This was a fun place to grab a quick bite to eat with kids. You order at a register, take a buzzer and wait for your food. Lots of seating inside and outside. The outside even had heaters above each table. The kids cheeseburger was decent in size. I was pretty impressed with the kids portion. The burger was the best plain cheeseburger I've had in a while. The bacon cheeseburger was delicious. Add avocado and it was even more delicious. Their special sauce was the best ever according to my son. The Green chili burger was okay. Spicy and needed a little something. The Ahi tacos were phenomenal!!! Order a set of three and share them if you want a burger. I promise you won't regret. I even added some do their special ranch to the top and they were even more amazing!!! Sweet potato fries were some of the best I have tasted. Regular fries were ehhh...The we're not hot so that could have been some of the problem. I loved that they served beer and wine. We were a little disappointed because they were out of the cheese for fries, out of soft serve ice cream and out of the brussels sprouts. It was towards the end of the night so maybe that is why. So happy to finally try the famous Gotts! The ordering process was quick & easy & our food was ready rather quickly as well. My burger was cooked to perfection & the garlic fries we got with it were crispy, garlicky & delicious! They have many spots to sit, out front, by the parking lot or in the garden out back -- you bus your own tables so the tables are not very clean but I wasn't upset about it. Definitely will be returning here to try more of their menu items when I'm in the area! read more

I am surprised at all the not so great reviews. I had Gott's many years ago but don't really remember. This time I was in Napa for a wedding reception next door and decided to stop by. Got the burger, chicken sandwich, fries and chocolate soft serve cone dipped in chocolate. I really loved everything. So much so that I can't wait until it opens near me in LA at The Grove. If the food is the same I'll probably go there a ton. The burger tasted char broiled which I loved. The chicken sandwich was really good with the spicy sauce as it wasn't too spicy. This is an iconic roadside burger (and more) place that shouldn't be missed. The burgers are delicious and they do a great job with the fries and shakes as well. Great casual spot to fuel up before wine tasting. Expect lines on weekends but it moves fairly quickly. Know what you want to be ready to order when you get up to the cashier. My husband got the classic burger which is simply good. A good simple classic burger that's good! Not overly cooked and has good flavor. I tried the special which is a chicken torta. This was not good in my opinion. Belongs more as a bowl rather than as a sandwich. The flavors didn't mesh well for me. The chicken was cooked well and was crispy tho. Onions rings were delish. Actually stumbled upon this spot on the way back down from a road trip. It stood out with its outdoor aesthetic. Cute place that brings you back in time and carries the summer vibes. Was able to bring my dog and enjoy the amazing sunset. Got wisconsin burgers, garlic fries, and sweet potato fries. Everything was solid but definitely didn't make me feel like I absolutely had to come back for the food itself. Also got a vanilla soft serve not pictured. It was a big one though and so worth! Service was alright, nothing outstanding. Not sure what their intention was but one kinda had an attitude to my partner saying he could have just ordered the soft serve when he ordered the food. But he only ordered the soft serve after we ate because we didn't know if we would want it after we finished our meal? I was so looking forward to trying their lobster BLT special. The sandwich was a fatty. That said, it was fat with lettuce, a thick slice of tomato, undercooked bacon and a hint of lobster. This was my first time here and I decided on the fried avocado tacos which were a first for me. Delicious however it had only one piece of fried avocado per taco. This location has large indoor and outdoor dining spaces. The weather was beautiful so we chose to dine on the patio. David ordered the burger and fries and stated that it was delicious and a bargain for the price. I ordered the special heirloom tomato and burratta cheese sandwich with a glass of the Daisy Sauvignon Blanc wine for $29.37. A bargain for Napa! Service was friendly and efficient and parking was ample and free at the Oxbow parking lot which was guarded by off duty police. We recommend this location of Gotts!! read more

