Their warranty on work done was another key factor. An electrician found a dead rat and droppings in the attic, so I needed clean up and rodent proofing. In the crawl space, a bunch of the ducts were unattached by wear and tear and plumbing work that had been done in the past (which I didn't know. No wonder my gas bill was so high over the winter!). Shannon and team cleaned everything up, sanitized, reattached the ducts and rodent proofed the whole house on the outside. Apparently the attic was vulnerable, as prior owners' foam had been chewed through in the eaves. After they were done they set traps which will be checked every few weeks. I will update if there are any further rodents but I am confident in the work by the company and team. I highly recommend this family owned company.

The guy who came out was on time, a bit eccentric and very passionate about rats. He was detail oriented and did a great job explaining the job and its breakdown. Unfortunately on the day of the job, we had 4 guys come to our home on time- but none of them spoke English. Now, I appreciate them coming out, but we just could not communicate and they did not have work trucks or shirts with their company name. An hour later, we had a younger guy show up and he spoke English. The crew worked really fast, did a nasty job of removing our rodent infested insulation and put in new insulation, they mixed concrete and patched up some holes as well and put out rat traps. They came back twice to check the traps and removed them. I think they did a good job, appreciate their punctuality. But management should always send someone who speaks some English and provide a company truck or at least shirts. I personally felt uncomfortable letting into my home a group of random men with no identification.

I called a few places and had some folks come out to scope the issue, but none of them could offer a solid plan to treat the wasps effectively since it was on the 2nd floor and above my porch roof so hard to get to and providers wouldn't allow workers on the roof. I spoke to Daniel and he suggested that the nest might be inside the attic and to have effective treatment, you need to get at the source. Pest Protection Services was willing to get into the attic and treat the nest or potentially access the outside and spray a solution directly into the attic vents from the exterior. Justin came by the next day, went into the attic and sprayed where the nest was. It pretty much killed all the wasps and issue went away. The one-time pricing was competitive, particularly for the job needed, and I am going to switch to PPS for my recurring service. A bit cheaper than a larger provider I've had for past 4+ years. PPS is responsive, helpful, friendly, attentive to the details and got the job done. Highly recommend!

I received a flat rate price estimate shortly after starting a Yelp project on July 5th from this company. They were quick to respond and gave a price that was reasonable compared to others that responded and offered to come out next day. Dennis came the next day and communicated well prior to his arrival. Dennis explained what he would do well. Dennis made quick work of that wasp nest and knocked it off my roof eave before taking it away. All in all, I'd say he was here for no longer than 20 minutes. He recommended servicing our residence as well as the eaves to further prevent wasps from returning and to prevent other pests from visiting, but was not pushy about the service. I would recommend this company to others.

He did an inspection and provided a very reasonable quote (compared to what our neighbors had paid to other providers). It's rare to find a reliable, quality, one-man shop - Jaime at Pestfinders is that diamond in the rough that I can't recommend enough.

First of all, on the first visit, within ten minutes, the technician had spotted an entry point on our roof that was likely the cause of our isse. It wasn't obvious and the previous service we used (one of the larger services in our area) hadn't spotted this. Another thing that I noticed was the respect and care the technician showed at our house. It's a small thing, but when the technician entered our house he noticed that we had shoes by the door and went ahead and removed his shoes when making his way to our attic. Taken all together our technician was detail oriented, respectful, and thorough. And he solved our problem. On top of this the price point was comparable or even less than the larger company that we had used previously. I would highly recommend Pestfinders to others.

Unfortunately, I had another occasion recently to need pest control services in connection with a rat problem I was having. We had used a different service provider 9 months or so earlier and had the problem under control until it wasn't again! The earlier exclusion work that had been performed had been compromised. I had found the likely place they were getting in and had reset traps in the basement; but, because I had had such a good experience earlier with Fermin and Certech, I called them up to get their professional experience and assessment. As was the earlier case with the Ant issue, they were responsive to my call, came out within 24 hours, and just brought a huge dose of professionalism and reasonableness. I don't know what it is with the pest business; but, I just always feel like I am being fed a bunch of scare tactics, oversold, and then left in the end too often with an ineffective solution , a long-term contract and difficulty in following up once they have the contract. That just hasn't been the case with Certech and it stands out as different from their competitors and is also so refreshing. Fermin was as patient, friendly and knowledgeable as he had been when he came out to our house earlier for the ants, and he worked with me to acknowledge the work already done and then advise and recommend only what incrementally needed to be done. He even helped me clear the catches I had in the traps I had set and rebait them. He also confirmed my assessment on the place they were likely getting in and helped me reclose that; but, also took it upon himself to do a comprehensive search for other exclusion gaps including up on the roof when he noticed a place our oak tree was touching the house. At the end, once again differentiating themselves from their competition, there were no exorbitant charges for the visit and no hard sell for a continuing contract. He was so honest he even told me I should be fine now with how things were and just to keep monitoring the exclusion areas and check the traps now and then. And, to call them again if I ever need them. So refreshing and, once again, renewing my faith that friendly, quality, professional service is still available in our community.

