Tried some great sushi & there were so many options. Ambiance was almost like a Buffalo wild wings by the sea haha! Egg rolls were delicious too. TV's are also surrounding the restaurant which had on the soccer game and you can view the sushi chefs creating behind glass. They also offer a rewards card for an ultimate free AYCE. I recently visited this restaurant for a pre-birthday celebration. Overall, the quality of service and the ambiance were great. I particularly enjoyed the food and found that the one-order limit on the best quality items made a lot of sense. Additionally, I had an amazing waiter who was very helpful and answered all of my questions. Despite the outdoor temperature being 105 degrees, the inside was very well air-conditioned, which made for a comfortable dining experience. As a small suggestion, I would recommend slicing the sashimi thinner. I believe this would allow guests to better enjoy it with the sauces and other accoutrements provided. There was seating available at the bar. They offer AYCE Lunch $25.99 from open until 3pm, and AYCE Dinner $29.95 from 3pm until closing. Menu has a great selection of appetizers, soup, nigiri sushi, gorilla sashimi, standard cut & hand roll, chef special roll, baked roll, deep fried roll, and desserts. I chose a la carte and ordered my go-to for King Kong Roll (6 pieces, $10.95), it's deep-fried roll, inside has shrimp tempura, opt for non-spicy crab, has cream cheese, drizzled with yum yum sauce and eel sauce, so delicious! I noticed they make kimbap too! They have bulgogi and buldak. I asked for Original (6 pieces, $3.99) and requested deep-fried kimbap. The sushi chef is so cool! He made kimbap nice and crispy, inside has soft fried tofu, shredded carrots, burdock, pickled radish, all very tasty! I asked for yum yum sauce (+$0.25), this goes exceptionally well with any deep-fried food. Also had Miso Soup ($3.00), it was simple, served hot, and comforting. They give a good serving of soft tofu and green onions, though it would be great if wakame seaweed was added in to enhance it. They were quick with service and direct but polite. It's a fun experience. A lot of locals dig this place as a favorite, and there seem to be a lot of groups that frequent the business. The lighting is solid if you want that clarity. Its a bit much for me. There is a good amount of room to move around but I almost get the feeling of them trying to fill the space, rather than it being designed that way, if that makes sense to you? I would come back here bc its not awful by any means. They also have some interesting rolls on the menu, even if the "chefs roll" area of the map is HUGE. Im still big on execution and there are a few spots for me. My main dings are the price point. The lunch price is near what most places offer dinner for. Its not too close to the strip so prices should probably be a tiny bit cheaper. The rent should be cheaper. The quality of fish isnt that high which is probably why the servings of fish are so large. Maybe pricing is to offset the rent due to its sheer size? The rolls are sloppy, the rice isnt packed tightly, maybe the rookie made ours? The flavors were good but lacked punch. They have an affogato, which is rare, and lends to the creativity of some roll experiments on the menu. That being said, many rolls still rely on cream cheese imitation crab and cucumber. I would return because I do want to try a few of the wild ideas on the menu. I just feel other places, sadly closer to the strip are a little cheaper, fresher, and flavorful. Still 4 because they, like many Vegas restaurants, are trying. The 90 min time limit, which I wont go nerd on the reason I believe this and few things are this way but I have an idea of why. Came for a late date night and it was not busy but once our food started coming out it started filling up quick. Service is kind and ambiance is great. I enjoy the music they play it isnt too loud so you can actually have conversation with the people you are with. We ordered veggie tempura, the salt edamame (we usually go for the spicy garlic but a few places have been a miss and we couldn't remember if this was one of them). For sushi we got Boom boom, red dragon, caterpillar, kiss of fire, Johnny, spider, 007, vampire, and hawaiian. They were all fresh and had loads of flavor. 