DECEPTIVE. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I was given a range price of $187-$222 to pick up a sofa . Instead of being charged the high side price of $222, GoShare charged me $308. At that price, I could have gotten 2 professionals to pick up the couch. GoShare pricing is deceptive. The consumer is given a range. One would assume the worse case scenario is that the cost will be $222 not $308. GoShare said that I should have read the fine print that it's $10 base fee and $1.29 per minute. So in theory if you have a driver who doesn't know what he's doing or is dishonest, he can take his time and the consumer would be responsible for any minutes he claimed. BE AWARE. I just tried this service out today! I ordered some furniture that was delivered to me, but after receiving the items, I changed my mind. decided I wanted to return a couple nightstands back to Pier 1. well... how the heck was I gonna do that!?! I drive a small sedan, nobody I know has a truck or SUV and since I'm fairly new to my building, wasn't sure about asking my neighbors for help either! I remember seeing a post on Nextdoor not too long ago and thought I'd give it a go. easy to use app... driver came at the time I requested, loaded my furniture onto his truck and off he went. met him at the store, he unloaded the items and done. 30 minutes of time and all under $35!! I am not sure how Costco tied-up/recommends with such a company. They sent a single person to deliver and assemble a dining table set furniture I bought from Costco, whereas such furniture can't be assembled by one person. They can't say that it is the customer's responsibility to decide how many people are required for such work. With all their experience, they should be able to judge and recommend/mandate the services accordingly. I and my wife ended providing the help throughout the assembling (took almost 3 hours late in the night) and ended up paying $30.17 additionally for no fault of ours. DON'T GET MIXED UP WITH GO SHARE! This company is a complete joke! They are using misleading business practices to lead people to think they are paying a lower cost than a traditional mover but then charge your card MUCH more days after the move! I live in Jersey City and was moving my room of furniture to a local spot in Jersey City. I filled out their inventory form and made SURE I listed EVERYTHING I planned to move - I even left some things behind deciding at last minute I didn't want them so I moved LESS not MORE! I paid $128 upfront and the drivers accepted the gig. I am a woman on my own and needed this move to happen as I was flying out on a business trip the next morning at 7:20am as I continually explained to them as I HELPED them move me! I even staged everything on the 1st floor before they came so they could grab and load. They came to do the move in a Sprinter van. 1st mistake. They got it loaded and said we have to come back for the other stuff. They wouldn't allow me to ride in vehicle with them so I had to Uber to storage facility. We get to storage facility and facility opened the loading dock door so they can begin to unload as I get my papers signed. They helped me squeeze everything but 1 table into the facility. Then it started to thunderstorm and they started complaining talking about getting more money! I'm like "Wait a minute I paid for this upfront already!" They're like "That's only an estimate and this is gonna cost more, so I'm like "Ok, they'll charge my card then" It's thundering and lightning like biblical times and they TAKE OFF! To leave me with my busted knee to move the rest of my stuff ALONE and get an Uber SUV to take it! THEN they had the NERVE to further charge my card days after the move until my bank shutdown my card because of their suspicious activity! Damn right it was suspicious! Because they kept hitting it and hitting and hitting it! When I complained and asked for a refund of the amount over what I initially paid and explained that the movers did NOT complete my move, they said they'd 'look into a discount" but they charge by the minute and would not refund anything! I purchased a pre fab granite countertop and needed a way to get it from the warehouse to my house. I've thought about buying a truck, so let's say I was going to buy a new Tacoma. That would cost me around $450 per month, plus insurance and gas. For that same price, I could have paid for this delivery more than 8 times per month. And that doesn't even account for the driver who is also a second person to help load or unload, or the time saved since I don't even have to do the hauling. I've tried renting trucks from those local truck rental places, but it's pretty hit and miss as far as what they have in stock. Plus you have to go pick it up, drive to the source location, load the cargo by yourself, drive to the destination, unload it by yourself, then take the truck back. That's several hours of running around. So I decided to give GoShare a try. For a little more than it would have cost me to rent a truck, I didn't have to deal with any of the above headaches. And did I mention that all I had to do was wait for the guy to show up at my house and help him unload it. Soooo much better than renting a truck. The driver was friendly and competent. He had no trouble finding the locations, and the cargo was delivered without any damage. A total ripoff. Their so-called "estimate" is a joke. They charged me 170% more than the top end of the estimate. Even though you have to put in the pickup and dropoff locations, the estimate doesn't take the travel time information into account. I contacted the company and they said that it was only an estimate and they never know how much it will be at the end. I would give negative stars if I can. I was assigned a helper and driver for the move in day but one hour before designated time, the helper cancelled. I still decided to proceed with just one 'delivery pro' but then half hour after the time he was supposed to come, I learnt that this person had decided to not proceed. I was left hanging with no options to move. It was so unprofessional and caused a lot of unnecessary stress. It was the worst moving experience undoubtedly and most unreliable service. Do not use this service in NYC. They are completely unprofessional in their customer service and have not figured out their algorithm in NYC yet. They completely miscalculated our price, and refused to make themselves available for communication to discuss the final payment even though a) they promised to have a customer service representative call and b) I offered my criticisms in an attempt to help them understand how they could behave better in this market. When I disputed a modest, fair portion of the charges through my credit card, they did make themselves available to answer my company's questions, so apparently direct customer service is something they choose to ignore. Although the movers themselves were quite nice and the business model is in theory pleasant, they simply don't have what it takes to actually care about their customers and fair business practice. read more

