This place is an all-you-can-eat sushi joint, so if you're looking for real sushi, you might want to look elsewhere. I ordered al carte, I wasn't planning to eat a lot anyway. The staff was friendly and professional, but the sushi was awful. I got some rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. The rolls had mushy rice and a weird flavor. Something was missing, maybe the rice vinegar. I'm not sure. They just tasted super bland. Most of the rolls were stuffed with cheap crab amalgamation to add volume. The eel inside one of the rolls tasted rancid. And most of the rolls were covered in obscene amounts of sauce. The nigiri was also not great. The rice was weird again. It definitely wasn't sushi rice and was very mushy. The fish had a weird flavor to it, like it had the fridge stink to it. It had a weird aftertaste. The sashimi was just insulting. When I asked how many pieces came with it, they told me it was just fish cut into three big chunks. The best sashimi I've had always ordered by piece, not "big chunks." The quality of the sashimi was the same as the nigiri. It just had a weird taste, like the taste of something being too long in the fridge. It didn't taste like it was marinated properly. To add on, I asked for tea, but they just gave me tea made out of a tea bag. It was terrible quality. The miso soup was overfilled with green onion and didn't taste flavorful. The atmosphere is fast paced and very get in and get out vibe. I have no complaints and highly recommend a visit for the food solely! The service is quick. You'll get everything out fast. However, You're there to eat and leave. I wasn't too happy about that as my group enjoys food, drinks with a good conversation. I got so sick from eating there April 5, 2025. I wanted to give them a try since they seem so popular and have a lot of decent reviews, we went for lunch and got a couple rolls and some nigiri Nothing too crazy, we had rolls with imitation crab and tempura shrimp and I ordered red snapper and yellowtail nigiri. The nigiri was so bad, I wouldn't leave it out for stray cats. The red snapper was pink and grey and had that iridescent sheen and the yellowtail was the texture of undercooked beef jerky, it was inedible and when we got our baked roll it looked like a pile of mush. It was disgusting, and I complained to the manager and left without eating the nigiri, the baked roll the popcorn lobster. I was however awoken in the middle of the night Sunday with horrendous stomach issues. This place needs to be shut down read more

This is my second time trying sushi in my life and TBH I loveddd it. The place was very lively, each time a person or group of people entered they give a big shout out!! Kinda cool ! Very organised and quick service by the our server Jessica. She was humble, very attentive and our orders came by so fast even with the huge crowd. I got all-you-can-eat menu and it's worth every penny! The variety of sushi is great. The fish/shrimp were so fresh and melt in the mouth texture. The sauces used were so delicious! This place was AMAZING. The music was slightly loud, but at least it was good music! The service was 12/10. We were promptly seated and before we were ever even able to run out of water it was always being refilled. I love sushi, and I find it hard to find fresh sushi places here in Vegas, I find most places to be mediocre, however, this place was truly amazing. The bulgogi was perfectly seasoned and moist. All of the sushi we tried was fresh, and the rice was warm and not to dry, not too wet. And wow the quality of fish here is truly some of the best in town. It's Saturday sushi night! Of course, we did AYCE! We came in around 8:15pm and this place was poppin'. There were a few parties waiting outside, but only waited about 20 minutes. Sashimi~ Tuna | The very vibrant pinkish red rectangular-shaped cuts were firm and dense. It had a gentle flavor and a juicy texture. The thick cuts appeared fresh as it didn't have any shades of brown at all. Salmon | The orange with streaks of white and silver-layered top were cut thinly and folded. It had an intense oily and buttery flavor without fishy aftertaste. Nigiri~ The sliced cuts of what seemed to be high quality fish were draped over a small amount of sushi rice which was slightly sweetened by sushi vinegar. -We ordered Tuna, Garlic Tuna, Super White Tuna, Salmon, Garlic Salmon, Sexy Salmon. The ones with garlic were alright, the garlic flavor was a bit toned down. The Sexy Salmon was creamy as they were topped with a slice of avocado and a small amount of mayonnaise sauce. Rolls~ Rock & Roll | The no rice roll contained raw fish and crab meat wrapped in cucumber with yum yum sauce. The cucumber added a juicy texture to the roll. We were hungry on New Years after watching the fireworks at the Las Vegas strip, so it was after 1:30 am when we sat down!! Not knowing that it closed at 2 am!! So this is an appreciation review for the staff that showed us compassion and understanding, as well as working together to get our waitress out of there so she could get home as soon as possible and for us to order all of our food before the kitchen closes. And then on top of that, the food was YUM YUM and YUM. Everything was really good. I've been there before with my friend and the place is really nice and youthful. This is perhaps my favorite of the AYCE sushi places in Vegas that I've tried so far. Depending on the time you arrive, be prepared to wait for a table. They have a 90 minute time limit on AYCE but a super extensive menu of apps, sushi, sashimi, drinks and desserts for an affordable price of just under $30 for dinner. Service was also incredibly quick with frequent checkins and fast delivery of food. If you are a UNLV student, you get 10% for dine in so don't forget your ID. You also get free all you can eat sushi on your birthday with a local ID. I opted for the gyoza as an app and found it crispy but a bit greasy. Highly recommend the Planet Hollywood roll as it tasted fresh and provided all kinds of texture in the same roll in a 8 piece order. The Korean kalbi beef was delicious but quite a bit fatty that needed a knife to remove the bones. Perhaps my favorite thing is that this place offers honey toast which I haven't seen on an AYCE menu. The restaurant isn't huge but there are a good number of tables or booths available. With wooden booths, be careful getting up as they may move on you unintentionally. I will definitely return to this place again to try more items. read more

