I just used GoShare in San Diego for the 6th time in 7 years. The experience was a breeze like the ones before it. Definitely would do again and recommend. This time my driver and helper were John S (excellent at Jenga-ing things into his panel van) and Patrickson. They emptied our 10 * 15' storage unit in a shockingly fast 30 minutes. Moving into our new storage unit took 45 as they worked to place things where we wanted them. Previous times I've used just a driver + truck to move a heavy electric lift recliner; another time a heavy LaZBoy recliner; etc. It's always been a pleasure. read more

I bought a couch to be delivered to my apartment. The driver, Matteo and his helper, Miguel, employees of GoShare did an extremely lousy job in the delivery. These are supposedly movers and yet did not have with them a (furniture) dolly, tools, to bring my couch through the apartment building main door. They even asked me, the customer, if I had a dolly! What kind of mover does that?? And to top it all, these 2 damaged the wooden shelf on the side of my couch and wouldn't fess up to it. So please if you buy your furniture from Bob's Discount Furniture in Long Beach, CA, I suggest you either do it yourself or get another delivery company to deliver your furniture to your home if you want with clear of any damages. GoShare is a 3rd party contracted mover service with Bob's!! These two - Matteo and Miguel have no product knowledge whatsoever about furniture, and poor customer service. read more

NO STARS!!!! A Masterclass in Wasting Time - All My Sons, "Service Service," and GoShare If there were a competition for the most unprofessional, disorganized, and misleading moving experience, this trio of companies would win hands down. This morning, I called All My Sons Moving Company to ask if they could move three pieces of slate from a pool table--each roughly 30"x48", weighing about 150 lbs--down one flight of stairs into my garage. I was very clear about the job. They said "Yes, we can help." Then came excuse #1: my address was "outside their service area." No problem, they said--they'd connect me with their "partner" called Service Service. Enter Tea from "Service Service." She was polite, assured me the job was no issue, quoted about $100, and told me to be at the property at 1:30 PM. I drove two hours to be there on time. This is when the bait-and-switch became clear. I wasn't meeting "Service Service" at all--I was actually booked with a third company I'd never heard of: GoShare. At 1:22 PM, just minutes before the job, GoShare texted me (see screenshots) saying they couldn't fill my request and asking if I could "be flexible" or move the job to another day. Their reason? They don't actually schedule workers--they just send your request to a bunch of "independent contractors" and hope someone accepts it. In other words, there was never any guarantee anyone would show up. This, of course, was never mentioned by All My Sons or Tea. When I told them I'd already driven two hours based on the time Tea gave me, they admitted: * They can't guarantee service at any specific time. * They didn't even know if anyone would accept the job today--or ever. * Pool tables aren't normally something GoShare moves, and apparently, it's "not permitted" at all. This "not permitted" detail came out only after I'd committed my time, rented a trailer, and had a $100+ pending charge on my card. When I called All My Sons back, they refused to take responsibility, instead pointing me back to "Service Service," who then told me I'd have to drive another two hours tomorrow and pay even more money. Let's recap: * All My Sons promised the job could be done, then dumped me to a "partner" who dumped me to a completely different company without telling me. * I was given a firm time, but GoShare never had anyone confirmed to do the work. * I wasted four hours of driving and my entire afternoon for absolutely nothing. * Only after I pushed did they admit the job wasn't even allowed under their rules. * Not one company involved took any ownership for the screw-up. The lack of transparency here is appalling. The "partnership" between All My Sons, Service Service, and GoShare is nothing but a pass-the-buck disaster. I wouldn't trust these companies to move a cardboard box across the street. Bottom line: If you want honesty, reliability, or accountability--look elsewhere. read more

