Haven't written a review in a long time but felt compelled to after our horrific experience here. Gordon Ramsay should be ashamed to have his name attached to such an establishment. First off, they served us a completely flat Coke. Fine, we did not send it back and just ignored it since we didn't want to make a fuss. Then I ordered a pumpkin beer with a cinnamon sugar rim- they made the first one with it. Then I ordered another one. The waitress came back with the beer and said they ran out of the ingredients for the rim, and just set the beer down without even checking with me if I still wanted it. Then she abruptly walked away. I definitely would not have ordered this drink if I had known they would not make it the same way. Again, I didn't say anything and just drank it not wanting to make it an issue. It was a chilly day out and my friend was with her newborn baby. We asked one of the servers if they wouldn't mind turning on the heat lamp, and he said "sure"- then walked away and never did so. The burgers are ~$20+ and do not come with any fries/side. The side of sweet potato fries is $7- I guess if you like them thin, crispy, and dried out then that's good for you. The worst part about our experience was the service. We paid our bill and my husband wanted to order four shots for my friend's birthday. We were given the bill and paid, then waited at least 20 minutes. Literally paid, signed the bill, and sat there for 20 minutes wanting to leave but also waiting for these damn shots. Finally, my husband asked one of the servers if the shots were still coming and she rudely responded "yessss" with the most attitude as if we were annoying her, and she didn't even look back at us when she responded. I was livid!!! Who treats customers this way?!? We were not being demanding and I think waiting 20 minutes for four shots (of tequila not even a specialty shot or anything) is ridiculous. Had she said something like "so sorry the kitchen is backed up" I would have been fine. But the tone and attitude were horrible. The manager finally brought out the shots and comped them which was nice, but still such an awful experience. read more

Went in after a long day of uni visiting and were tired of seafood. The restaurant had wasn't packed or noisy, with a few people sitting around the bar. Got seated promptly and our server brought water over. We ordered some wings that were pretty good. Both of our burgers were very overcooked, and I asked the server if she could have them remake mine, she had the kitchen redo the order. The chef brought the new ones out and apologized, I told him no worries, it's night time and thanked him. The newly cooked burgers were delicious, moist, flavorful, fresh crisp veggies and the buns were nice and fluffy (hopefully he didn't add secret sauce lol). We will definitely recommend read more

We were wary of eating here because of the reviews but I'm glad we did because it was excellent! We are huge Gordon Ramsey and like to eat at his franchises whenever we are visiting large cities. The burgers are very similar to what you get at Hell's Kitchen. The service was quick and very good as well. It's not as formal so dropping in walking from the city all day was great. Very small and simple menu. A few appetizers, salads, and burgers. The restaurant had a higher end diner feel, with tables, booths and a bar that took up a lot of the restaurant. Service was good, something I'd expect from a Ramsey brand. The low rating is for the food. The food was fine, nothing amazing. Started with the wings and nachos. The wings tasted like buffalo wings without the butter. A little tangy, but I felt they were missing something. They are supposed to be spicy, so the wings had a couple slices of habanero peppers on them. The nachos were better than the wings but not really nachos. They were homemade potatoes chips with all the toppings, I'd reorder the nachos. I got the farm house burger, and I couldn't finish it because it was very heavy and big. It was a good burger, but wish I got it medium well because I felt awful later that night. Not food poisoning but my stomach didn't feel great afterwards. If I had to choose between Gordon's burger or capital burger, I'd choose capital burger. read more

If you want a good burger and decent drinks, great place! The staff were all so pleasant and friendly and really cared about how things were. They were friendly and attentive! Small menu but lots of great choices and you will leave really full! I thought the atmosphere was fun and open so you can see the bustling of Boston! Service is good - but they never circled back after we began our meal to say, "how is your meal?" We also needed to ask for utensils and napkin to begin eating our already cold meal. I was excited to try this place. Disappointed. Very bland food. We had the Guinness Burger, the Hell's Kitchen Burger, and the Southern Yardbird chicken sandwich, onion rings, and the truffle fries. Well that was a complete waste of time money and effort! Service poor at best... how difficult is it to get a glass of ginger ale and water? Apparently above and beyond what the bar tender can handle! We ordered 2 burgers: A chicken sandwich and a regular burger, fries, and onion rings. The chicken burger was wonderful. Roughly 6 onion rings come in 1 order of onion rings. Excellent burgers! Once again, whatever Gordon does to his veggie burgers is super impressive! Our vegetarian announced it tasted just like meat! Being the skeptics the rest of us were, we tried a nibble and agreed that if we hadn't been told, it would be hard to tell it wasn't actual meat. (They will sub a veggie patty on any burger they make.) The bleu cheeseburger was indeed VERY bleu cheesy! The fries were good, but could have used another sprinkle of salt. The fries were hand cut, and I got the cocktail "Smoke on the water", which had smoked whiskey and very tasty...presentation has a bit of theatre that was nice as well. My boyfriend and I planned to visit Boston over a month ago, and when we found out Ramsay was opening up a burger spot, we had to add it last minute into our plans! They do take reservations which is very helpful. The inside was very cool looking as you can see Boston Public Market and North End just from the windows and love the red, white, and blue for the UK vibes. We were served by Maggie who was very kind and made sure we were very taken care of. I got a regular cocktail and my boyfriend got one of their non-alcoholic ones and we both enjoyed them! My drink wasn't too strong as well which I liked. My burger was the vegan burger and my boyfriend got the burger of the month, which is the Philly burger. My boyfriend really enjoyed his burger, and I really liked mine as well! We actually shared fries as Maggie suggested that the portion was actually big, and she was right! A perfect call. When it was time for dessert, my boyfriend did get the Oreo creme brûlée shake, but since I'm vegan, Maggie went out of her way to get me some freeze-dried strawberries that are not pictured, but are used in their featured shake just so I can still get a nice sweet treat. We were immediately greeted at the door to two smiling hostesses. Our waitress was Arianne and she was great. Attentive and very friendly. We chose to sit upstairs out on the patio. It was awesome, in the shade and the ceiling fans really kept it very comfortable even on a relatively hot day(for Boston lol). My wife and I both got the blue cheese burger; she with a plant based burger and I a regular beef patty. We both thought they were really delicious. The onion ring on top was a nice touch. Both were cooked perfectly. We shared an order of fries and enjoyed the bbq sauce as a juxtaposition with the ketchup. I'm not sure the exact makeup, ie chuck meat to round, of my burger, but it was very tasty. I thought the price was actually really on par for downtown Boston these days. No, not cheap, but even in Medford and Arlington it's hard to find a really good burger under $20 bucks. I really don't think they are going for the college crowd anyway. Price of our wine, again for Boston, was very reasonable. My wife works close by and we definitely plan to meet there again for lunch sometime soon and check out the bar on the first floor.