The day of the appointment, at the time of the appointment, I received a txt message from the technician mentioning that they would not be able to make the appointment as they were double booked. He proposed to re-schedule the appointment. I had already taken the morning off to meet the technician, with hours and income loss. But, I decided to re-schedule for the upcoming Tuesday. Tuesday comes around, and again I take time-off work and income loss to meet with the Technician, and they don't show up the appointment. This was the second time of missed work and income. I reached out to the Company to advice them and they prompted that they could reschedule me, but at this point my trust was already broken. The Company didn't take my time seriously. Company's should learn to appreciate that their customers are taking time out of their day to meet with these technicians, which translates to missed income or having to substitute the time-off with vacation time that can be used for the family.

I have a big rat problem. I can hear them in my walls. So I went to the Yellow Pages, and telephoned Got Rats to eliminate the problem. I was charged $650.00 for the service, which was incompetent, to say the least. It's a good thing that I charged it on my credit card, as I called the credit card company, and had the charges reversed. This is what occurred: They sent over a technician that was more than just incompetent. His brain must have been scrambled! He removed bricks from the landscaping in my front yard, and placed them in my backyard to plug up the space between the bottom of the house and the dirt! He also removed rocks from my backyard that were part of the landscaping, and put them in the same area to plug up the space between the bottom of my house and the dirt. He also removed dirt from my garden area that was in that space, and piled that dirt against the bottom of the house, also! I couldn't believe it! He is supposed to have the equipment to do the job, and not to remove a customer's landscaping , such as bricks, rocks, and dirt to do the job! He must have been on drugs! He also broke the ceiling light fixture covering that was in the laundry room, when he removed it to place the rat traps there. The covering was Plexiglas, and he broke off a sizeable piece of it, about the size of a hand. I noticed that when I had someone come over to remove the rat traps that were placed there. He noticed that a chunk of the plastic was broken off. I didn't notice it, as I don't usually look up at the light fixture. Also, the person who came over to place the rat traps up there was a different person than the guy who did a half way job. That first person left without putting the rat traps up. The person who came to put the rat traps up was the supervisor. He was the supervisor? Wow! He was going to put only ONE rat trap up there! He had stated before that when he looked up there that there were at least 12 rats up there. So he was going to only put up ONE rat trap! I looked at that rat trap, and nearly vomited! For $650.00, he was going to put up a wooden rat trap that was black from filth! You know the wood kind of traps and the light color of those traps. I was ready to vomit! I said don't put that filthy trap up there! He countered by saying that the rats go into dumpsters, so that it would be o.k. I've seen cleaner dumpsters! I said again; don't put that filthy rat trap up there! So he went back to his truck and got a cleaner rat trap! For $650.00 I hope so! He is also the one who broke my Plexiglas ceiling light cover. The other employee wasn't in that area, as he had left without doing the job right, or even completing it! Again, both the supervisor and the employee were incompetent! The employee removes my landscaping from both my front yard and backyard to do the job, and the supervisor breaks my Plexiglas light cover, and wants to put up a filthy rat trap up in the ceiling. He wants to only put up one rat trap, when earlier he had said that he saw about a dozen rats up there! At least put up 6 or 8 rat traps, and not one that looks like the Bubonic Plague! Again, thank god that I paid by credit card. I had the charges reversed. I have the broken piece of Plexiglas, and have taken pictures of where he had removed the bricks from my front yard, and put them in the back yard, along with my landscaping rocks piled up against the house, and the pile of dirt also piled up against the house! The rats can go through the dirt. The dirt is no barrier. Try another company. I spoke with someone who used Kill Roy pest control. Or try Clark's pest control. They are a major company, and would hopefully do the job right. I will get another company to do the job right. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but after reading some of the ones on here, I feel it only fair that I share my experience with Got Rats. If the reviews are true, then at the very least, I have to credit the company for making great improvements. It is probably also true that most people feel compelled to write a review after they've had a bad experience rather than a good one, so here is my honest experience with the company. We had rats in our attic and a SKUNK, which had been terrorizing us for months, in our crawlspace. The skunk was a repeat performance and the landlord had thought he had successfully sealed off the crawlspace. The skunk sprayed one morning at 5:45 as the heat blower kicked on and the smell came through the HVAC to the entire house. Awful experience. Brandon came out, appraised the situation and gave a quote to the landlord While the landlord said the cost was high, they eventually negotiated a price and three guys from Got Rats showed up the next morning at 8 AM. They worked all day. They completely removed all traces of the skunk smell in the crawl space and completely removed all rat droppings there and in the attic. I was so shocked that they were able to get rid of the skunk smell! (All we had to do after is launder some linens and have the