This was in southern New Jersey for a pickup at the Costco in Mt Laurel. App is subpar. Estimate is low and then they add to the charges after the fact. They tell you didn't indicate everything you wanted in the order, but I did. Their app is so confusing that they probably didn't see it. When I got the final charge, it was another 50% over the original estimate which was already high enough. I truly appreciate that you can get somebody fast to help you with a delivery, but the driver arrived an hour late. The driver and the helper were incredibly professional and did a great job but dealing with goshare and their horrible app and trying to get my order in their app was a nightmare. I would not recommend them to anyone. If I were a nasty person, I would cancel the charge on my credit card and fight them on it but I don't want to go through the hassle. I hope they're happy that they got an extra couple hundred dollars from me because I would not recommend them to anyone. This is the first bad service review I have ever written. Normally if I have a subpar experience, it's not a big deal but this one was a mess from start to finish. The director of customer service replied to my email with incorrect information. They charged me even though I had sent an email asking for a review and then I wanted to be contacted before I was charged for the final invoice. They should be ashamed of themselves. Please don't use them. There's a high chance that you will be overcharged in the end and there's nothing you can do about it. Again, five stars for the professionals that helped me that day, even though the driver was late, he was awesome. But zero stars for GoShare itself. And they should get a real professional programmer to do their app to get out all the bugs in it. read more

This is my 3rd time using GoShare, and I have not been disappointed, ever! The App is so easy to use, and is very reliable from quote to service. William and Brian were my movers this time around. Both were so professional, yet personable, they got the job done quickly and efficiently. As a client, we need to be as complete on what we need to move, to where and how heavy, etc. please don't book 1 person to do a job that you KNOW will take 2 people! ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. Hired GS to move a simple couch a few miles and carry up one flight of stairs. 2 guys arrived with couch, attempted to carry up stairs, while putting a hole in my wall, a huge gouge in my hardwood floors, and scratching/damaging the leather couch. After giving up on the stairs route, the GS guys then attempted to get me to pay them more cash to walk the couch around back to slider door. I declined, so they left the couch standing on end, in my foyer blocking the front door. "Customer Service" initially responded to a my damage complaint, then went silent and didn't respond further. I had to hire and pay additional movers to move the couch, a painter to fix my wall, and am currently working on a solution and cost to fix my wood floor. Infuriating experience, DO NOT hire this company. I'm down approximately $2000 in home repairs and a damaged new couch, due to their negligence and unprofessionalism. read more

Be advised that Goshare does not stand behind their services. They falsely advertise that they are insured making you feel like you are protected when you hire them. NOT TRUE! I was selling a piece of furniture and the buyer sent GoShare to my home to pick up the item. The two guys were inexperienced and damaged several places on my beautiful hardwood floors and continued to ruin the front brick step as they dragged a metal furniture cart out the door without any floor protection. They did not wrap the furniture in advance and I watched them drop the piece of furniture on my driveway. I filed a claim with Goshare. I went back and forth with them for months getting them estimate after estimate and in the end they refused to pay one penny to reimburse me for having my floor refinished. Big shout out to GoShare! Moises Hayton and Matthew Sobke accepted my order through the GoShare app. Together they loaded a purchase in one part of town and delivered to my address within 25 minutes. I received an estimate, their photos and names ahead of the job. I was able to relay the info to the seller (perfect theft prevention tool.)A message came through at the time of their arrival to the pick up spot. Very soon after, two well-groomed, pleasant individuals arrived at my door. The item arrived in perfect condition. 25 minutes later? These guys had ferried this large antique (in two pieces) through a narrow passage and expertly slid it into a tight corner-no scratches or dents to the item or to my home. BUYERS & MOVERS BEWARE. You want to hire honest people that you can trust. GoShare is not it. I'd move my own furniture and risk hurting myself before I would ever use this service again. I purchased a mattress and used GoShare for the delivery from the furniture store to our home. What appeared to be an easy and clean delivery ended with me being scammed for more money than I was told I would be charged and lies from the delivery drivers on the length of delivery and the services provided. I received a quote for $118.11 for 60 min or less. You are charged every minute over the 60 minute limit. My drivers arrived to the furniture store promptly at 12:30pm, which is when I arranged for the delivery to be picked up. The furniture store called me to confirm. The distance from the furniture store to my home is 35 min or so. They arrived to deliver my furniture at 1:21pm. They entered my home at 1:24pm and left at 1:28pm. (Was caught on my ring doorbell). The delivery took a total of 58 min. Awesome - I did not exceed the 60 min so my total should be $119.00, matching the original quote. I received my final receipt and was charged $134.42. After looking at the receipt, GoShare claims the delivery took 72 min. I sent screenshots from the Ring doorbell to GoShare to have this corrected and I asked for a refund. They agreed that the timeframes matched when the delivery took place. They then went on to say that their 'Delivery Pros' said that they provided the additional service of moving furniture around, which is the reason for the additional cost. They offered a $10 promotion for a future delivery. (I will not be using their services again, especially after being lied to). The bedroom is at the front of the house NEXT to the front door. There was no furniture in the room except for the bedframe and box springs, which was in place, ready for the mattress to be placed on top. There was nothing blocking their way that required any movement and we did not ask them to move any furniture. They came, they put the mattress on the box spring and left. Clean and simple. I advised that the delivery people did not move any furniture nor did I ask them to do so and I requested a refund yet again. No refund has been issued and they stand firm behind the lie that their delivery people moved furniture, which justifies the extra fee. They stated they will not be refunding me. (Not even the $10) I had to dispute this with my bank to get my money back and have filed a claim with the BBB. read more

