Super slow service. Like incredibly slow. I can't even remember how the food tasted because the service was so slow. Maybe we came on the wrong day, but the fries were cold when they finely called us up. My only positive memory was the Mexican corn. I won't be back. They really need to fix the service. read more

There is not a lot I can say about the food that hasn't already been said. My cheeseburger was a perfectly juicy and flavorful medium with a soft bun and all the right fixings. I actually really like that they don't put any raw onion on most of the burgers, as well. I like onion just fine but on a burger or sandwich I just end up tasting raw onion all day and it becomes obnoxious after a while. I'm sure you could ask for it if you want it, but I appreciate that no onion is the default. The sweet potato fries were also great. What I _can_ say is that they knocked it out of the park as far as service goes after Bottlerock this year. They were open an extra hour so I stopped to get a late night bite right after the event ended and I fully expected to wait forever because they were slammed. Instead I waited maybe 7-10 minutes and my food was ready. They were not serving alcohol during the extra hour (and that probably would have slowed things down a lot) but still, for the amount of people that showed up all at once they were killin' it... and friendly/not stressed out either. I love coming to this spot because the food is always amazing. Usually I like to get the ahi tuna burger, but sometimes i like to change it up and get a different burger. A burger is never complete without a beer, and I love the fact that they sell that here. Washing your burger down with a beer is always victorious. My girlfriend always loves getting the milkshakes here too. I'm not a big dairy fan but these are always sweet and delicious. The inside of the restaurant is pretty neat. I love the sign that says "eat." It really gives you that american diner type feel. Oh, and the glass that separates the dinning area and the kitchen is awesome, I love restaurants that showcase how our food is made! read more

Good quality and tasteful food with a good variety of options for a burger joint. The outdoor seating is nice, even during the winter. The divides between the tables is a great touch. There is a free parking lot close by which is easy to access and an easy walk to Gott's. read more

Ate The Impossible Burger here---twice(!) during my visit to Napa. Delicious. Great burger. Well crisped 1/3 lb patty. Can't tell it's vegan. Idk if all locations cook The Impossible Burger as well as Gott's, but this place is great. Lots of locals. Beef Burgers, turkey burgers, salads, soups, shakes as well as other items, too. We came to Oxbow Public Market on a Sunday evening, wanting to check out Ca'Momi, but they were closed. Bummer. Nothing else around seemed too appealing to dine out with the kids, so we just took a short walk to Gott's. Since none of us have actually been here before but heard so much about it, it seemed like a win-win based on the circumstances. There were few tables open and we quickly realized that it's all self seating, so we went ahead and split the duties of ordering and holding the table. Though spacious, the ratio of guests to tables is disproportionate so I suggest to do the same if there is a line to order. Burgers at Gott's are stuff of legend so naturally that's what we went for. My Green Chile burger was tasty and fresh but far from the "best ever" category. I would even go as far as to say that it's only slightly above average. We also got some fries and onion rings which all have to be ordered a'la carte so the bill was a bit high for the type of food. However, compared to dining out at the nice restaurant anywhere in Napa, you can say Gott's Roadside is a bargain. They also had few beers on tap and even though Fieldwork was the next stop we went with Japanese Rice lager...very refreshing. Everything taken into account, Gott's did not disappoint but neither did wow us. It was a nice, relaxing stop close to the Oxbow Public Market. If we were not in the area, there are other places that I'd be anxious to give a shot to before going to Gott's. But if say, we come back to Oxbow and want something quick and not (too) expensive, Gott's just might be it.... read more

I'd really like to give it a higher rating -- but the bun is the problem .......The meat in the burger is pretty good (but came across some hard grissle) and was charred nice, but for me you have to have a good, fresh hamburger bun. The buns on our burgers were on the hard side and stale, with a flaky top and crumbly crumb that fell apart which means the bread has been sitting around a while. Fries were good. Stopping here was a good decision -- I needed something in my belly fast after trying to run on some surprisingly hilly Napa trails. Tried the veggie burger patty as a "classic" burger (lettuce, tomatoes, pickles & secret sauce on a toasted egg bun.) Topped the meal off with a coffee shake (another great decision). Ya know, I just can't love you. It's not you, it's me. I've tried so many times and upon every visit I just feel let down. Your prices hurt my wallet and your portion sizes leave me hungry. While I appreciate your friendliness and eagerness to please, your enthusiasm doesn't make the food taste better or the prices lower. Having not eaten yet and getting super HANGRY, as we approached the city I just wanted to stop to the closet place and this was it. What made our visit extra special was one of their fantastic employees who went out of his way to help us out with our kids, high chairs, seating etc.! He had such a great attitude, so friendly and nice and enthusiastic about the restaurant and the menu. When I forgot to order my husband'a soda and saw the long line that had accumulated, he went out of his way to help us get it without waiting in line. What fabulous customer service! Came here expecting more... just average in my book. Shake shack much better. Not sure why this annoyed me but it did... the fact that they put bacon on top of their patty and cheese on top of the bacon. my opinion is burger taste much better when the cheese is on top of the patty and bacon as the topper. Hope that description made sense. Chili cheese fries pretty good. Strawberry shake tastes weird more like chocolate. It's like they made the strawberry shake in the same container after a chocolate one. Can't say I would go back considering the wait time was extensive. read more

We came to Gott's for "apps" before our Morimoto reservation Tehehe. We tried the Mexican Corn on the Cobb for the first time and it was the best I've ever had! The corn was cooked to perfection and the spread was so creamy and flavorful. The spices were on point. We also ordered garlic fries and onion rings. Everything was cooked perfectly and the garlic fries were not overpowering. Staff is always friendly at all of the Gott's locations that I've visited. I work right by the ferry building location in SF and frequently go there for lunch. Their prices are up there but to be expected for a more "upscale" burger joint. read more

Food was meh. I'd much rather have In-N-Out for a third the cost. Beware the cheeseburger "up charge". I ordered a cheeseburger with cheddar instead of American. On the receipt they charged me for for a cheeseburger without cheese (isn't that a hamburger?) and charged me another buck for cheddar. When I questioned them about it, they said they can't add cheese to a hamburger. WTF? $10 for a boring cheeseburger with wilted lettuce. My root beer float was $5 of foam with a little ice cream. At least the fries were good. Not worth the money or the ratings. There are plenty of good restaurants in Napa. Go elsewhere. read more

Gott's Roadside has two locations: one by SF Ferry building and one in Napa Valley Downtown. It is a order, pay + sit type of restaurant which makes it very easy to come with larger parties to avoid the whole splitting the bill process. I ordered the CITRUS & AVOCADO CHOP salad that was layered with spice rubbed chicken, quinoa, tomatoes, red onions and more! + a side of pesto & sweet potato fries. I call this balance my friend. Tehe.  The salad was pretty good and very flavorful because of the spice chicken. The addition of avocado and tangerines gave texture and color to what could have been a basic salad. I have been getting into veggie bowls as of late, so devouring this was ezpz! My friends also ordered a few of their burgers and soups. Just OK. I was super excited for a delicious burger. The items on the menu all sounded great. Ended up with Clam Chowder, 2 cheeseburgers, regular fries and garlic fries. Burgers ordered medium well came out medium. no big deal. The issue I had is the burger patty had no real flavor. The edges where it was seared had a bit of flavor, but overall, these patties lack seasoning. The bun was on point. Overall, between the pickle and their house sauce, it was a bit too "pickly" for me. Fries were ok. needed salt and were not really crispy. Clam chowder was good. Keep working on the seasoning for your patties and let me know when you get it dialed in. read more