carpets steam cleaned.) They also sealed off the perimeter of the house with a cement trench and sealed any access points from the neighbor's house (we are in a duplex), where the skunk actually got in and in the attic. They left the place, including the upstairs bedroom closet, which has the access point to the attic, completely clean and were very careful when moving the scores of large, black, plastic bags of insulation through the small opening out through the house to the garage. They replaced all the contaminated insulation in the 2nd floor ceiling. Not a small job. I found the guys amiable, very respectful, and conscientious. They left several new traps with food in them in the attic and crawl space under the house before they left. They also hauled away every last piece of rubbish. They then came back, as the said they would, at the appointed time and day to check the traps. It's been 2 months now and not a rat or skunk has made a reappearance, so I have to say they did their job well and according to their agreement --and it has worked! I started w researching what company has the best reviews for this rodent infestation. I always go to Yelp first. I also looked at our local home magazines that come to Clayton. I found this company but some of the reviews were not what I expected. However after reading the reviews and the contrast of either really loving this company or really hating on this company, I decided to call them for a quote and judge for myself. Lots of haters out there these days. Anyhow, that said, From the point of first contact, I immediately confirmed that I had made the absolute right decision to call Got Rats. The front office gals were kind, and extremely accommodating to my schedule. Armando showed up exactly at time promised. He was very diligent about pointing out problem areas. He gave me a discount after explaining to him the research I did about their company and that I still decided to use them. His workers showed up on time and date promised. Front Office called to give me heads up with a 15 min arrival time prior to Moses and Carlos being at my front door. They worked fast, they cleaned up after themselves. They smiled. They "Thanked Me" for giving them the opportunity to do the job. I can say that kind of customer service is only found at NORDSTROMS!! You all know what I'm talking about. No one wants to even acknowledge that they have a rodent problem, but if you have one, you want to take care of it, and you want to call "Got Rats Rodent Proofing." Here are the main reasons you want to call Got Rats: - For both the quote and the actual work, the guys were on-time, even early. - They schedule follow-up visits to make sure they did it right. As many as you need. - They are very professional. - They handle the clean-up underneath the house or in your attic, and trust me, cleaning up after rodents is disgusting. - They do more stuff than you think. In our house, the rodents burrowed into the insulation and made nests. Nasty. As part of our job the guys removed all the nasty soiled insulation and disposed of it. Included in the quote. Plus, they will re-install insulation if you want . - They get the work done within the time frame that they promise. Brandon had an army of guys descend upon our house to make sure the job was finished in a day as promised. - They employ a real nice group of young workers who were very earnest and very polite. - They clean up after themselves. Cant say enough good things about this company! They were clean, quick, affordable, and got the job right (which wasn't the same for the other company I tried that I won't name here)! The owner has a wealth of knowledge and really goes above and beyond to get the job done. We planted a vegetable garden this year and live by a field, but never realized until our veggies started showing up with bites out of them that we had rodents visiting our yard. I am terrified of rats and couldn't even bare the thought of one sneaking into my house. The company came and explained to me areas that rats and other rodents can get into around the house and explained how the job would be done. The owner really took the time to explain the process and I felt like I was a rodent specialist after talking with him and learning about the process. The company came and sealed up any holes around my deck and house that rodents could possible enter and set traps to catch the ones that were sneaking onto our property. One of the servicemen came by daily to check and gather the traps which was nice because I didn't have to worry about seeing or smelling something I didn't like. After all the traps were collected my problem seemed to disappear. Since Got Rats has come there are no more critters sneaking bites and I am the only one left to enjoy my garden. Let's see I am so impressed by got rats. My dad came over and tried for a month to get rid of these mic/ rats. Bless him, but the problem wasn't getting any better. They some how made it into my house and made their home under my dishwasher. I could never figure out where they were coming from. I called got rats they came out and immediately figured out that they were living behind the dishwasher. When they pulled out the dishwasher I couldn't believe the mess and the damages that were caused. Better yet how I could be living with these nasty things in my home. They immediately vacuumed and sprayed cleaner on the area. They also noticed that there were a few spots around the outside of the air conditioner unit that they could be getting into too. The next day they came out and closed the holes that's the rats were coming in through and finished cleaning up the mess. They came back I think like 4 more times to collect the rats that were on the traps. I would recommend that after you hire them make sure when they leave you call and make your next appointment. I've noticed that their appointments do fill up fast. The process in all took about 3 weeks to complete. I feel like the $900 was well spent money. read more