It's basically like Uber with muscle and a large truck to help you move stuff. I don't believe a lot of people are aware of this service. I've used it now in California and Illinois and having someone respond quickly to a request for transportation and help can be a lifesaver. I've used GoShare for help getting hefty craigslist items home with no other option, and recently GoShare helped us with an apartment clean out donation drop off and trash dump (of epic proprtions). Every time we have had luck with helpful QUICK and professional can-do help! I can't tell you how grateful we were to look around and see everything gone from our previous hard work, as the GoShare guys we lucked into, carted everything away in minutes. If I could give negative stars, I would. This was the worst moving experience I have ever had - and I've moved a lot. All I requested was for them to move a mattress, desconstructed bed, and a six drawer dresser about 10 miles. They dragged the mattress down the stairs, and when I asked them to please lift it up, they said, "it's heavy." They proceeded to continue dragging it down the stairs without protective covering. I now have a huge hole in my brand new mattress. They ruined the mattress topper on it; it is stained and full of rips. They handed it to me after they "moved" it and said, "You should probably throw this out." I filed a damage claim and also contacted management immediately. I still have not heard back. Furthermore, this very simple move cost over $400. A complete rip off for very poor service. read more

This company is awful.There is a reason why they have multiple 1 star reviews on Google.My experience was I paid for two delivery guys to move 7 different items varying in size and weight.Sounds easy right?The second delievery guy never showed up so the first delievery guy only moved one item, the lightest item.He delievered the one item and said were done.I had to pay full price for maybe 15% of the move.The next day I called their competitor Lugg.Lugg is a real professional company. Lugg moved all the items in less time than Go Share took to move one items for less money.I will never ever use GoShare again after this experience.You shouldn't either.Save yourself having to call two different companies and just call Lugg first. read more

