we have a fenced property with some hillside. GP came out and decided they would only treat flat areas leaving obvious gopher mounds untreated because they were 3 feet on the downside of the hill. $1000 for 4 visits - they use Valpirid claiming only licensed pest control companies can access but it is readily available on Amazon. All in all they showed up, were pleasant and did the minimum. I had wanted someone to just clean my entire property (just less than an acre) so I didn't have to deal with it every day. These are not the guys for that. And I am confident that all moles and gophers were not taken care of. It was not my idea to have them only treat landscaped areas but they decided it was easier so, if for some reason you use them, read what they add in the written contract and don't depend on conversations. read more

Very bad service! One tech showed and said he injected the gopher pellets. We watched on a video and he did not do a thing. Another cruised around the back yard and did not look at everything. Very slowly I might add. Well, after the last visit, we have four or five new holes in our grass just a couple of days after the last tech was there. I agree with the other person who stated that Gopher patrol sends out unqualified "technicians", does not know how to eradicate gophers and is really pushing for the monthly renewal. After spending $250, and sending different college students to my house to get one gopher, even contradicting each other's methods, we still have gophers. There is no guarantee. Be careful of the "must call back within two weeks an see 'new' activity" clause. Observing one of the young students struggle to put gas in the hole, only to see most of it come back up, it was clear that there was little training done and could have been detrimental to his health. I was very unhappy with their service, I tried to have them come out 3 times. The first time they out the tech showed up in a driving rain storm and then said they couldn't do the treatment because it was too wet, I'm not sure what they were expecting. The second time the office called during the appointment time to say the tech was sick and couldn't come, which I would have liked them to tell me before I waited and the third (and final) time the tech had me wait for hours on a weekend and then just didn't bother to call or show up, very unprofessional. Contacted Gopher Patrol after noticing numerous mounds. I actually caught 2 with traps myself until I realized I couldn't do this by myself without professional help. After one month of treatment which was poison injected into the ground which didn't work and then single traps set and nothing caught I felt like I just handed 250.00 as a donation. At the end of the one month service I was contacted by customer service and they suggested a monthly service of 65.00 and my response was I haven't seen any results at all and I actually have more mounds. I was then told customers sometimes treat the area with other types of poisons and this will make it hard for other poisons to work and I was thinking wow this was not discussed as a potential problem prior to GP taking my money and I only used traps. Bottom line, you can't continue to use the same methods and expect a different outcome. The technicians were always nice and came when they said they would but I still have Gophers's and I'm out of 250.00. GP may have worked for others but not for me. read more

This business does rain gutters for houses along with their main business of pest control. I had Andy from Gopher Patrol come out to my house and give me a quote for rain gutters around my house. he quoted me roughly 1600$. I had him requote me for just the rain gutter on the back half of my house. He then quoted me 570$. The quote was for 4 hours of work at 89$ an hour and 45 feet of rain gutter material. As I am in a wheelchair I trusted that he measured the area correctly. I didn't dispute it at the time. A few days later he had his workers come out to the house to complete the job. The workers and Andy showed up to the house and did not have the product they needed to complete the job. They then rediscussed the color and type of rain gutter I wanted after they knew what color and type of material I wanted the rain gutter. They explained to me they were going to head to Home Depot to get the product. When they couldn't find the product there they called me and said they would have to track the product down and would have to come back in the next day or two to install it. They came over two days after and installed the product which only took them 45 minutes and not four hours. Then after looking at it when the job was completed I didn't think the area looked to be 45 feet so I measured it. The area was only 28 feet. I contacted Andy a day after the install and asked him if we could discuss why he charged me for four hours and 45 feet of product when his guys were only here for 45 minutes and why I was charged for 45 feet of product when the area was only 28 feet. He explained to me that due to the time he had to spend with his guys coming over to the house and having to track down the product that all that time added up to the four hours. I explained to him that his guys showing up to my house to complete the job and not coming with the product they needed to complete the job was not the customers issues he didn't see the point. So I contacted his manager and explained the situation. His manager asked me what I was expecting to happen. Extremely rude I might add calling me "dude" on the phone and all. I explained to him I wasn't trying to get the job for free but to only pay for the job that I received which was 45 minutes of work and 28 feet of product. He did not see the discrepancy as I saw it. I requested a refund of 200$ already which I thought was more then fair. I explained that even with a 200$ refund I was still over paying for the job which was misquoted. After going back and fourth with Wesley the manager he finally agreed to the 200$ refund. This is not the first time that they misquoted and tried to over charge customers. They did it to my mother who actually recommended them to me to use. I just don't want them to continue to misquote other customers who do not actually check their quotes or measurements. They should just stick to doing pest control and not rain gutters. read more

We called during their off hours last Saturday, and didn't leave a message, thinking we would call back Monday. But from caller i.d. they responded right away, and said they could come out Tuesday and have a look, and would be letting us know a 2-hour time window on Monday. They called back Monday and set a time between 10am and noon. Taylor arrived this morning on the early side of the range, proceeded to tell us that he didn't think we had a gopher problem, and explained why. He asked us to keep an eye on things and call back if we needed them to return. He left an estimate for their services, and cheerfully said that we owed them nothing for the call. My problem with this company is that the service was not provided in a quick and timely manner.. I wanted to minimize the damage and wanted them to come asap, but couldn't get them to come for 4 more days.. then it took 5 minutes for them to drop some poisons in a few holes for $235... and guess what.. it did not slow down the Gophers for a bit.. and they just came back and ate up more of our lawn.. and i called for a second visit.. and they said the next visit was schedule in ONE week and can't come any earlier.. This company is great to work with. We've been their customer for few years to control gophers in our backyard and they're always professional. We recently have issues with rats due to fruit trees in our property and definitely don't want those rodents in our house! Didn't think they would do rodents as well so but they do! Each time they treated my yard, I would see a new gopher hole a couple days later.
