Jason was able to diagnose the issues in literally seconds and he kept me aware of the process and I didn't feel in the dark about anything. He came out to replace a broken spring and do a tune-up, and while working on the door he found a bent sprocket on the garage door opener. He showed my husband exactly what was happening and explained how the bad spring had been putting extra strain on the opener, stretching the chain and damaging the sprocket. There was no vague "you need this too" sales pitch. He showed us the problem, explained why it needed to be addressed, and only did the work that was necessary. The garage door is now fixed and running noticeably quieter than before. I also really appreciated his communication. I made the mistake of using Yelp's "request a quote" feature and got absolutely bombarded by some companies, with multiple calls and messages over a 24-hour period. Ramirez's Discount Garage Doors did none of that. His communication was prompt and helpful without being excessive, and there was no aggressive sales pitch over the phone. He also recommended the metal end plates since they typically last 15 years and he said mine needed replacing. I accepted that repair and he suggested replacing the rollers but i declined that as it would have made it a higher cost than I was comfortable paying.