I was in town for the weekend and had dinner here one night. The place is an institution in Napa so definitely wanted to try it. I went with the Wisconsin Burger: Griddled mushrooms, Zoe's bacon, cheddar cheese, mayo & BBQ sauce (I held this) on a toasted country roll. The burger and toppings were very tasty. I think it was the wrong choice of bun though. It was just really dry and flavorless. Maybe if I had the BBQ sauce on it too, it would have been better. I love the fries though. Crisp outside, soft inside. Had a nice local white wine to drink. Overall I had a good meal. I would maybe do a different bun next time. That is the only thing I did not like. read more

The parking lot was small and crowded, but there is turnover and someone was pulling out right when we got there. I almost bailed when I saw the long winding line. But it moved fast, we waited maybe 10-15 minutes, then another 5-10 for our food. Our meal cost $79.10 total including tax/tip for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. * Western Burger - 5 stars The blue cheese + bacon + BBQ sauce + pickles was an incredible and punchy flavor combo. The onion ring added some nice texture. The bun was soft but still contained the contents admirably. First time here - this place always seems so busy, but I came in the late evening & there was plenty of seating. The menu has a lot of burger choices, salads, tacos & more. I chose a simple burger + bacon. They slathered on the ketchup - it was an unusual tasting ketchup, but my friends enjoyed it. I also ordered a shake to go - very delightful. Located on the outskirts of downtown, parking is plentiful and easy to find. It does get pretty busy at times and there may be a line but it moves pretty quickly. Indoor and outdoor seating are both available. Blue Ring Burger (4/5): super delicious. The patty was juicy and tender. The bacon was really crispy and the onions were perfect. The goat cheese was a bit strong though towards the end. Overall Gotts is a good place for a delicious burger. My husband picked up our dinner at Gott's Napa. Everything except the poke tacos and sweet potatoes fries were in the box. I drove back to Gott's with my receipt, informed them my order was missing tacos and fries. The woman looked at me and said " it was in there". How dare her, I would not make an extra trip back if my order was complete! I don't normally complain, but I spent $70 on dinner, so yes, I'm going back to get the missing food. The fact that the lady who I believe was the manager basically called us liars was the most off putting thing about this. Was really surprised when I visited! I came for Bottlerock and wanted to eat a meal before entering and having to pay festival prices for food. Me and my friend came here and absolutely loved the aesthetic here, kinda rustic, with big windows and open spaces. The food was good, the burger was fine imo not too special but the garlic fries were great, so much flavor and definitely worth the small upcharge. Service was nice too, nothing to complain about. It's your typical counter service burger joint - you order and they give you a buzz when your food is ready I had the double cheeseburger and my wife had the chicken tenders. We enjoyed both. The burger was cooked perfectly: the patties was juicy and the bun was toasted. The tenders were delicious and not dry. The regular fries were also good. We had a taste of our friend's garlic fries and they were phenomenal. We also got the peanut butter chocolate shake which was good, wish it had more chocolate though. The place overall was laid back. After a beautiful day celebrating Virgo Season in Calistoga.....we had to make Gott's our last stop....Don't do it! Gott's Roadside should be a service station versus food. Buns cold, meat has no flavor AT ALL! California Grilled Chicken Sandwich had a slim chicken patty that may have been quick grilled then steamed. Presentation was nice until I took the bun off. My Sis & Cousin said the Cheeseburger and Western burger was ground up cork and taste as such. Talk about recycling! The spoiled Lemonade and Strawberry Lemonade was feet squeezed and not hand squeezed. After fighting flies I figured it out. The flies deserve this food! Let me start my saying my burger was so delicious. I had a cheeseburger with a turkey patty. The cheese was so melty and the secret sauce was very tasty. All served on an "egg bun" that reminded me of a good, firm brioche. My kids enjoyed regular cheeseburgers (one a kid size and one a regular size) and both were enjoyed and generous portions. It's a quick service kind of restaurant so expect to walk up and place your order, walk away with a buzzer and go back to collect when ready. Casual ambiance but clean and there was plenty of seating inside and out when we arrived just before noon. Service here will never be quick (and undoubtably a higher takeout business has hurt service at the restaurant) but we had both quick service and a great meal tonight.
