This is probably one of the worst burgers I've ever had. Like at least McDonald's has consistently mediocre burgers, but this takes it to the next level. The patty is burnt. The bun is cold and soggy and falling apart. The cheese is not melted, and it's just a slice of Kraft or something. There's not much sauce, and the burger gets its volume from like four tomato slices. Like why would you do that? The fries taste raw or severely undercooked. And it was $22 for a meal. That honestly was worse than McDonald's. It puts the Gott's in the ferry building to shame. At least they use ketchup with no HCFS? read more

This place opens at 7-7:30am for breakfast 6 people that work there standing around. Problem is breakfast stops at 10. So 9:30 breakdown. It baffles me sometimes as to how businesses make money. This is a forced food place, meaning your forced to eat from only a few places. And they act as though they know that. Just rating low based on operational stupidity. Food was just okay. The traditional cheese hamburger included 1/3 lean but juicy beef patty, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles (all very fresh), two slices of American cheese & secret sauce on a toasted egg bun. For ~$9, I get it -- that's a lot of money and doesn't include any fries or a drink, but that's just the going rate these days for high quality, decently sized burgers. Putting that to the side, the egg bun was soft, and all of the inside components of the burger were equally distributed making each bite a perfect mix. The 'secret sauce' is some mix of mayo/ketchup/mustard/relish. It definitely added a kick and dressed up a traditional cheeseburger. I really appreciated the thick cuts of tomato! Really unhappy with the 50 dollar lunch I got here. I ordered the burgers medium well and they came rare. I asked for cheese burgers and got something with bacon and an onion ring- to which I'm allergic. Now I'm waiting to board a plane hoping I won't have an allergy attack. Came here Sunday, June 3, 2018 @ 5:11pm. My flight is going to board in 10 min and this place is by the gate. The place is busy and you order with a cashier and the exposed kitchen has a line of cooks that prepare your food. They are moving slow, I don't really see food coming out fast and now I'm worried as I wait and hope I don't miss my flight over an airport chicken sandwich. Just had a terrible burger here. We both got burgers. Mine was the bacon and blue which had plenty of bacon and blue cheese but was charred black and crispy. Not a single drop of juice dripped from the burger "toast." My partners burger was also charred black and crispy but was saved by abundant secret sauce so it wasn't as dry as it looked like it would be. Gott's is famous for its locations in the Ferry Building, downtown St. Helena, as well as at Napa's Oxbow Market. Their latest is at SFO's International Terminal, overlooking China&Korean Air, along with Emirates and JetBlue. As far as airplane food is concerned, they're pretty good. Their dining area gets crowded easily. I went for their sweet potato fries, which are superb. I've had dry ones, charred ones, but Gott's makes them just right. They make them per order. Their chicken teriyaki sandwich is something else. The chicken is nice&juicy. It comes with a cooling green sauce, but bears no resemblance to teriyaki. The sandwich comes across as a cross between Jamaican jerk&a banh mi. It's very spicy. A major criticism is their VERY slow service. I've seen slow service at airport restaurants before- it's odd, considering the urgency&sometimes people have to rush to board their flights. I was in the International Terminal yesterday when JetBlue was informing two passengers over the intercom that they only had a minute to board before the flight for NYC shut its doors. The Gott's in Napa&St. Helena know how to handle crowds. If they were as slow at their locations as they are at SFO, there'd be a lot of disgruntled customers. The people there are friendly, but they really need to speed things up. It's gourmet, artisan "fast" food, and taking the "slow food" concept too far. read more

I had the Texas Avocado burger and it was super good, nice medium heat from jalapeños tucked beneath the avocado. I had some Peet's coffee to go with mu burger. Service was quick and friendly. So excited to have a great burger place at SFO! They have many fun options, including fried eggs and gluten free buns. Even though it's SF with great food for every diet, it's actually surprisingly hard to find a GF bun at SFO. When I'm traveling, it's nice to have an easy sandwich option- this place fits the bill! Sweet potato fries were plentiful and I got yummy aoli. They also had several kinds of kombucha. Pretty quick service and I thought their to-go packaging was easy to eat out of as well as good for maintaining quality. I always recommend this place to both GF and non -GF folks. I only wish they weren't at the end of the international terminal/ there were more of them! read more