My experience with GoShare has been positive. I've used them a handful of times and each experience has been good. For example, a dining set for 6, awkwardly packed, a patio set bought on Craig's List, furniture purchased at an estate sale.... Things that I couldn't remotely get in my car, nor manage without muscled and creative loading help. The challenge for me is estimating the vehicle-size needed, and the weights of items. But shortly after entering the parameters on the ap, the driver calls and there's opportunity to explain what's needed. The drivers are friendly and helpful. I suggest good communication to calculate cost to minimize unpleasant surprises. Keep in mind the calculated cost, is still an estimate. I further suggest ensuring the driver knows pick-up details and delivery requirements. They are not professional movers just like Uber/Lyft drivers are not professional drivers. It's unfair to equate GoShare to Professional movers. If cost is a concern, I suggest comparison shopping before the delivery is required. Compare competitor cost, and lead time. I have hired movers for small jobs and those that will take small jobs, may charge a fee for showing up before the work is started, or have a minimum cost. The GoShare drivers have carried items in to where I wanted them. I'm unsure if this is their practice or if I got lucky. Again, it's good to indicate your expectations to anyone who moves your things. I suggest you plan to either help the drivers load/unload at both ends or tell them in advance if multiple people will be needed to lift and load items in and out of a truck bed, or if a dolly would be helpful. It's often not the weight but the awkwardness of things. Hiring movers or renting a truck for a single purchase/item can be expensive and a hassle. Go Share is convenient, reliably available, doesn't hassle your friends who happen to own trucks, and cost-effective in my experience even after a gratuity. I would not consider GoShare for a big job, although maybe. But for those pallets of impulse purchases at Costco or Home Depot, or that unplanned purchase at an auction... I would, and have, recommended GoShare to others who like me, wish we had access to trucks a few times a year. read more

After buying a piece of furniture on FB marketplace, I was desperately looking for a way to transport it. After multiple disasters trying to find a task rabbit (misleading hours available, misleading rates that didn't specify hourly minimums or significant extra fees), I was so glad to learn about GoShare. Literally with a click of a button I was able to book someone for the right time at a cost lower than what taskrabbit would have charged. I was a little nervous that there wasn't much opportunity for comms with the person doing the work in advance, but they provided the phone number so I could call him the morning of and confirm details. He was great - on time (early!) and helped with moving the furniture. The project took longer than expected due to challenges beyond our control, and it was great to have a transparent rate for overtime in advance (so I knew we were paying our driver and also knew we wouldn't be slapped with a big extra fee). Never heard of GoShare until my wife found a beautiful drafting desk for our office at a local store. I went to look at it with her and then realized the thing weighed nearly 300lbs. The associate at the store told us about GoShare. I quickly downloaded the app, put in the details of item and when/where to deliver and go an instant quote. Anthony F and Courtney B were the guys sent for the job and they were awesome. The app kept me informed of their status. Upon arrival, they took great care in moving the item and even used a ceran wrap type of product to keep the doors and drawers from opening. It was heavy! They did a great job though coming up the front steps, slowly through the main door and then into the office. I would highly recommend GoShare if you need help moving stuff. They have lots of options so that you can customize what you need for your specific job. Will consider in the future for sure! read more

I had a 5ft media console delivered to my empty apartment by this company. The property manager was nice enough to let him in before occupancy. When I moved in the console was facing the wall and the door was detached. The hinges were bent and the holes in the console were stripped. The property manager said the mover was alone and had a difficult time manipulating a 5 ft media center by himself and up a flight of stairs. The company will not respond. They don't have a phone I can call. I'm so disappointed and would never recommend using them. read more

Downloaded the app at Costco. Price was significantly more than the estimate (+$250) and almost as much as the bedroom set I ordered. They also put a hold on my credit card which was to be released once the full price was charged. I had to have my credit card company dispute that charge, it was removed almost 30 days later. The two gentlemen unpacked the furniture, by literally tearing the boxes to shreds and leaving the mess to cover my entire garage floor. It took them two +hours to move the bed and dresser up 3 flights to the bedroom, after which the helper made a quick exit with my box cutter. I paid extra ($75) to have the bed assembled. It was put together backwards and I had to take it apart and redo it myself. They dented every wall and scratched or marred every step and landing. I filed a claim with GoShare and after requiring professional estimates (3) and pictures they told me they were denying the claim. I fell for this one, my age must be affecting my judgement. I also have contacted Costco. Order online and use Costco white glove delivery, waaayyy cheaper! RE GoShare reply: almost 3 hours is excessive for three flights of stairs. This service is very convenient for anyone who needs help and doesn't want to go thru the hassle of renting a truck and/or being a burden on friends to help with transport.
