Drove by the place a few times, finally my curiosity got to me and i decided to pop in. Your usual to go asian join. Crappy decor, over lit, a bit confusing. Menu scared me right off the bat! Too many things that had nothing to do with each other! Service was super nice and very welcoming! Had some stuff to go...i believe some egg rolls, a soup (not sure what soup, probably won ton ) and a pad thai. There is a strange counter with the condiments, on the side of the cash register...you have to go help yourself with forks, and sauces and napkins... not a bad thing - just saying. Wasn't anything special, i actually did not eat most of the food....Everything was bland and under seasoned, with very little taste. I don't like giving bad reviews...but it crewed up my night. They have good tasting chicken. Only thing I'd say is double check your food before you leave I've gotten wrong orders a few times. Everything I've had was good though so no complaints. I've had better pork fried rice the type of grain they use is kinda odd to me but will update when I try more of the Vietnamese food. read more

Every time I make an appointment in this area of town I make sure it's NOT on a Tuesday, because that's the only day Got Rice? is closed. Fabulous fresh, fresh food. Friendly, patient, helpful staff. Eat indoors or out. Or use take-away. I ordered my favorite - beef with broccoli. I chose the egg roll (substantial and packed and crispy) over the soup, and brown rice over white or fried. I've avoided chinese for quite some time because I grew tired of eating grease. We stopped here by sheer chance after leaving Tuesday Morning. I was first surprised at the small corner restaurant, tucked away quaintly in the plaza. The place was packed and the food looked great, both of which were telling. Hubby and I got chicken Mangolia, and Wow. Not too sweet, very flavorful. Maybe a little too crispy that night (2nd and 3rd orders weren't). The fried rice was definitely something to write home about. It tasted of freshly made ingredients and was excellent in flavor. Great lunch stop today. They are mostly takeout with a few tables outside and inside. Usually I am skeptical of places whose menu covers multiple cuisines but our group had on Chinese dish, one Thai and one Vietnamese and they nailed them all. I've been on a hunt for a good Chinese take-out place here in South Florida for the past 3 years. I think I've finally found one. Got Rice? is tucked away in a shopping center not visible to the road. I've notice the sign while driving to work for a while but it just didn't attract me. One random day in October, I was heading to Lowe's with my brother when we were dying from starvation. We decided to go on a limb and check them out. We are so thankful we did. This place has a very limited menu compared to the typical Chinese Take out we are all used to. With a 2 page menu, they offered a Chinese Vietnamese fusion. We ordered hot & sour soup, sweet & sour chicken, beef & broccoli, and orange shrimp. Yes... That's a lot of food for two people, but we were hungry and wanted to try a variety of food. The portions were a decent size. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I recommend everyone to check them out. I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. read more

just tried this place 2 days ago. we got chicken noodle soup, which was by far the best tasting and full of flavor chicken noodle soup that I have ever got at a casual Chinese place. I got beef low mein and my husband had general tso chicken with egg roll. Both were delicious and fresh. Let's talk about service, this alone will bring me back here to eat. Very attentive and quick. Apparently General Tso was a real guy. Tso Tsungtang was a war hero during China's greatest civil war, the Taiping Rebellion (1850-1864). But this very real general had absolutely nothing to do with the battered and sauced chicken that now bears his name. In fact, it's unknown to the whole of Hunan province, Tso's home. What is known around these parts is that Got Rice restaurant in WPB makes the best General Tso's chicken. Over the last 6 months, I order it takeout every few weeks. I get the combo (wonton soup for me or egg roll) with fried rice. Tonight I decided to eat at the restaurant. Tiffany (server/owner?) remembered what I like. I get it with no broccoli. Excellent. Seating is limited. 18 seats indoors, 8 seats outside. Nice decor, pleasant instrumental music in the background. If you are in West Palm Beach, I recommend Got Rice. We had a little of everything ... potstickers, fried rice, lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, General Tso's, egg drop soup, Pho, and it goes on. Great food with a welcoming atmosphere. The owner truly cares about the entrees and her customers. It's very small inside but they have added outside seating that is out of the sun. If your picky about where u like to sit, u may want to choose off hours. Believe me, it's worth it regardless. My lunch special was just under $7 and I had to take some home! True spicy flavor if your into spicy food. Usually I order a 5 other places and they over do it where it changes the actual flavor of the food...here, the flavor remains consistent and you won't have to worry about a blister in your mouth. Just had lunch here. Ordered an two orange chicken lunch meals which included pork fired rice and egg rolls. I also got a side order of crab rangoon. Let's start with the orange chicken itself. As noted before, I got two orders of the chicken. One I ordered spicier than the other. When receiving the order, however, it was not noted on the containers which was the spicier one. After tasting both, I realized neither was spicy. I also realized the chicken wasn't fresh, at all. It tasted old. I had to spit out the original piece I put into my mouth, it was that bad. The rice was very bland, and lacked any pork or vegetables for that matter. There were a couple of pieces of broccoli that were mixed in with the chicken and some peas in the rice, but that was it. The crab rangoon were completely stale. I ate two and through away the remaining four. The only saving grace in the entire meal was the egg roll. It was crispy and tasted alright.