2.5 stars. I have no idea why this place has as many good reviews as they do. We went here for the AYCE sushi but decided to go a la cart. I'm glad that we did because the rolls were just average. Nothing to write home about. They were busy on a Thurs night and we had to wait around 10 mins to get seated. There isn't much place to wait inside, so we stood outside. This isn't a big deal at night but if you come here during the day, it might be a wait in the heat. The ambiance is casual, sports bar with a few booths. We ordered the Call 911 roll, the Kiss of Fire, the Spicy salmon roll, the Takoyaki, the Unagi sushi and a Hot sake. We love spicy food so a lot of our decision-making was based on the number of spice stars next to the rolls. The Call 911, which had 5 spice stars next to it and was recommended by the server as their hottest, was nowhere close to being spicy. In fact, the Kiss of Fire, which had 3 stars, had more of a kick. The server ended up getting us some spicy Korean sauce to heat things up. The rolls overall were ok. Same thing with the spicy salmon roll. It was fine. Nothing to write home about. The Takoyaki and the Unagi were just disappointing. Unlike the usual Takoyaki, these were half balls instead of full balls. They also didn't have the bonito flakes and the octopus was more pureed than diced. The Unagi looked nicer than it tasted. Instead of tasting the rice and the eel as a combination, it amalgamated into one melted bite, which wasn't as fun. The sake was fine. All in all, this was a very average dining experience and we will look for alternatives when we come back to Vegas next time. read more

Out of all the AYCE sushi restaurants in Las Vegas that I've been to, Gorilla Sushi remains consistent. By consistent, I mean food tasting the same. My favorites are the Gorilla Dream, Japanese Lasagna and Dynamite and the taste has remained the same. They're delicious and I'll continue to order them. We tried many other items during their dinner and so many items stood out like the Star Bucks, Salmon Kama, and almost all of their nigiri. Food came out fairly quickly, service was alright (can be improved), and ambiance is still the same with loud music but clean inside and somewhat spacious. Place was recommended to me by a local lyft driver. I walked in and was seated immediately. The waitress seemed shy at first, but she slowly opened up as the time went by. I can't believe it's AYCE on both the back and front of the menu. I have never seen a place have that many options which was a plus for me! I'd actually give this place 4.5 stars! I think I just found our new ayce sushi place! A friend brought us here on a Saturday night. We had a fairly large party but they were able to accommodate us with reservations. Our server was amazing! Super friendly and kept coming around to check on us/put in more food order. Our food came out pretty quick! They do half rolls on the rolls that don't indicate "6 pieces" or "8 pieces". I love the variety of choices you get! Unlimited ramen and pho too! Whaaaaat!?!? ANNNND one choice of dessert is included!!! There are TV's with sports on and music videos playing which were pretty cool! Great price on lunch for AYCE, only $26 for so many great options. This is our first time here and the sushi/ sashimi are extremely fresh tasting and delicious. The baked mussels sauce was very flavorful and elevated the mussels so much more juicy. I recommend the sashimi salad. Service was fast, friendly and sushi ordered came out really fast too. Is hard to find a sushi place that's as delicious as this for the price stated. You also get a free dessert included in the ayce after you done, the mochi and the ice cream bar is very yummy! First off, the ambience was nice and had a good vibe, and the customer service has been good on both visits. But the food... not so much. I came back to give it another chance, thinking maybe the first visit felt rushed because it was a weekend. But today is Wednesday, and unfortunately nothing changed. All the sushi rice tasted mushy and overcooked. The unagi we ordered had a burnt, almost torched smell and taste it was honestly unpleasant, and unagi is usually one of my favorites. Visited 1/15/25, a not busy Thursday night, and had disappointing service at the bar. Might have just gotten unlucky with who took our order... We were out-of-towners visiting while here for a conference and we wanted food off the strip. Our Uber driver said this place was well liked. There was indeed a nice crowd but we didn't have to wait for a table (except for her to wipe it off and clean under it which took maybe two minutes). The concept is great, being able to eat anything on the menu under their "All You Can Eat" price of $29.95. We tried a few different sushi rolls and a couple of appetizers. The lobster roll was excellent! What I am highly disappointed and annoyed about is this "leftover charge". There is a very SMALL "mention" of a charge for leftovers on the menu - absolutely no mention of what the charge is or how they assess it. Basically they charge you a dollar for EACH PIECE of leftover sushi, which is ridiculous. If you are an AYCE establishment, people will try different items that they may or may not like yet you want to penalize your customers for that. Then, you don't have any information on the menu as to what the charge actually is. So this is why I'm giving this particular rating. If you're going to be an AYCE place, be AYCE - don't place these penalties on your customers. read more
