not even being helpful, if you really hate your job then don't work there! Worker inside should have better customer service, not even a hello. Omg!!! They deserve no stars!! If I could give out negative I would! I am still sitting here from 8am! It's currently 1130am. I've seen 5 other people come in after me and go that had no appointment and have had their car service done. I bring my car here pretty regularly for the past 3 years, but this is the last time! I was told 1130am my car would be ready after I checked with them 45 min ago. Sad to say my car is just being taken in to be worked on and it's 1134am. I rarely grumble or complain but I think this validates me being pretty angry and disappointed for the lack of good service and most of all the lack of accountability with no empathy. Took my vehicle to the dealership and they confirmed it is my fuel pump but not only that the fuel filter which I also had done here. I am NOT happy with these guys! I hope they refund my money or something. I don't know if I even want them touching my vehicle again. They are all a bunch of lazy people. Got my saftey check from here recently. Everyplace else couldn't take me for whatever reason, were booked or would make me wait 3 hours so I was releaved when they said they could take me and be done within the hour. It was busy with many customers waiting but they kept to their word and got it done in half and hour! Fast and friendly service, good job. read more

ZERO stars!!! They failed my safety inspection on grounds that the parking sticker placed on the bottom corner of the rear window impeded my driving/parking view! They remove said sticker by shredding it! The rear headrest actually blocks said sticker! AND the law states that military and parking stickers ARE ALLOWED!!!!!!!!!! read more

Purchased a $500 tire ... Installer took over an hour to get the tire on the rim and SCRATCHED the rim in FOUR places. Didn't notice until we brought the car home where the damage was fairly obvious. The Installer didn't say one word although you know he must have known what he did during the installation!!! No pride in workmanship!!! read more

Making me buy new wipers to pass inspection...wipers worked fine yesterday in the rain

I experienced a flat tire at the worst possible time, I was late for work, my son was late for work, I didn't have much money and Goodyear was a saviour! They helped me and was very patient on the phone, they had my tire in stock, it was at a really reasonable price and when the tow truck got my car there, it took them less than 35 min to fix and get me on my way, even though they had a full house of cars being serviced. Goodyear is always my go to for oil changes and they always take care of my car. The last time I went they were having a problem accepting cards so I had to walk to my nearest atm and take out cash. Had a scheduled appt for an oil change, seems I bothered the two people behind the counter a middle aged man and young lady. The oil change was pretty quick... the next day I found out why a panel was not put on properly. I called same middle aged man to discuss the issue, so I brought the car back (because I didn't learn the first time) and this individual points out a minor scratch and said I must of hit/scrapped something. Are you serious??? If that scratch was so bad to "rip out"two large bolts it only makes sense that there would be more damage. But the CSI qualified individual would not hear anything other than his own rushed Wikipedia resourced conclusion. Very disappointing Goodyear on this island!!! First time I took my car in, estimated time was 1 hour, took them 3 hours plus, just for an oil change! Second time for inspection, my father in law waited for 3 hours, when it supposed to take 1 hour. Ok, this time i thought I'll give them another chance, because it's the most convenient place for me. I had a really good experience here. I read a previous review regarding Edwin, but I actually thought he was delightful. My car was grinding at the breaks and pulled over immediately to this Goodyear around 10:15. Luckily it's near my work place so I didn't have to wait around or anything. But I pretty much just told him that I needed my brakes changed asap!!! They assessed my car within the hour and then called me with what they saw. Changing brakes and rotors aren't cheap :( they gave me an estimated time of when they would be done which gave me lots of time to plan out the rest of my day! They called me exactly at the given time estimated. I called back asking what's the latest I could pick up the car, they said 6pm. Then I called back, thinking I wasn't going to be able to pick up the car until the next morning because of crazy traffic. They said they stay till 7pm!! well , have to take the good with the bad, I read these and had just bought all 4 good year tires and knew it was free , I called and they warned me; first come first served, so went at 11:45 and the guy said it would be at least hour and half, ok I had to be back at work but taking a long lunch would be better than finding way to office and back with no car left and came back in hour and half, nothing. so then checked again at 2:00 and this time he checked and it seems the orders are placed on a hook in garage and mine had been covered up by subsequent orders (I had seen others come in after me and leave but maybe they had appointments) but he put mine on top and said , "yours is next open bay " at 2:30 I gave up and said ok can I just take my car back ,and take it somewhere else, he said "they are working on it now" now I don't trust and am checking every 15 minutes but next response was "they are working on it , what do you want me to do" left at 5 to 3:00 . but was free, had I known I would have paid the 25$ at the dealer to fix it at 1:00 with an appointment read more

I scheduled an appointment for an oil change online, simple as that, right? Nope. I called to confirm my appointment and the representative merely stated, the online system doesn't work, so that appointment is not real. Well, great. Why would you keep an online appointment system active if it has no bearing on your actual appointments? I can only imagine other frustrated customers who don't think to double check and just drive down to the shop. Anyways, I finally got a REAL appointment in their books. The oil change took about an hour and they honored my coupon without any fuss. A week after my service, my car started to leak tons of oil and an indicator light came on saying that I should immediately stop driving. I live in an apartment, so I was not happy about the gigantic oil stain on my stall. I called and they said to come back right away. It turns out they didn't replace something correctly, so oil was splashing all over my car. Seems pretty dangerous. But they gladly fixed it, and when I mentioned that I had to purchase a whole new bottle of oil to hold me over until they fixed it, the manager refunded me for the original oil change plus the cost of replacement oil. So this was overall an inconvenient experience, but I appreciate the efforts of management to try and make the situation better. I don't know if I would come here again, but you really can't beat this great location in Salt Lake. read more

Numerous times the customer service has been extremely lacking. The staff is rude and not helpful. I made appointments on the phone only to find out from the counter that they do not do appointments. Which is it? Be consistent! The latest time I went there, I had a coupon in the mail for a safety inspection but the lady at the counter said they could not offer it because they had to use the state wide price. Why would you offer a coupon in the mail to me when it can't be fulfilled?! That's the only reason I went to your store! On top of that, the vehicle inspection took 3 and a half hours! The representitive i talked to was named Jason and he seems adept at questionable business practices in the sense of upselling customers, after he quoted my wife $146 for tires on the phone and once here he said the cheapest he could find was $182? I decided to roll the dice and give this place a shot despite some mixed reviews since it is located close to home. I went in at 7:45 to get 4 new tires installed. Randy was helpful in finding the right tires for my vehicle and I was told it would be done in an hour . They called me in 45 minutes saying my tires were done which exceeded my expectations. I went in to pick up my car and the lady was helpful in expediting my transaction so I can make it to my next engagement on time . My experience there was fast, easy and pleasent and will be making a return trip for my tire needs. I would have rated 5 stars but a minor snag occurred with the payments...I couldn't pay partial Goodyear credit and on my credit card so I had to leave to get cash out of ATM to pay balance...minor deal but hope they can work out where can pay on 2 Seperate credit cards...minor deal. Other than that small issue , thank you to the folks at Goodyear for making my visit and easy one. read more

Went in for an alignment. Car went in straight and left crooked. The guy said one alignment nut was stuck. Went to a different shop and they told me the guy didn't know what he was doing. Took our car in to get new tires. When we received our car our rims was scratched. Showed Brent the scratches, he seemed to brush us off. Made several calls on what can be done to fix the problem. Talked to Edwin, he said he needed to see our car first, when he did recommended us to a vendor in Waipio to fix it. Two days later called to say that the scratches was not their fault. Honestly, if it weren't for Ed, I might have possibly gone to another establishment. He is professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