Difficult for me to review airport restaurants as the price markup is always OUTRAGEOUS so it's so hard to compare to other experiences on the outside... so 3 stars. It's a pretty solid choice to eat when travelling through SFO's international terminal and I would definitely pop back here again next time I'm around. ~ Atmosphere: it's neatly tucked away at the far end of the terminal and has a very relaxing atmosphere. Great views out towards the planes. There's a bar available so if you're just stopping by to grab a drink, it makes a lovely place to kick back and relax before your boarding time. ~ Customer Service: The customer service here is pretty good. The cashier was very friendly - they give you a buzzer that lights up and vibrates when your order is ready. Not super quick, but efficient no-nonsense service to save you the extra stress. Sauces are self-serve. ~ Food: We got 2 soft drinks and ordered sweet potato fries and garlic fries. Both were quite nice and tasted freshly made and great for a light snack before your flight. I cringed when it cost me around $20 though, but hey it's what you get at an airport. If I'm back around, I'd probably try one of their burgers to see what it's like since I've heard good things about the food at Gott's. Based on my experience though, it's a solid 3 stars. It took 25 minutes for our food to be ready, only to find out they gave us a chicken sandwich instead of a burger. It took another 10 minutes to get the correct order. It is really unacceptable to list anything as a gluten-free item, when it clearly is not. I was really skeptical that beer battered tacos could be gluten-free, and when I asked about it, the response was: "oh, I guess not. We messed that one up ha ha." So also unacceptable. Get it together--A restaurant that prints allergy information incorrectly shouldn't exist--it's dangerous. And employees really should know at this point about the top allergens in food if they're going to work in food service. read more

Welcome addition to international terminal A which was sorely lacking food options for a long time. Fireside grill is right at the front after security but keep walking to the end of the terminal. Gott's is a classic burger joint from napa county, originally called Taylors automatic refresher, then expanded down to sf ferry building and beyond now. Good burgers, good salads, Mexican inspired breakfast food, famous sweet potato fries and garlic fries and milk shakes, and full bar. All here. Huge bar and tv's...yep. Got the California chicken sandwich, anchor steak, sweet potato fries, and wife got the citrus and avocado salad with adobe spiced chicken and I'm feeling pretty darn satisfied before this long haul flight to Rome. Is it the best burger ever, no, is it airport priced, yes but it's 4 stars in my book. Also, it can be a wait but there are lots of seats and we were quoted 20 min wait and it came out in 10 min, so kudos to Gott's! read more

Gott's is usually great, this one at the airport is awful! Took forever to get the food which I guess can be understood because it's at the airport but they should plan for that. The bad part was after that wait all of our food was burned to a crisp EXCEPT the French fries which were old, cold and soggy. Just because you have a captive audience and there is only one other food option in that gate area does mean you get to serve garbage food. Burger King-level food at 4x the price. Seriously. At an airport one expects to pay perhaps a 50-100% premium - but not a 400% premium. I have no problem paying close to $20 for a burger and fries if the quality is there (e.g., Counter) but this place seems to have skipped the quality bit and just targeted an absurd price point. read more

Our flight was delayed so we used our vouchers to grab some burgers. Although priced on the high side, the texas avocado burger (with Jack cheese and jalapenos), bacon cheeseburger and California burger (fried egg, bacon and arugula) all sounded delicious. We waited a while for our burgers. You'd think it's be rather quick, but not. When we did get it, they were cold and dry. These ladies are hella slow. I know this is airport dining, so prices will be on the high side all over. But with the slow service, I'd recommend going elsewhere. read more

I first stumbled upon this place at the Ferry Building location while walking around the area at night looking for a bite to eat. After seeing the great reviews and the line (if a place has a line, its probably worth it). I ended up getting the California Burger at that time and it was great. I was not able to take any pics there but I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a location at San Francisco Airport. I was happy to see that the price difference between the Ferry Building location and the Airport location was small. ($10.99 vs $12ish) It was located in the International Terminal of the Airport near Gates A9-A12. There was a small line of about 10 people or so to place order but it moved pretty fast. I ordered a Texas Avocado burger and a fountain soda which came up to about $18 total. I was told that there was a wait of a minimum of 20 minutes to get the food, which was on par with the wait time of the Ferry Building location. There is limited seating there. I was there at about 12 PM on a Thursday and couldn't find any seats on the Gott area. I stood for about 10-15 minutes and was finally able to get a seat. After about 20 minutes or so my buzzer went off and I went to get my food. There are two condiment stations with ketchup, mustard napkins and straws. The burger was great just as the previous one I had at the Ferry Building. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the Airport regardless or not whether you've already had it or not. read more

Check your foood because parchment paper was cooked and left on the cheese in my burger and served to me. Took me maybe 4 bites till I noticed there was a weird texture on my cheese. I did get a refund (not the full amount since my burger was half eaten) but they did offer to make a new one. I declined since I was about to board the plane. read more