I would recommend got rats to anyone whom has rodent problems they were great and a job well done. After using many different company's with promise to get rid of my rodent problems with no results I found myself at a dead end. I then got online and started to do some research. I found got rats I have to admit the reviews weren't always great but for the other company's I found reviews were great but service was not so great, so I thought I try one more company it won't hurt anything, but my pocket. I called this company person answering phone was great very helpful I stressed to them that this was the third company I had been to and how stressed I was about my rodent problem. They were able to send someone out right away. Got Rats closed off all entrances to my house and set traps in the attic and around the house, promising to come back a few days later. I though here we go there not going to come back or show up, but I was beside myself when the came back to check the traps. I am so happy to say that my rodent problem is finally fixed. I would give this company the best thumbs up and recommended them to many friends who used them and had great results as well. read more

We had been battling a rat infestation to no avail for almost 2 years. Several rodent services have come to our home, promising to solve the problem, but we really didn't know what "GREAT & COMPLETE service was until we called "Got Rats" TJ the owner, came on the first call. Actually crawled the attic and underneath crawl space, took pictures of what was really going on there and then provided an estimate. The estimate was reasonable given the mess he found in both places. Then TJ and his team went to work. They removed all the insulation that was destroyed (man those rats can cause some serious damage!!!) cleaned and sanitized the whole space, then performed a real exclusion, since they could now see where they might be entering. They set traps, then came back and checked on the traps regularly, and now we are just about to have the new insulation installed. We are confident the rats are gone! whewwww However, we are even more confident that should we hear anything remotely like the sound of a rat, we can call TJ and his team will be right out to assist. We waited to write this review until we were confident the problem had been solved. The building with the rat problem is old (1916) with sketchy construction, and outdoor access to some of the walls for inspection is almost impossible. Thus, our job took several visits to find and patch all of the entry points. We saw decreasing rat activity from the first work that was done, then had evidence of new activity. Got Rats fellows crawled into some very tiny places, found the breach, and fixed it. It has been about a month since we've seen any evidence of rats. When you have a rat infestation, particularly is you start getting rat mite bites as we did, it is frustrating to not have an immediate result, but it takes time to get rid of them completely. It can take a period of time to find all of the entry points. I advise patience, constant monitoring for signs of activity, and regular communication with the company. The workers were on time for our appointments and very nice to work with. I appreciate that they do not even consider using poison as is it has terrible repercussions on other wild life. read more

I'm not one to usually write reviews, but I had such a great experience with this company. I had to share it. I discovered Rats in my house about three months ago and I've tried everything to get rid of them. I've called several companies and got several quotes and the best bang for my buck was with Got Rats Rodent Proofing , Terry was my inspector and he was so nice. He explained the whole process to me and gave me a lot of confidence in his ability to take care of my problem. What was even better was that I didn't have to wait, when I called to schedule my inspection they scheduled me for the next day, and then once I approve the quote the work was done the day after that! Now here it is a couple weeks later and a few trap check appointments in and the rats are caught and I'm not hearing any noises. They've been very responsive to my phone calls, they work with my schedule and I couldn't be more happier! They went above and beyond in helping us seal up every entry point, and they even found a very large hole where the rats had been getting in for years. Rats are disgusting, but when they live in the attic and manage to bring microscopic mites into the house, they are even worse. This started in April, when the rats moved in and got worse in May when we started getting bitten by mites. We had a tough problem and Clark was not getting to the bottom of it. They'd trap, then recommend how to rat proof and we'd do it and still have rats coming in. Finally Clark brought three guys over, went into the attic and crawlspace and determined that our roof rats were getting in UNDER the foundation. Seriously? We needed a second opinion so we called Got Rats. First, they assured us the foundation theory was probably wrong, roof rats are called roof rats for a reason. They rat proofed in half a day and guaranteed their work. They came back about every 4 days to check traps, and remove dead rats. Yay! Within a week, no more noises, within two weeks, no more bites. We have relied upon Got Rats to keep our residence as pest-free as possible. Their representatives did an excellent job removing old attic insulation and replacing it after extensive damage by roof rats. This job was difficult due to the narrow access in some parts of the attic, yet the workers were persistent and managed to extract everything. They were also very conscious of the keeping the rest of the house clean and generally succeeded. Since that major service, we have had Got Rats personnel setting and checking traps for the past year. We recently had another rat in the crawl space this winter and the Got Rats technicians were very diligent about returning and resetting traps. We have worked with Armando and Cordell who are both very polite, competent, and pleasant to work with. Armando has been especially creative in designing new barriers for some of the troublesome entry points. Pest-proofing is difficult and they do it well. We are very pleased with the service and will continue to rely upon Got Rats in the future. read more