Fraught with Peril. Purchased a couple of bookcases from a nice estate sale in West Covina, California and needed them moved to My house so I created a project and paid for the service which seemed legit. The driver never showed up but I was charged $120 for a cancelled project and then I made the bad decision to give them another try the following day. The driver showed up and decided it was too much work to load up an empty dismantled book shelf (8 pieces of plywood) into his pickup truck without some additional assistance so he left and said he thought the GO Share would have contacted me but they never did. So was charged another $130 for the project and never even accomplished or moved anything. Furthermore when you create the project on the website, if you're daring enough to gamble with these pirates, you'd better have your credentials ready on deck and be prepared to have a cancelled project because any discrepancies can be taken up with an empty automated chat that is if it's active online between the hours of 7:15AM ET - 8:01AM ET (WED-FRI) or 11:30PM-12:30AM PT (Every 3rd Sunday on odd numbered Julian calendar days only). Then you'll be able to have a "live chat rep" tell you that your project has been cancelled. Good riddance. read more

Never knew this service existed, but I'm definitely glad it does. After spending a couple of hours building an Ikea dresser, it ended up being way to big for the space it was going in than I had expected. The boxes fit before it was built, but once it was assembled, there was no way I was going to fit it in my SUV. I made an appointment with GoShare, and the next day I was able to return the dresser with no problems. Definitely recommend the service if you need it to haul something that you can't fit in your vehicle. read more

Unreliable Company . The Go Share Driver did not show up on day of our move!! We hired two drivers with two trucks from Go Share to move furniture from an apartment, and only one driver showed up. This put the one reliable driver in a bad situation since he now had no assistance to carry out the furniture from the apartment. I would not rely on this company for any important commitments. Not only did this driver not show up on the day of the move, after contacting Go Share to notify them of this unreliable and unprofessional driver, they never responded!!! The " no show" driver had sent us conformation two days before the move was scheduled by text. We texted him and called him on the day of the move and never received a response. Everyone was left hanging on this move out day, and we spent hours scrambling to try to get help and a vehicle at the last minute. A disaster ! Go share was happy to take our money and not respond to us. Go Share has No customer service, and is not there to assist the client when things go wrong. I've used Go share twice before and had excellent service. They were super quick, efficient, and very helpful... however my last experience was not so good. The driver clocked in his time soon as he pulled up which is standard but had charged me on HIS time while he spent the first 15 minutes organizing his 4 big tires, piles of wood to make room for my things! In terms of price, read carefully when booking. There is a base fee and a cost per minute. When selecting 'which vehicle' users have to hover over the small Information icon to read how there are minimums. Even if your delivery is a few blocks away, you'll pay the minimum. read more

Their prices are not low, they will charge you over time even when it does not apply to you. I signed up to have someone pick up furniture from one location and drop if off at another, the driving distance is 38 minutes, the driver took over an hour to get to me, I was charged for overtime. How is it my fault that the driver took longer than the trip says? what if he made stops, I asked the driver and even he was surprised they charged me over time. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE TO MOVE. There are better reliable services out there, they may be cheap at first until they charge you and oh, there is no way to cancel your account. What an amazing service! I posted my request and it was filled in less than 10 minutes. My driver was amazing! He was so accommodating as I had to change times. He met me at the gravel site, waited while they loaded 1 cubic yard of garden soil into his truck, then drove to my house and unloaded it. All in under an hour! He was very friendly. I had a terrible experience with this service. First, the driver was over an hour and a half late to the pick-up location because he had gone to the drop-off location. Then, he took over an hour to make a 30 minute drive. Also, we were under the impression that the price estimate included 20 minutes of loading/unloading, but that was not the case in our situation. As a result, we were charged twice what GoShare had estimated. I called GoShare, hoping they would be able to adjust the price due to their driver's mistake. However, they rudely disconnected my call twice and never returned my call to let me know if the price would be reduced. This would not fly in any established company. Other ride-share apps, such as Uber and Lyft, refund money for their drivers' errors. I would not recommend this service to anyone. Next time I will just rent a truck from Uhaul. read more

Our driver Fidencio was awesome and not a second was wasted. So efficient and convenient. We bought the mattress, placed the GoShare order and headed home to clear space. I used GoShare for the first time last week and was delighted at the service I received. I was at Costco contemplating how I could get a patio set home that was too large to put in my car. The set was not available for online delivery. One of the Costco employees told me about GoShare and within a few minutes, I had the app downloaded on my phone and had placed an order for a driver with a truck to pick up the patio set and deliver it to my house. I didn't even have to wait at Costco for the driver to arrive. My patio set was delivered within the hour and placed right in my backyard by the driver. THREE TIMES THE VALUE THAT WENT OUT OF OUR POCKET. He couldn't drive the I95 but the small streets. Despite that the claim was made RIGHT AWAY, Go Share charged the whole amount. It's amazing!! I ordered the service using their app then went home. Within an hour, a driver showed up in front of my condo with my items loaded up safely in his truck.