The first time we tried this restaurant i think its was only there soft opening! Vibe was great , music was good too not boring! Clean, and fast service no need to wait for too ling for food. And the most important they were not hurrying us around to finish eating!! We really took our time. Food was great and awesome portion was just right not too much you can actually finish it all and enjoy it. Soft tofu soup was the best!! We are a fan of soft tofu and this was the best. Steam egg not dry it was really a steam egg. Corn cheese is awesome too.. Beef brisket was taste good Also the marinated king pork kalbi was recommended. The spicy rice cakes were swimming in a lukewarm sauce. The ramen was good bc who can mess up ramen? The nigiri was fresh, the rolls were okay just sloppily made. We asked for a salmon roll with avocado and was brought 2 rolls, one with salmon and one with avocado, not together in the roll. Just bizarre. They offered affogato on the dessert menu and we were served a scoop of vanilla ice cream with cold coffee spooned on it. Sorry NOT affogato. Overall cheap but not coming back. Our 3rd visit here. I was crazing some yellowtail. Which I ate so fast I didn't snap a pic. It's a lively place, fast, friendly service. I enjoy the ceviche, it's peel and eat shrimp but just enough food so you don't get too full. I always like that there are 2 rolls without rice which I don't find everywhere. Tastes fresh and refreshing if that makes sense. Big tvs showing sports and what looks like a video game. The waiters wear uniforms based on squid games I think. I'm not too hip lol. Was in the service industry for years and know to fire items in a sequence so that you do not overwhelm the table. nothing was announced as it was delivered. we had no idea what we were eating. we were all just shoveling food in our mouths to keep up. Went on a Friday afternoon to meet up with friends. It was pretty busy so there was about a 20-30 minute wait time. Which was ok. Once it was our turn we went in and the music was really loud. I think it was too loud to the point where we had to raise our voices a bit to hear each other from across the table. Everyone else was doing this too... so it was loud. One of my top sushi places ! My husband and I discovered this sushi place after the pandemic and have been back multiple times. The servers are always very friendly and welcoming. Everyone greets you with a happy face and they are always happy to provide you with recommendations. My favorite dish appetizer is the Creamy Shrimp. Before it used to be unlimited with AYCE but now they limit you to 1 per person which really bumped me out since we drive about 45 mins to eat here. I was still glad to enjoy it though. All of the rolls and appetizers are very rich in flavor. The honey toast was not what I was expecting since it's a Hawaiian roll with honey, honey drizzle, and a small scoop of vanilla Ice cream. Very interesting concept. We got more rolls but I was really enjoying the food I forgot to take more pictures. I liked how the ambiance was very modern. Definitely a must try sushi place. read more

I have been coming to Gorilla Sushi for literally years and Its a 2 and a half hour drive for me but I think is soo worrh it! The sushi is AMAZING! So fresh and tasty! The service is always top notch! They constantly check on us to see if we need anything! We always do the AYCE and the price is so worth it! $25.95 before 3 pm and $29.95 after 3:00! I always recommend this place to my friends and family and they have actually visited and they all agree that Gorilla Sushi is so good! I love the litte booths and the inside is so pretty!