I had a pretty bad rat problem in 3 different areas of my home. There was significant damage and rat droppings everywhere. The task of sifting through all my damaged storage has been overwhelming. I gave 5 stars to this company for a few reasons. First because they could come out fast. 2nd they were competitive price wise. 3rd is because they came out when they said they would and did a great job. However the most important reason to me is because they were very nice from beginning to end. My quote came from a young man named Andrew who was just a nice likeable guy. He answered all my questions, took my phone calls with more questions, explained everything, saw the job through form start to finish and was helpful to me while the job was being done. The 2 other men who helped were equally as nice and I was comfortable with them in my home. The fellow who came for follow up checks was there with a smile. They gave me a two year guarantee and tho this is all new I am confident that they will honor that warranty. read more

However, I believe his quote was indicative of thinking we had 9K to blow on a service we already had and was familiar with. I then contacted Uriel and we discussed the quote. We had a great conversation and understood they didn't do the initial work, although I had a quote of $1700 in 2020. I reached out to the initial contractor and was quoted $2000. He indicated no infestation, no insulation needed to be replaced and he took a picture of where the open spaces were where rodents were coming in which was on top of our garage, not the crawl space. To those reading this review make sure you request multiple estimates before going with this company. This was an opportunity to gouge a customer and I was extremely offended by their quote.

Moshe came out right away, inspected everything, and gave us a very reasonable quote to seal all of the entry points, clean and sanitize the attic, deodorize the space, remove all of the old insulation, and eventually replace it with new insulation. One of the biggest concerns for me was cleanliness. We had just installed brand new carpet upstairs, and the attic entrance is right there. Moshe covered everything in plastic and actually created a contained tunnel from the attic all the way downstairs and out the door so the old insulation and debris never traveled through the house. That made me feel much more comfortable about having the work done. Moshe and his team were fast, clean, and efficient, but what I appreciated most was how thorough Moshe was. He took the time to explain everything, sent us detailed photos, and never made us feel rushed. Because we have two attic spaces that connect along the roofline, Moshe did not just seal everything and immediately put down new insulation. He left traps in place and came back for several weeks to make sure there were no rats still hiding somewhere or finding another way in. Only after we were all comfortable that the problem was completely resolved did he install the new insulation. I really appreciated that because the last thing I wanted was to spend money on new insulation and have it ruined again. 4 years later, we still have the trap up there and have not had another rat problem. Recently, we had a completely separate issue with yellow jackets that made an opening near the roofline and got inside the roof area. After pest control handled the yellow jackets, I called Moshe just to ask whether the opening needed some kind of special repair. He came out the very next morning, walked the perimeter of both rooflines, found a few small areas that had shifted or opened over the years, sealed the area where the yellow jackets got in, and even went back into the attic to make sure everything was still secure and there was no evidence of rats. There wasn't. What really impressed me is that this was years after the original work, and he still came out as a courtesy to check everything. That says a lot about the kind of person he is and how he runs his business. Another thing I really appreciate is that when you call Attic Kings, you actually get Moshe. You are not dealing with an automated system, a call center, or a different person every time. He is very hands-on, and the people he brings with him have always been professional, respectful and clean. We even scheduled the original work while we were away from the house, and I felt completely comfortable trusting Moshe and his team in our home. His pricing was competitive, the value was excellent, and most importantly, the work has held up for 4 years. It is getting harder to find small businesses where the owner still answers the phone, shows up personally, stands behind the work, and cares about maintaining a relationship with customers long after the job is finished. He didn't find anything in the traps but reset them to be safe. Sure enough, something took the bait because we heard it go off! Jose came back shortly after and discovered 2 mice (thankfully no rats), found a gap where the roof met the garage and sealed it up. He ran an ozone generator as a precaution for any smells. A couple weeks after that we heard faint sounds again. Jose returned, found one more entry point, sealed it, and since then there's been total silence! This is the ONLY solution for keeping rats and mice out of buildings, by effectively blocking entry. They use absolutely no poisons. This is an ethical business that does the job right with no harm to wildlife in the food chain. We are out of their immediate area and there was a small charge for an advance site visit and estimate which was then applied as a credit to our bill. Thank you for a great job Rat Trappers! Our 100 year old garage and pump house are clean and free of critters again.
